Description of Work: I learned about R P Renovations and the "Deal" that was offered through Angie's List. I contacted the owner, Mr. Hoelsken, about painting my basement. I left a message for him to call me, which he did the same evening. He sounded interested in looking at the job and providing an estimate. So we made arrangements for him to come to my home the following Monday. I distinctly told him that if he was not able to make the appointment or if he was going to be late, to please let me know, given that I had to take time off from work to meet with him. Yes, you got it! A "no show" and not even the courtesy of a phone call. Why it is so difficult for some of these contractors to say at the onset that they are not interested in such a job or at the very least, call if they later decide they aren't interested in the job, or whatever the case may be. Come on! Get some courage and common courtesy and be up front with us!

Description of Work: Paul connected with me very quickly. Paul did a great job. Neat, clean and got it all done in 1 day- a bedroom 2 coats, ceiling, woodwork and doors. A very nice man. I would use Paul again.

Description of Work: Paul removed a broken mailbox for us and installed a new one. He also removed a portion of unneeded wood from below our deck and discarded of all the trash. It seemed to be quiet the job but he finished in no time at all. Paul is conscientious and reliable. Will definetly use him again.

Description of Work: Paul finished wainescoating in our nursery as well as painted both the wall and wainescoating. He also switched out a light fixture. It looks amazing. He was reasonably priced, on time, and neat. The bedroom turned out beautiful. Would recommend him and use him again.

They were all very courteous, and cleaned any mess that they made. I plan to call on this company again to do anything other paint jobs around my home.

 + 0 moreHe comes in and handles it all and does a very good job. He comes back until the job is finished. He's very reliable. He can do outside maintenance work and does painting as well. He can fix anything that needs to be fixed around the house.
Description of Work: He completely re-vamped one room from water damage, repaired the roof, fixed a very large crack in the wall from a room addition that went bad, and he also did small electrical repairs and plumbing.

 + 5 moreI am a senior citizen and live alone. My house needed many repairs and painting. Paul Hoelsken came over and gave me an estimate and a possible start date. He came on the selected date and started immediately to work. He is neat and careful about my furniture when he paints or does any repairs and goes over what he will do and usually has helpful suggestions about how the work should be done. I don't have any complaints about him or his work. He is very amicable.
Description of Work: Painted outdoor railing, scraped and primed, painted garage door, exterior doors, repaired two screen doors, waterproofed deck, painted picnic table, changed doorknobs and locks on exterior doors, painted kitchen walls, and repaired indoor railing, installed new hall closet door.

 + 3 morePaul has always called us back promptly to schedule an appointment. He has very fair pricing and always does a neat thorough job.
Description of Work: We had a bedroom wall repaired and painted that was damaged from a leaking chimney flashing. Paul did a very good job blending the new drywall compound into the old wall areas and did a very neat job of cleaning up afterwards. He also did a beautiful job of painting a bathroom using two colors. Paul also is an accomplished handyman that can do most home repairs and updates. He has installed new faucets, sinks, counter tops, vinyl flooring and a dishwasher for us in the past, all done professionally.
