They did an A-1 job and were in and out quickly.

Wow what a terrible experience I have had with this company and the owner Nicole. I called on August 3rd to book tables and chairs for my wedding Septmeber 26t 2020. After not getting the email with my contract I figured that they wrote my email down. I then sent them an email (So they could have the correct email) to let them know I did not get the emailed contract. A few days passed and I still did not get it. I then called and left a message on 8/13. After still not getting any call or email back. I emailed again and called 10 times since August 3rd. Finally on September 15th Nicole the owner from Affordable Tents and Awnings answered my Facebook message and somehow had the correct email and sent that within minutes if finally answering me. She didn't seem to even care that I had been trying to reach out. Then to top it all off when she finally called me on September 15th I asked if she could add on linens. She said no problem and that she would send a new contract ( the one she finally sent on the 15th, almost 5 weeks after booking them). She was confirming the address of my location of which she had the wrong zip code, I did correct that info and again everything was fine. After checking this afternoon for an updated contract I did not have one so I then emailed and asked for a new one. 10 days away from my wedding she emailed back and said "I'm sorry, after checking the address you gave me yesterday the event falls outside our delivery range and we do not have the ability to deliver these items for you on 9/26. I apologize but we were under the impression the delivery address was in the downtown area. I would suggest to contact Party Savvy which is located in Monroeville to see if they can perhaps fulfill your order." I do understand that people make mistakes but if she would have returned my emails or phone calls this could have been figured out in August and not 10 days before my wedding. I am not happy with the customer service because really there wasn't any and emailing to tell me that my event of 160 people was not able to be serviced was very unprofessional.

They got the wrong date of my event.. i checked in 4 times to make sure the date was right. The tent was dirty and had holes in it. Don’t use this company!!!! Very unhappy!! The white chairs were rusty.. They expected me to pay full price..

Our awning turned out even better than we could’ve imagined! The company was efficient and communicated well through the process. Materials used are fantastic, labor and install went perfect. Highly recommend them if your looking for an affordable way to change your outdoor space.

In a week from the time I ordered the awning, it was delivered and unstalled perfectly. the installers were polite and did an excellent job. They also explained the workings of the awning, and answewed all of my questions. I will highly recommend the company to anyone.

We are extremely pleased with the services we received from Affordable Tent and Awnings, and would highly recommend them to others (have already done so with our neighbors, who stop and comment on how great it looks)! For years, come summer time, our deck was essentially unusable due to no shade coverage. It became too hot to host people, even later into the evenings, so installing an awning has always been on our mind. Everyone who has seen our new awning has commented how it’s completely transformed our deck into a comfortable, cool, additional living space. It makes us regret not doing it years earlier!! We’ve been able to comfortably host people in the afternoon when the sun is at its strongest. We’ve also been able to host people when it’s raining! And it not only provides coverage to our deck, but keeps our patio area underneath dry as well. We did order 2 side flaps to drop down, on the side which receives the afternoon setting sun. Those additional pieces have also aided in blocking the sun and rain, but also provides additional privacy. As for their services, we had such a great experience from start to finish. We were greatly educated on the process and various options during our estimation meeting, and all of our numerous questions were answered in detail, and with patience. Upon agreeing to the work, we were constantly contacted with updates and estimated time frames for the work to be completed. A crew came out and installed the frame in 1 day, and 2 weeks later they came back and installed the canvas in 1 hour (canvas is specially cut to the frames dimensions, so is done after the frame is installed). This is where I feel they went above and beyond. Once the frame was installed, we had weeks of constant rain, which I’m sure caused them to be backed up on their schedule. We understood if the canvas awning couldn’t be installed within the estimated 2 week window provided to us, but did ask if there was any way to still have it completed on time, as we were hosting people that weekend and hoped to have it up. They responded that they would make sure it was done on time, and sure enough, they were able to find the time (and a few dry days!) in order to get it installed for us as promised. The quality of the awning is top notch, the frame includes brackets on our roof to provide the proper pitch, heavy duty metal to support the canvas weight, and quality canvas that has blocked all sun/rain. We’ve had some very big and strong storms come through since it’s installed, and haven’t noticed any movement or damage to anything. They even go as far as covering and tying the canvas around the frame underneath, so you don’t see metal (other companies did not offer that). All in all, we’re completely satisfied, would recommend to all, and are sad we didn’t do it years sooner!

