Bob The Handyman

I had completed most of the install and could not get the doors perfect. Bob came and quickly corrected the problem AND shared his knowledge. He further advised/taught me on how to properly insulate and finish the project. Very helpful, caring and kind.

Very pleased with all work completed. I have hired Bob for many jobs and will continue to hire Bob for future jobs.

Bob called to setup a free consultation and came to our house to provide a fair estimate (time and cost) and walked us through his plan. He called back a few days later with his start date and showed up exactly when he said he would. His work is amazing. He was finished on time and the project came in on budget. He is a professional and a hard worker that is dedicated to his craft.

Called Bob to do some painting for me. Needed 2 rooms painted. Bob arrived on time with all tools needed for the job, cleaned up, very professional. Would highly recommend him and will hire him again for anything I need done!!!

Bob is spectacular at what he does. Very knowledgeable and prefect for his profession. He thinks outside the box and really connects with the home owners to make them feel comfortable ..treating the home as if it were his own. He will be doing slot of work for us in the future.

Very well. Bob completed the work in the time frame established. He kept us well-informed about exactly what he was doing and why. He was cost-conscious. Although our township does not require permits, he made certain that everything was up to code and completely safe. Everyone who sees our new deck and stairs is impressed and asks who did the work. We will definitely contact Bob again when we need home improvements and repairs and have recommended him to our friends.

He showed up when he said he would. Did the work in a timely manner. Was an honest guy and cleaned up his mess. Very happy with the results.

Bob was a good man to work with, he wanted to know what we want to accomplish, he made a number of good suggestions. The remodeling project was in a very old home, issues of straight, level and plum were constant, he made a diligent effort to create a quality finish. He came when he said, did in a timely fashion and his application of the ceramic tile was exceptional. We would recommend Bob the Handyman to anyone, he did quality work for us.

I think he charged me $40. Their price was fair and their work was quality. The workers were very friendly and professional. Two people came out.

Great!! Bob has done fence installation, metal roofing, and now he is starting on a bedroom re-modeling with built-ins. He always completes the job in the required timeframe.

Bob was here 3 times in the last 2 months. He called several days in advance and showed up on time. Bob repaired interior steps, a front entrance, side and back porch, installed smoke alarms and inside painting. We felt that Bob provided value and would have him return.

Unlike more than half of the people in his business, Bob called me back, after my first phone call. Also, he actually showed up on time for the appointment we set. It's disturbing how many repairmen don't call you back or don't show up on time (or at all). My wife and I are sick of trying to get people to come to our house to do repairs. I understand that it's a simple courtesy, and it should barely be worth mentioning, but in every stage of my interactions with Bob he always did what he said he would do. He was always in contact when he said he would be, always on time, and always clear about the work he intended to do. At the end of the job he made sure I was satisfied with his work. I am very satisfied with the quality of Bob's work!. He worked hard, in sometimes grimey conditions, and was always pleasant and professional throughout. My wife and I were so relieved to have the stairs in our old house be solid and almost completely noisefree. I'm actually surprised to watch my own reaction as I enjoy walking up and down our stairs again. I wouldn't have thought such a basic thing could make me feel so good. When the work was complete I told Bob I felt lucky to have found him. He's a good guy doing good work at a very reasonable price. We've honestly been looking for years to find someone like him. An unreasonable side of me doesn't want to write this review because I'm afraid Bob will become too busy to ever give us this kind of service again. Still, he deserves it. I've already given him my list of things we need done for the next time he's available. Bob is excellent. You couldn't do better with anyone else.

Bob came earlier in June to do some touch-up painting after my new kitchen installation. Everything went well, except for the ceiling. Bob didn't think "touch-up" would do the job, but I was pretty sure it would dry well and match the rest of ceiling which had been painted only 2 years ago. Well, Bob was right and I needed entire ceiling in kitchen and adjoining dining and living rooms completely repainted. I purchased the paint (Valspar Reserve) and also helped Bob with the taping (masking) and Bob was able to complete the job in about 4 hours. I found Bob on Angie's List a few months ago when my aunt who lives nearby needed numerous jobs done around her house. My aunt has been extremely pleased with Bob's vast experience as a handyman, his terrific work and his trustworthiness -- as am I. I will certainly call on Bob again when I need help around the house, and I'm sure my aunt will as well.

He arrived promptly, with bags of salt and needed tools. The snow & ice removal of the path from the porch, down the steps, to the road, were all we had spoken about, He had to melt ice with salt before it could be removed. While he was there, I asked my brother to ask him to look at the washer and dryer which were left by previous tenants. He moved the washer, hooked it up, and looked at the dryer. He also mentioned an opening near door that was heat loss, and recommended a quick temporary fix for loss of heat. He did exactly what we agreed upon, and more. I was not at the Scranton address, but my brother said there was now a great path to the road from his porch.

Bob is a very nice person, dependable, and honest. After buying a home we had him paint every room, including the ceiling, add hardware where necessary, install locks on all the doors, change light fixtures, put sealant on the roof vents, etc. He charged by the hour rather than by the job, as I had an extensive list of things which needed to be addressed prior to our moving in.

I joined Angie's list last month because I was desperate to find reputable professionals to tackle the many problem areas of our home. Years ago--before Angie's List--I had had two awful experiences with handymen, one of whom overcharged, while the other was a bit on the creepy side. I was delighted with the work accomplished by Bob, a graduate of Johnson College. He called me back right away, and showed up early to work every day. He is meticulous about his work. For example, he replaced a door but was unhappy with the slightly uneven way it hung, due to an improperly installed frame.. Rather than letting it slide, since I hadn't even noticed, Bob pointed out the problem and insisted on taking the door down and planing it at his house so it would be perfect. We would definitely call Bob for future tasks--if he has time!

Bob did excellent work, and that is probably and understatement. He started early and worked hard throughout the days on the job. He included what I would call quality enhancements to the project that made the work that much better without an increase in price. He was polite and informative, and even educational, in explaining what and why he was doing the work in the manner he did to the fire damaged structure. He was very good at matching vinyl siding with pre-existing aluminum siding, particularly at corners.

Bob was great.. Came out and talked over plans and gave us an estimate within the time he promised.. Bob started the job exactly when he said he would.. He was always on time, and got the job done when he said he would. We are enjoying our time out on the deck... THANK YOU BOB SAM AND TANYA

He did some good work. He had a fair price. I went with him because he answered my phone call and returned my phone call. He was an honest guy. If he said he would be here eight hours, he was here for eight hours. He even stayed a little longer but didn’t make any fuss about it. He was good.

Project was not started. put on hold

Bob did truly excellent work. He was always on time, very reliable, and his prices were very fair. He worked very hard. He was very good at visualizing what needed to be done (I often could not understand, but things always turned out beautifully). Bob was willing to work on a variety of things; he always planned his time so he was working and getting everything done. He is a skilled craftsman, who can do carpentry and has many other skills as well. I will absolutely used him again.
