After calling and scheduling and being stood up by three "major" flooring retailers in the Downingtown area, I ended up cold calling Alice Dunfee and her flooring outfit. She had me send some shots of my interior to her, showed up the next day as scheduled -on time, with perfect selections for my budget and aesthetic requirements. She proceeded to take meticulous measurements, advise me on my choices for both carpet and padding so as to maintain warranties, meet my lifestyle and cleaning requirements, and had everything selected and ordered for me that day. She then worked with my construction crew to facilitate installation and finish work, not necessarily in the most convenient or logical order for her - but that kept me sane, and the rest of my job on track and in order. She was thoroughly professional, personable and reliable. I'll be moving on to hardwood flooring replacement with her as well, and would use her for any future flooring needs.
