Nova Flooring

We are so pleased with how everything turned out! We pulled up the carpeting in our 100 year old home and wanted to refinish the original pine floors. John came out to give an estimate, he was incredibly clear and detailed in describing the process. He clearly has a lot of experience and takes pride in his work. We received an estimate the next day and the team was able to get started a couple weeks later— they were fantastic! Everything was always neat and clean, they were extremely considerate and communicated well and often. They laid down many different stain options, did a lot of repair work, and even made custom transition strips for a rather steep height change between rooms. Everything was done on time and for exactly what we were quoted for. We would recommend Nova in a heartbeat and will definitely use them in the future.

This company is outstanding. Extremely responsive, courteous and they do an extremely good job with high quality. This is the second time we have used them and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Excellent. Another hardwood flooring company installed new floor and refinished old floor, and ruined them. Nova Flooring came out and reassured me they would correct all the problems and do a quality job. Hardworking, professional. Owner is totally involved and on-site. Highly recommend. Job was perfect. Nova Flooring is one of the highest quality contractors I worked with during the renovation of my 87 year old house. Nova was recommended by a friend who is a commercial contractor. The company owner came to my house to assess the job. The man he sent out to refinish the floors was very respectful of me, of my house and was very detailed and careful every step of the way. He took great care to seal off the fireplace and he shut all the windows to prevent dust from being blown onto the floors, and this was during the heat of July. He was meticulous and careful and the result was absolutely perfect. The floors are beautifully done. I highly recommend Nova Flooring.

Everything went well. The workers were prompt and did a good and efficient job. The price was a bit high but we were really happy with the results. We would use Nova again.

EXCELLENT!!!!! Quality AMAZING! They provided us opinions on how to approach the repairs to make sure the cost would not sky rocket. When they assessed the house for the estimate they explained their process very well. We were confident that we made a good choice from all of our interactions with John before work was even started. When worked started the crew of 2 came to to do the work they were very professional. They were also flexible to work around other contractors we had in the house. They also communicated how the process was going. Though the price was higher than other contractors. The quality of the work that was completed was WELL worth it.

They arrived on time and finished the job by staying on the job. All of their workers were polite aand efficient. We are now showing off the results to all our friends.

Nova did an excellent job in all respects; the quality of the results and the timeliness of completing the project are particularly noteworthy.(NOTE: we had to exit our previous home quickly and we could not move into our new home until the floors were finished.) Mr John Sacco and Ralph were especially helpful, providing sound advice re the base molding, care for the floor and going out of their way to obtain replacement air vents for us. And they reduced the total cost because it took less time than they expected.

These guys are absolutely amazing. When John came to measure and write up the estimate, he informed me up front that the hideousness on my stairs was lead paint, so I knew exactly what I was getting into. We talked about making sure the cats were safe and contained during the time the work was being done since they would be in the basement and a catsitter would be visiting. The estimate John supplied me with included a number of options so I knew exactly what I was paying for and could make the decision that worked for my budget. I scheduled the work around some time that I would be out of town. The day the guys arrived, they moved a couple pieces of heavy furniture out onto the porch for me and got to ripping up the carpet. Before I was even ready to leave for my trip they had removed it all and I could already see the huge potential the floors held. When I came back three days later, I was absolutely amazed at the beauty of my unfinished floors. The stairs took an extra couple days simply because they were in such rough shape, not that you would know it by looking at the finished product. There were a couple unfortunate spots under the floor - an uneven spot, a few boards that someone had replaced on their own, and the aforementioned cat-related damage. The team evened out the spot as much as they could without damaging the integrity of the floor. The urine stains wouldn't come out of the boards, so we decided to replace them, at a totally reasonable cost. From the room it's impossible to tell which are the new boards. As an added bonus, the basement also smells much better without the stained boards! Several stains were placed on the floor for me to choose from - more than the two I'd originally chosen to see, which allowed me to get an idea of what different stains would look like. I'm totally thrilled with my choice and the way my house looks now that the work is done. Three days after the floors were done, the guys came back to move my furniture back in for me. I've got a couple more rooms to work on and I will definitely call Nova again when I'm ready to have those floors taken care of!