We had them replace an existing awning and everything went well for a couple years. We pay them to put up the awning at the beginning of the season and take it down at the end of the season. We cannot seem to get them to put up or take down the awning in a timely manner. The owner Linda Gross told me that they cannot possibly give me a timeframe for when my awning will be put up, because she has 500 awnings she is storing and putting up for people this year. I understand it being put up a little late, but you really can't give me a timeframe (like 2nd week in April etc)? She was extremely rude on the phone when I called to check on when they would be putting up the awing and told me they never provide a timeframe, they'll get to us when the get to us and if I don't like it go elsewhere. I really wish I had known this before paying them thousands of dollars to replace my awning! Needless to say I cannot recommend them to anyone.

Awning is up and very nice and professionally installed. I plan to have my patio cushions re covered over the winter. Thank you.

Overall service from start to finish was fantastic. Josh was great and helpful during the sales process, their office staff was great during scheduling to meet my schedule, and the install crew was very professional and timely. They exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend!!!

After I purchased my house last fall, the previous homeowners had never told the company that they have moved(they of coarse do not follow up with homeowners before they show up). They showed up at took my awning. I eventually figured it out, but it has turned into a nightmare. I contacted them with updated information and told them that I wanted it cleaned in the fall. We were quoted for prices and was told that it was already in storage, and it would need cleaned when they took them out of storage in the spring. I was promised multiple dates of re-installation and it is still an ongoing issue. They showed up at my house this past weekend with my awning, that wasn't cleaned, so I had to stop them. They basically gave me every excuse between the weather, having a different brand of awning, it wasn't tagged for cleaning,employees quitting, competitors closing, etc.. On top of that I was basically told because of the awning that I have that they were going to drop me as a customer! Was told by Linda( the owners wife ) that I was lying and the excuses just continue to flow. Was told by her and her staff that it would be cleaned and returned next day and she insists that she said the end of the week. Terrible communication, never call back, constantly make excuses, can't keep up with demand. Do yourself a favor and avoid these headaches! On a positive note, the young guys that started the install that I had to stop were extremely nice.

We had our awning installed in May 2017, installation went smooth and we enjoyed the awning all season long. It is water proof and provided us with a great outdoor entertaining space. Would highly recommend this company.

Very professional and patient with elderly customer. Understanding and did not get frustrated with having to explain things multiple times. Work was finished within expected timeframe. Happy with end result.

Everything was one time and installation was done in the timeframe quoted. They did not leave a mess either. In addition was prompt in returning when we had one small issue with the raising and lowering of the awning. Really good to work with.

Best awning company in Pittsburgh... They cost thousands less than their competitors and provide better products/service. When we chose them to build our awning we were dealing with a difficult neighbor and a slow association approval process. Although they had a full schedule when our approval finally came through, they understood that we wanted to enjoy our deck for what was left of summer and had the awning up in no time. I know for a fact that other companies would have put us off until they were available, but Affordable Awnings understood our situation and did everything they could to keep us happy. Class Act!!!

Outstanding overall company. This is a true family owned and operated business that manufacturers locally. Josh, the salesman was very knowledgeable and was the only salesman out of 4 that actually asked and cared where the sun was positioned compared to my deck. They were very timely and kept all promises, i literally got a phone call within an hour of giving my info. I was shocked David the installer was done in a little over an hour. I can tell the awning was top quality after doing extensive research and was surprised it was the least expensive of the 4 i received. I already reffered two of my friends to this company. I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY.
