I had a clogged toilet that required professional attention. I reached out to John's Reliable on Friday and they sent someone the very next day. He was punctual and called ahead of time confirming arrival time. After the auger did not remove the item, he then took all of the water out of the toilet and separated it from the bathroom floor. By approaching the toilet from the opposite end, he was able to remove the item causing the clog. Before he put the toilet back in place, he replaced the wax ring at its base. Having fixed the toilet, he cleaned the work area and gave helpful tips on drain maintenance. He was quite professional and knowledgeable. The price quoted before the work started remained the same upon completion. I was very pleased with the service.

They are the best - if you need a plumber this is the company to get - no price gouging, no "I'm sorry I didn't show up" - they show up when they say they will, do the work you want, and it is at a reasonable cost. Everything you want from a contractor.

Steve came out on a Tuesday and quoted my wife a price. She called me and we agreed on it and called them back. Tom came out early Wednesday morning and completed all of the work in one day. No mean feat given that he had to work around our four dogs and five cats. We had also asked then to clean out a bathroom sink drain which he found wasn't necessary (the drain stopper was the problem) and he deducted that cost from our bill. He was pleasant, professional, did a very nice job and everything was clean when he left. We will call them the next time we need plumbing work done. Frank Bell

He is excellent. For what he did, the price was . He responds immediately and his work is amicable. He is clean and polite. They are very efficient and you don't have to have them back afterwards. They explain everything they are doing and they are good workers.

The work was completed in a timely fashion, and the work areas were cleaned prior to the plumber's departure.The price quoted was the price we paid We have previously used John's Reliable in another property several years ago with similar positive results. We would hire them again.

I contacted John's Reliable in November, and Tom came out and gave us an estimate for the work. When all was said and done, despite poor weather and lots of rocks, he was able to stick to the estimate and honor it. After shopping around and getting other estimates, I choose John's Reliable and was able to schedule the work within a week (weather depending). Tom and his escavating crew arrived on time and ready to go, despite the rainy weather in December and got to work attempting to drive the water line. This would have avoided digging a trench- unfortunately we ran into some unforseen rocks and had to dig a trench. Tom's crew worked LONG and HARD to try to avoid digging a trench and as a result with a lot of effort were able to drive it under the front porch. Tom took care to move a small azalea bush before digging with the back hoe for the remaining portion of the yard. The crew was very polite and worked hard, as the day passed (in the rain), additional crew came to help out. They were able to replace the old cast iron waterline (this one crumbled when twisted after removed from the ground) with a new 3/4in copper line. This process included creating a new entrance point in the stone foundation in our basement, this work was done cleanly and the cement work neat. By about 4pm Tom asked for permission to return the following day to tidy up the work site outside and do some additional small follow-up items. Overall- the job went VERY SMOOTH and they men were polite, they left our home clean and worked hard throughout the day. We are very pleased with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend John's Reliable to others.

Water was leaking from hot water heater. Actually, water had "blown off" from the pressure relief valve overnight. Tom came next day and quickly determined that the water pressure regulator by the water meter was malfunctioning and permitting over 90 lbs pressure during the day and surging at night. Also found that the expansion tank on the hot water heater was leaking. Probably as a result of regulator allowing pressure surges at night. Tom went to the supply house, got all the parts and all was well by the afternoon. Very polite, clean and neat. Very professional and fair price. Would definitely use him again.

Our leaking water heater needed to be replaced. John's provided an estimate over the phone and was able to perform the work same day and at a price about 40% lower than a competitor's quote. The technician was extremely competent and professional, and I would recommend the firm to anyone needing a new water heater.

Jason checked out the drain, determined that it was a French drain and could not be cleared out. he spent a good amount of time thoroughly checking the drain, and making a determination as to what could be done to help my drainage issue. He was fantastic!

The plumber called ahead of time to give me a time window, and arrived on time. I have used John's Reliable for other work in the past (water heater installation in 2008, various sewer issues in early 2011), and they have always been prompt, friendly, and clearly explained what the job entailed and the estimated costs up-front. The installation went smoothly and the plumber was happy to answer my questions during the course of the work. He was also friendly with my dog, which is a nice plus. Overall, they are worth what they charge and they always do excellent work.

They do very good, clean work. I have used them multiple times for plumbing work. They were very accommodating and flexible with modifying things for our kitchen and fitting everything in.

Plumber was knowlegable, up front, sincere, and professional. He explained the problem, what should be done, what he recomends, and the price. he was not trying to sell uneeded services.

He put down a drop cloth although it was not necessary. The sump pump was installed at the proper height for my ground water level. The previous sump pump was placed too low making it turn on very frequently. The new pump does not come on as often and still does the job satisfactorily. He cleaned up when he was done with his work. Overall a good experience!

John's Reliable was exactly what they said they'd be... reliable. We made an appt with them a week in advance and they showed up on time. Two gentlemen came to give an estimate, we were satisfied with it and he immediately got to work. They were personable, extremely professional, in both demeanor and dress, and knowledgeable. Their price was moderately high, but their product is well worth it.

2nd time I used John's, Both times where for clogged drains. Unlike other big plumbing companies, John's did not try to push other services and inspection plans. John's operates like your old time single plumper. They are now my regular plumber.

They are aptly named -- they are reliable. I've used them many times. They are a small company that takes care of its customers. They schedule appointments soon after they are called, show up when they say they will, and don't try to overcharge you for everything like other large plumbing companies do. This company is a gem.

I've used John's reliable in the past and would readily do so again in the future. They are punctual, polite, and professional. When I smelled gas later that day, they even came back to check within a matter of minutes at no extra charge (it turned out a pilot light was out).

These boys have done a number of different things for me in a number of different houses. They have always responded promptly. They have scheduled and completed the work efficiently. They have charged reasonably. They have returned to resolve any issues. Their installation of my tankless water heater was such a work of art that I asked them to sign it. They clean up after themselves. They really care about the quality of their work.