Joe Rulli and his team lifted up carpet and refinished the floors underneath when we first bought our house. They covered five bedrooms, two staircases, and two hallways. They spent over a week. They were courteous, professional, and top-quality. Nasty surprises kept coming up - floorboards that had looked good but needed to be replaced, spots where there were no boards at all. Joe and John were committed to coming in at or under their estimate, which they did, and we ended up with gorgeous honey-colored floors. Four years later, we had some small problems with loose floorboards. Cosmetic only, but since we were selling the house, the new owners requested we repair them. The quote they gave us was completely reasonable - I had expected to have to pay more. The craftsmen who did the work were again courteous, and did excellent work. After two hourlong visits, everything was fixed, and the new floorboards blended right in with the old ones. Once I move, I I will be hiring Nova again to refinish the floors in my new home.

They were referred to us by another company. I was a little nervous about hiring them because they did not have any reviews. They did a really good job. They were really prompt with getting the estimates and stuff done. They worked quickly. They did a good job of all. They did some other work even though I didn't ask them to. They managed to dig up pieces and did little patch ups. Basically I'm having some of the baseboards painted and some of it is not. That will be basically finished later. I called up telling them that I needed the job done and they actually came back out and installed it. They really went above and beyond their call of duty of all. It's definitely a positive experience there. The quality of their work was really good. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

They were pretty good. They had some good ideas. Due to budgetary restraints we had to delay the process. Their service was fine.

These guys restored my faith in humanity! Their first priority is always making the client happy, and they bend over backwards to do that. Joe was a professional and, though held back by working alongside other contractors doing electrical and painting, he and his crew did everything they could to help us make our home beautiful. They arrive at 7:30am every morning and don't leave until about 4pm each day, taking limited breaks and working hard every minute. They even took out some built in furniture from the previous owners and took it to the dump for us, along with all the carpet. The finished product was of a high, high quality, durable, and beautiful. We can't recommend these guys enough! Also, Brian headed up the job for Joe, and it is clear that the professionalism of Nova Flooring runs throughout the company. Very respectful and impressive.

This openly honest and extremely knowledgeable approach made a very challenging project succeed. The scheduling and coordination that you provided between the various crafts and subcontractors mitigated a multitude of problems. The care and craftsmanship that you and your employees displayed was a pleasure to experience in today's market. Proof of this is in the beautiful finished project that you completed for us. In addition to the wonderful interior renovations, we were extremely impressed with the construction of the exterior dining deck. More impressive than the craftsmanship was the persistence exemplified while dealing with the City of Pittsburgh planning, zoning, engineering and building permit departments. The flexibleness and creativity brought to this project by Vista allowed us to retain the showcase deck that we had envisioned while complying with all City building codes. Not a day goes by that we don t receive a raving compliment about the deck.

THEY WERE PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL OF MY PROPERTY. THEY REALLY TOOK THE TIME TO EDUCATE ME ON WHAT I WAS HAVING DONE.

Micky Stelatano, one of the owners, was always on the job from start to finish. He explained everything he was doing from showing me the plumb of the new wall to how the cement will be put in around the doors. Every question was answered with a complete explanation. Vista Contractors are wonderful, honest, fair and reliable beside being nice people.

I had to find a reliable, honest, and professional contractor to redo parts of a rehab job that were done very poorly. The owners, Joe Rulli and Micky Stellatano, have integrity, years of experience and run an above board and ethical business. They will give you their honest opinion on bidding the job and give you their best throughout the work. They followed the structural engineers recommendations and would keep me informed as to what they were doing throughout the week.

We were extremely pleased with the quality of the workmanship. The job took twice as long to complete as the contractor originally estimated (a month instead of 2 weeks), but they did an excellent job.
