Balla Custom Services (BCS), is a full service contracting company. Our commitment to excellence can, and should, be seen every step of the way in our transactions – from quote to completion. We bring consistent, quality service to our customers. Honesty, integrity, and strong work ethics make up the foundation of our business. We bring creative building solutions ranging from “a simple fix” all the way to new additions to existing structures. We recognize the value in homes and properties and we thoroughly enjoy taking part in building projects that maintain or increase the worth of our clients’ assets. We set standards in regards to our employee/subcontractor interactions that set us apart from many other contracting companies. Every detail that goes into our daily processes shows how much we care about bringing success to all persons involved with our company. We recently combined two small rooms and a closet to create one large walk-in pantry/laundry room with a dog washing station. The room turned out beautifully and we are really pleased with the outcome. BCS craftsmanship is top notch and all BCS employees were very nice to work with. Highly recommend!

BCS gave us our dream kitchen to make our forever home feel complete. Their designer attended to every detail and took time to listen to our ideas before putting together the design plan. Demolition was completed in only 3 days! This included knocking out an entire wall between our old kitchen and dining room. The team was very open to suggestions throughout the entire process. We are incredibly grateful to Brent and Tara for making us (especially me) feel at ease during this process.

We cannot say enough glowing things about the Balla team. BCS turned our unfinished crawl space of an attic into a gorgeous bedroom/bathroom. Not only are they expert craftsmen, but - even more importantly to use - each and every person we came in contact with at Balla, including subcontractors, was a kind and considerate person. We have a toddler and a newborn (who was born right around when the remodel started!), and everybody at Balla was so kind to our kids and to us. We truly came to think of the BCS team as family, and we cannot recommend Balla enough. They are professional, responsive, and excellent craftsmen as well as kind, wonderful human beings. We are so grateful to Balla and cannot recommend them enough.

We are very happy with the work done by BCS for our fully finished basement. We thought the BCS team did a great job on a large project. The team was professional from the start. The meetings held before construction began were helpful. The designer was very beneficial in helping us make decisions that would be cohesive with the rest of our home. As with any construction project there were a few delays that were largely out of BCS's control, but the team was able to work around delays (and the winter weather) to get the job done. Any issues were dealt with quickly and professionally. Brent and the team were always able to make things right and we are really pleased with the end result. The woodworking and millwork for our project was particularly outstanding! Overall, the project was a success.

We thought the Balla team did a great job, and we are very happy with our new deck, patio, and outdoor living space. The Balla team was responsive to our questions, and the on-site crew were genuinely nice people. As with any construction project, there are some unanticipated bumps in the road, and the Balla team was great about quickly finding solutions. In all, our project was a success, and we highly recommend the team at BCS.

Description of Work: They gutted our upstairs bathroom, and built it from the floor up. The job was to be finished by August 30, 2015. The job was finished on October 15th. The grout was all over the place. My husband ended up digging out all of the grout (in shower, and floor, and some of the wall tile, and redoing it. They did not seal the seems in the dry wall, above the shower. My husband had to do this. There was a tile missing on our floor next to the toilet, that my husband had to replace. They cracked our shower, in which my husband had to seal. There were holes in the bottom of our vanity, in which my husband made a new floor for. There was a hole in my closet wall, which is directly where the shower is in the upstairs bathroom. My husband fixed this hole. There was a chip in one of the tiles on the floor, in front of the toilet, which is obviously from someone dropping something. Chances are they did not use canvas covering, while they worked. My husband finally finished up correcting everything towards the end of March 2015. After the second shower in our new bathroom, we had water pouring into our 1st floor bathroom through the ceiling. This was fixed by cutting a whole in our downstairs bathroom ceiling, to get to the shower on the second floor. There were two leaks. These leaks where fixed by Balla Custom Contractors. My husband then had to fix the whole in the ceiling, in the bottom bathroom, and paint the ceiling. It is now 4-7-2015, and I finally took my first shower in our new upstairs bathroom. This was a complete nightmare. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

We sincerely apologize that you had such a poor experience with us at Balla Custom Services. We completely apologize for the problems you encountered when choosing us to remodel your bathroom. We do take full responsibility and recognize that these experiences must have been very frustrating for you as a homeowner. This is not an excuse, but just be assured that the subcontractor used to run your job was fired 3 weeks after your job was completed. We realized that the quality of services he provided did not match with what we expect to be delivered and only wish we would have caught this before he was allowed to work on your project. I hope that you can recall that we had done everything in our power to offer follow up and reconciliation for the insufficient quality work that you received. We hope to remind you of those follow ups in the following paragraphs which you did not make any mention of in your review. We must have different information on how long this project extended past August 2014. Our final invoice went to you and final payment was received was on 8/25/2014, we did not perform any work within your home in September or October. I, Brent Balla the owner, personally had conversations with both Mike & Lisa during the project and they expressed how happy they were with the work being done. I made the mistake as the owner to assume that everything was perfect. If at any point before, during or after the project you were unsatisfied we were not notified which is why this is all coming as a shock to us. We welcome client feedback at all times during a project and prefer to hear from you if something is disappointing to prevent miscommunication such as this months later on a social media outlet. We were sure that you heard us when we stated that we have a full 12 month warranty on all services and products that we install. Our office did not get a call back to fix anything, until February this year when Mike happened to be delivering a container to another job that Balla Custom Services was doing. There I talked with him and he expressed to me that he was not happy with the quality. His exact quote was “I took care of the problems myself, lucky for you and bad for me.” My response was “You know we have a warranty, and you can call us at any time to come back and fix anything”. Mike’s response was “It doesn’t matter now, I already fixed it”. In the middle of March, Mike called in our office and requested that we come out and fix the water leak from the shower. A “Quality Control” follow up appointment was scheduled for Monday March 30, 2015. I arrived there approx. at 11:30am prepared with plumbing parts and tools as well as drywall & spackle tools. I worked on fixing the leak and eventually got the leaks fixed. I then began to patch the drywall on the first floor that was damaged, I put on 3 coats of spackle. Then Mike said “You don’t need to finish that, I will, besides I want to repaint the ceiling anyway”. I asked Mike again if that is what he wanted and he insured me that it was. I cleaned up all my tools and materials and we walked outside. Mike said to me that he really appreciated me coming back and fixing this (for free), and I told him that is what we do at Balla Custom Services, and it is was not a problem at all. We are here and available to correct our mistakes and we do not force ourselves into a client’s home if they express that they do not want us to follow up any longer. In conclusion, I truly apologize for this situation and wish that you had a better experience with us. We do value your feedback and will use our shortcomings to improve in the future. Balla Custom Services did an excellent job - and it completely transformed our basement. We recently waterproofed our basement - but it was still dark and murky and a little bit scary. There needed to be more light. A single electrician spent the most part of a day installing the light fixtures. The new lights transformed the room into space we can use once we remove all the junk. I will probably put a pool table down there. They were very professional and they certainly showed up on time. Over all, I am pleased at how it turned out.
