John's Reliable Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

I was very pleased with them. When I called I got a person and not a machine, which was one of the things they advertised in their ad. They also said they would send somebody the next day, which is what they did. He was able to clear the drain and explained why he couldn't do some things because our drain is very old. If he put a snake down it would have destroyed the drain so he was able to do it manually by plunging it. He couldn't do everything he wanted to but everything is working beautifully now.

This was an almost emergency. The dishwasher line had become disconnected and the area under the sink flooded. I called John's reliable and a real person answered! I was promised that the repair person would be here in 2 hours since he was on another call. Eric called me in about 2 hours letting me know that he was on the way. He was courteous, helpful and competent. He repaired the dishwasher hose within minutes and since he had to charge for a service call, asked if there was anything else that we needed fixed. It turns out that we did and he fixed both our drain problem and dripping faucet quickly and successfully. It was a pleasure dealing with Eric and I am happy with his work.

Couldn't ask for a more prompt response or professional, courteous attitude on any one of the visits. Also, they left no mess. Thanks Tom for the great service.

I have used Johns Reliable several times before. They have always been there when I needed them and this time was no exception. This was a bit of an emergency due to the leaking toilet. They arrived very quickly and were very neat,(drop cloths, clean shoes) ,and took the old toilet away. They are very professional and prices are competitive.

They're wonderful. I've known them for years. They're very professional. They don't skin you alive money wise, either. I think they're very reasonable. I like the fact that I asked them to come out and change a washer in a faucet for me. I think the faucet might have frozen. When he was down to look at it, he checked it out and he called me to come down and talk with him and he said, "There's two ways I can do this depending on how much you wanna spend." He explained the whole thing to me so he gave me an option as to how I wanted it done and I thought that was really good. Ron, the guy who owns the company, is a wonderful man. He makes sure that the fellows he's sending would have to continue their training with John's Reliable so they're always up with things.

I called them and they came out within 20 minutes. I was very surprised. They even gave me a handicap discount. He found a way to turn off water to toliet and then came back--next day and did the work cause all had to be replaced. Great guy and very professonal. I am going to use them to replace all the other things in both baths.

I'm not really sure. The work was performed at my mother's house. She was happy with the work done, but thought it was a little pricey for what was done.

I called the company owner and described our situation. It turned out that this gentleman had lived in our community previously so he had a good idea of how the homes were built. He listened to my description of our plumbing issues and gave me an appointment that fit with my schedule. Brian called us before arriving and was in our home for about an hours. Beside doing a thorough job of cleaning the toilet drain, he spent considerable time answering questions and giving us advice on the two other plumbing matters.

It went well except the company I was referred to did not provide good service at all. This however is not a reflection of the individual that provided the referral.

They were easy to deal with. The owner of the company answered the phone when I called. I told him to go look at the property. He gave me an estimate and I paid him with my credit card on the phone. He went and did the job and when the township inspected it, they approved everything.

I would be happy to recommend them and they are great. Their name is totally appropriate. They are reliable and they come quickly. Their prices are fair. It's never been more than a day for them to come out, often times less than that. They are very accommodating as well.

Excellent service from beginning to end.

I've used this service repeatedly over many years. For the houses on my block, I was told that the sewer laterals were not at a sufficient grade that the sewage runs smoothly into the main pipe, and pretty much everyone on the block has to have their sewer line reamed out every year or two. So my husband and I had plenty of opportunities to use this service. They did a good job. They had the right equipment, not a snake but more like a four-inch diameter reamer (I don't know it's real name). Other firms sometimes try to solve this problem using a snake, and the common result is that the drain blocks up again within a week of a few weeks. If tree roots are part of the problem you really need that 4-inch diameter reamer tool and they have it. Their services (with the right tool) cost no more than the firms making do with the wrong tool. They came when needed even it if was 7:00 pm on Christmas Eve. We encountered a number of staff members and they seemed businesslike and professional and went about their work with no issues or delay. I believe they also installed a water heater for us at one point, and that worked well for many years although it was a little pricey to buy because we had to get it immediately, as ours had failed (we couldn't wait to order a less expensive one, although that option was offered). I would definitely recommend them for drain cleaning and water heaters. I don't have experience with any other work they may do.

We called John's Reliable Plumbing to get an estimate for two jobs: 1) running a gas line from our main line to the kitchen 2) capping and removing an old gas line from under our deck We were able to schedule an appointment on a Saturday morning, and Dave showed up on time, just as planned. Dave was fantastic. He was very easy to talk to, and he explained to us the differences between water lines (pressure-dependent) and gas lines (volume-dependent). He was also able to give us an estimate within a half hour or so. The estimate came in under our expected price. Dave had other jobs to complete that morning, but he said he would call us back to let us know if he could do the work later in the afternoon. As promised, he called back and told us that he would able to come back to do the job. This saved us the hassle of taking a half-day off of work later in the week! Despite the fact that we are renovating our house, tarps were laid down in the hallway to prevent tracking mud and snow throughout the interior. Dave was on-task during his entire visit. After the job was done we got a walk-through of the work that was completed. When he was writing up the bill, we mentioned to Dave that we found John's Reliable Plumbing through Angie's List, and asked if there was a discount associated with mentioning it. To get the discount, we were supposed to print out the coupon (of course we didn't AND we didn't have a computer/printer nearby). Without making any promises, Dave said that he'd do his best to see if he could honor the discount. About 20 minutes after he left, we received a voicemail, telling us that the Angie's List discount would be credited to our bill. How awesome is that!? Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the experience we had with John's Reliable Plumbing and we would definitely use them again. If Angie's List had an A+ rating, we'd give it to them.

They came on time and installed a water heater. It was a tight fit but they got the job done in about an hour and a half. Beautiful job. A few days before Tom was called to fix our leaky toilet which only took a few minutes. He gave us some info on how to prevent this particular problem from occurring again. He looked at a plumbing project that we want done in the future too. These guys have been our plumbers for years and we will never use another company.

I had a very positive experience with them. They went above and beyond and came out last minute and made sure that the job got done. It was during the hurricane.

Had one of the two owners, John perform the service for me. Had a backup in the main sewer line between the house and the street. John was here within the hour, probably a little lucky than a regular expectation. He had augur hooked and up in five minutes and the clog cleared in 15 minutes. We talked for another ten minutes, and I don't talk much. Excelllent, personable service at a fair price. They focus on service and not selling you product. Beware of the 99.00 drain cleaning because you tend to get the "new service" upsell on the back end. Hopefully I won't need to call again for a plumbing problem, but at least I know who to call.

On Monday morning I called and they arrived within 2 hours. The Plumber inspected the issue, explained the problem and how he was going to fix it. I was very pleased with his work.
