Very professional. Same guy--Ferdinand--comes each year and is everything one would wish in a professional. And no--I don't work for the company. It's just nice to encounter this level of service nowadays.

I highly recommend C M Kristman. They were extremely professional to work with, and even squeezed an appointment in for a septic inspection on a Sunday. Bob performed the septic inspection. He was very thorough, and had already completed the inspection by the time I arrived at the home. He walked me through the entire process and explained the issues with the septic in detail. I found him to be very honest, and professional to work with. The price was very reasonable ($250.00).

Fast and efficient. These guys actually installed my septic tank as well. Highly recommended. Very friendly & professional.

Kristman's people were very responsive, recognizing a critical problem with our system and moving quickly to get our work done before more damage could ensue. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and explained the work they were doing in terms we could understand. Don't hesitate to call them if you need just a pump-out or something big, such as a new septic system.

I couldn't remember who we had the last time so i searched Angie's List. This company was responsive and professional. I didn't hear from them for few days and then they called to say they haven't forgotten me and schedule the service date. They were prompt and very clean, meaning you didn't know they were there. They performed the inspection. When they determined that a plumber would be better for the job, they recommended a plumber and did not charge for coming out. Even the plumber they recommended came the same day, fixed the problem and was reasonably priced. They have done work for us in the past (tank pumping and blocked pipe repair that required excavation) and I would call them again in an instant.

Our septic alarm went off and we were past due for a pump out. I called Kristman on Monday and they made sure they were out Tuesday to pump out our system. On Wednesday they checked out the system and replaced the float and alarm. The office staff was very responsive and the technicians were very professional and friendly. They were a pleasure to deal with and we will definitely call them next time we have a septic issue.

I could not be happier with my experience. I am writing this review less than 24 hours since I contacted C M KRISTMAN EXCAVATING & SEPTIC SERVICES INC! I emailed through Angie's List yesterday, got a phone call within two hours and they were at our house by 2:00 pm today. I just got off the phone with CM Kristman where I was given a full report and some education on our system. I called a different company on Monday night and received no response. So, I joined Angie's List, read the reviews and could not be more satisfied.l Thank you MC Kristman!

They are a little pricey but they show up when they say they will if not sooner. They're very professional. They were very careful when they were digging up to put the line into our front yard where they had to actually dig where they couldn't like put the pipes through the ground with a big machine to make sure that they did not hurt the roots of our large trees. I have a small tree that Mr. McGovern wanted to get rid off to put the pipe in there and I loved it and Mr. Kristman said, "Don't worry." and the trees are still alive and this was four years ago. I would recommend them in a heart beat to anybody. They go above and beyond what's expected. When we had the first problem with the pump when the township was putting in the water lines one of the gentlemen who was working on the street part, in other words, what we were not responsible for had worked for Mr. Kristman and when my husband was like, "Oh! My god. What are we going to do?" He went up and he asked, "Hey, you guys can any of you deal with this? I'm happy to pay you." and he recommended Mr. Kristman. So he actually called them to come over and see if they could fix things and in the mean time we had called the largest of the excavators in Chester county, Mr. McGovern. Kristman came over looked at it within an hour, he was here personally and within three hours everything had been completely fixed. Mr. McGovern showed up at 5 o'clock that afternoon and was ticked off that we wasted his time and the work had already been done. I was like, "Well, you didn't come when we asked you to." So the workers for the township had worked for Mr. Kristman and recommended him. So that's how we ended up with him and since he did that job so well that's why we went with him for the big city water thing.

Managed to break one cap on the drain field pipes while mowing the lawn. Called Kristman on Friday and since I didn't consider the broken cap an emergency (they'd show up immediately for emergency calls), they showed up the next business day (Monday) and took care of the mess I created without requiring me being at home. All I know is when I got back it was all fixed and there was no trace of any digging/damage or dirt to lawn or driveway. Very clean and professional job. Now, they've done work for me in the past and if you happen to have questions on what they do, they'll go out of their way and take as long as needed to answer any concerns or curiosity you may have about how systems work. Extremely friendly staff and highly recommended.

