Description of Work: Some repointing of stone exterior of 70 year old limestone house. Mortar was cracked or missing in about 30-40 small places, such as 2-inch to 12-inch long repairs. Doug was very thorough in finding and filling the pieces that needed attention around the entire house exterior. The mortar finish was particularly nice in matching the raised, rectangular style of the current mortar. He warned me that the new mortar would be white and not match the putty-colored original mortar. That does look a bit odd but not terribly distracting. Another mason was going to match the exact mortar color (but that guy never showered up to do the work or return calls asking for a reschedule). So the good review of Doug Decker Masonry is based on a thorough job, getting the work done on time (ahead of schedule, actually), and courteous professional approach to the job.

+ 0 moreI have heard about them through Angies List. I thought he and his partner were just wonderful. They were on time when I called him and he said he would come and give an estimate at a certain time, he was here. I have waited all day for other ones but he was here on time. He called me when he could start the job. He started it and he finished it in record time. I didn't shop around because when I had heard the recommendation that he had from other people on Angies list and how they went out of their way to please them, I was satisfied with the recommendations and I was satisfied with the price because I don't have to do it over again like how I have done with other people. I would most certainly use them again if needed, I wouldn't call anybody else. I have told about him to other people.
Description of Work: I used Doug Decker Masonry Inc. He replaced a wall that was caving in.

Description of Work: We had broken steps on the patio. The steps off the front porch were sinking. Some white vehicle whiped out our mailbox pillar.