It went well. I expected all of the solids removed from the tank. There was a fair amount of solids left at the bottom of the tank when the service was completed. I do not know if all the solids should be removed, or only a majority of the solids should get removed. I lack any expertise concerning septic maintenance. The company was great to work with and I would recommend them.

Their customer service is OUTSTANDING. They answer their phone every time you call and they take the time to talk to you. I am still in the market for a new home and if another septic inspection is needed. C M KRISTMAN is the first one I'm going to call. And if all goes well with the home they are the company I will use for all my septic needs.......

From the first phone call to until the final work was preformed, Kristman was professional, honest, and on time. I originally called 4 companies and no one came even close to Kristman's performance. Being a new septic system owner who didn't even know what or were my system was, they could have taken advantage of me but did not. Because my tanks were not located where plans showed, they located tanks quickly using high tech sewer video. Their work estimates in time and $'s were right on mark. Glad I found them from Angie's list last week.

I went outside to locate my septic tank lid after the first company I called couldn't find it after poking around for an hour. I knew it was in the general vicinity where he looked. I dug a 3+ foot ditch X 3 feet wide and found it...It was 3 feet down! Needless to say I called another company, C M Kristman, and they sent someone right out to pump it. The driver, Ferdinand, was soooo nice and professional. He pumped the tank and then probed approximately 3 feet around the lid I'd found and found another lid! He said I had two separate lids to remove and pump. One has solids and the other liquids. He pumped that one, too. I never wanted to dig such a ditch again, nor did I want to keep paying a company to do it (twice) every few years so we discussed risers to bring the lid to the surface. The price was right and they sent two guys to put them in on that same day! Where else can you find such service??? NOWHERE! The price was right and the job was done wonderfully. I HIGHLY recommend this company and I'll definitely have them back to my house in the future. They are a full service company that cares about their customers, their future customers, and their reputation.

Customer Service from the time I made the appointment to the time they came for the service was fantastic. Professional and courteous.

Everything is operating absolutely perfectly now and will continue to do so as long as the electricity stays on. May go to solar for that issue.

Home inspection report on home purchase indicated issues with septic. I found Kristman on Angie's List and sent an e-mail late Friday, to which she responded Friday evening via e-mail and called me Saturday morning, spending almost an hour verbally sharing with me her knowledge and advice! They don't service our area, so this was done with no expectation of being hired to provide services. Their feedback was critical in developing our counter-proposal (which was subsequently accepted!)

They were very good. They were extremely polite on the phone & very quick about giving me prices. They did the work in two stages & both times they were very responsive.

We just moved into our home three months ago and with all the rain that Hurricane Sandy dumped on us, the sand alarm in our basement went off at around 11pm. I called their emergency number and explained the situation on voicemail. Someone promptly called me back the next morning (at 7am) and they were here by 9:00am. So prompt; especially given the bad weather. They came out to pump our tank and also looked at our whole system. Since my husband and I were totally new to having septic, Bob took the time to explain the whole thing to us and answer our questions. We now better understand how this system works and he also gave us helpful tips on how to prolong the life of the system in general. The found a leak in the sand tank and before their truck had even left our driveway the office manager called us with an estimate to come back and fix it once the ground had dried a bit. Overall it was a great experience. We signed up to have them call us in a year to have regular maintenance performed.

We needed a job done and they did it superbly

I had CM Kristman install a new septic system. The job was not a standard job nor was it easy. There was a lot of excavation work and a lot of very large stones to remove. Their initial estimate was in the middle of the pack, but I knew from previous work at this property that there would be contingencies. They appeared very experienced and provided the most thorough estimate. We discussed possible contingencies in advance and Kristman worked with me to minimize the cost overruns. Ultimately they came in very close to the estimated price and did a very good job. They were generally professional and responsive until the project ran over due to continuous bad weather, then they were a bit hard to nail down and took some encouragement to finish the final details. I would hire them again to do the same job and believe that they handled a very challenging situation better then most contractors would have.
