Reliable Plumbing & Drain

I recently had Reliable Plumbing out to correct botched work on several jobs that were done by another plumbing contractor last week. Their customer service was exceptional -- from the first point of contact to their office, Joan, who did not waste any time in having someone out to address the problems I was faced with, to the quality of work and professionalism of their plumbers, Mark and Ron. The botched work was properly corrected, as well as correcting new repairs that developed from the work done by the previous contractor. I feel a tremendous sense of relief following my experiences with Reliable. I have complete trust and confidence in their work and would highly recommend them.

This company honestly sucks. The only representative that's worth mentioning from a professionalism standpoint is the woman who answers their phones on the weekend - very nice and helpful. I've used Reliable in the past for annual drain snake maintenance. I originally thought the guy that came out was just having a bad day and let it go when he was rude and ornery. Their pricing is competitive, which is why i called back the next year for the same service. What a mistake. This guy was such a jerk on the phone when i first spoke to him, i tried to cancel the service. Unfortunately I was in the middle of a busy day at work and couldn't reach out for other quotes in time, and I really needed somebody to come out in the next day or so. I planned my work schedule around the scheduled maintenance time (I am able to work from home once a week) only to be called 2 hours AFTER the original planned time and told that the plumber was stuck in traffic and needed to come tomorrow instead. Keep in mind "tomorrow" was a Saturday. I agreed because again, i really needed someone to come out, and i rearranged my schedule. After again waiting 2 hours passed the scheduled time and calling the office to make sure he was indeed coming out, the plumber called me again to reschedule on Sunday because he was "having a bad day." Yep, that was the reason. We were planning to have family over on Sunday but at this point, i couldn't wait any longer and had already wasted the rest of my weekend waiting for this guy to show up. The plumber finally came out to do the maintenance on Sunday. He actually wasn't AS rude to me in person this time as last (or on the phone when I first called) but he still holds the gold for most rude repair man I've ever paid. I will 100% be planning ahead of time next year to secure a new company that can come out and do the annual maintenance. Don't use this company if you are short on free/weekend time and don't have flexibility. I was lucky enough that my company allows me to work from home when these things come up, but it was still a painful experience.

Received price quote for exact scope of work and any contingencies work over phone prior to work. Received a new quote from tech when they came to my home even though there was no change in the scope of work. Received a third change in price when they had to access main drain stack even though I questioned this prior to receiving initial quote. Found this company to be extremely dishonest therefore would never recommend Reliable Plumbing. They are anything but reliable and I could think of a few choice words to really describe them!

The work was done well and on-time considering that there was a unexpected valve break which was the fault of previous faulty work by another plumber. They responded to the unexpected valve leak quickly and the replaced the faulty valves at no extra charge. My only complaint was that the lead plumber, on the team of 2, yelled and reprimanded his partner several times which was uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Fine. Done in one day. Bill ended up being cheaper than original quote because they found some useable cast iron pipe that extended 10 feet from the foundation of the house to the lawn, so they did not need to replace this. The rest of the pipe was terra cotta, and this was replaced.

They did a good job. Explained the problem to me. They gave me a really good price compared to other plumbers I called. I will call them again if needed in the future.

I paid reliable plumbing a $1500 down payment to start the work. Reliable plumbing started working on my Bath room they removed the toilet and vanity and the wet bed floor. When they finish putting in new pipes they put the bathroom floor back together with new tiles on the floor. They replaced The toilet in the vanity. When I opened the vanity it was like holes in my wall which I complained about and I was told that that was the only way that they could put the pipes in to connect to the vanity. I complained and told them that the hole in the wall would leave openings for mice in bugs. He wrote on the contract that he will return and repair the wall, which he did but it was a very unprofessional and messy looking job. They also had recalked the tiles in the shower, sealed the corners. They recalked and sealed the area around the tub. I was told not to use my shower for three days so the caulking and seal would dry, then everything would be alright. After the wait time was over, my family and I used the shower and it stared to leak and the leak was worst then it was before I got the work done and it damaged another wall in my living room that was not damage before. I call the company and complained. The guy came out and recaulked the tiles and the tub again, but that still did not work. The last time he returned he told me that, "I might have to cover the shower tiles with a non leak cover like they do at bath fitter, but don't use them because the are too expensive. I will talk to my boss and see will he cover that and get back with you ok." He never called back and when I calledI was told there was nothing they could do. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. I believe that I was ripped off.

I called Reliable Plumbing and Drain Cleaning to come repair a leak in my hall bathroom. I had my carpenter there doing other work and he found the leak. I spoke to Joan @ Reliable, told her it was an emergency and asked if she could get someone there ASAP as my carpenter was ready to leave. But he said if the plumber gets there quick enough he would patch any drywall for me when the plumber was done. Joan called back, said she could have someone there in an hour. Corey from Reliable called as he was en route to my house letting me know he'd be there. Showed up a little sooner than an hour. Surveyed the problem, called me back with what he would have to do to fix the problem. He got my OK, fixed it and left. My carpenter then called me and told me, that Corey was very knowledgeable and knew his stuff. Everything was left cleaned up and neat as well. I would highly recommend Reliable Drain Cleaning and Plumbing. Everything was A-plus from Joan to Corey to the price! Especially for an emergency call!!

Great! Pump itself was installed 4 years ago, but Reliable was willing to come back to install the check valve. They have done many other jobs for me -- from A/C working, to plumbing, to servicing the furnace, etc. -- and they truly live up to their name. If you call them on an "off" time -- weekend, late-night, even a holiday -- you will reach a live person at their answering service. Your call really will be returned within 24 hours. And they will arrange to come to you ASAP. They are all about customer service and loyalty. You might start out using them in a pinch because they are available 24/7, but you will probably continue to use their service forever.

They were good. They were okay. Communication was difficult with them. They did the job and they did it well. It was kind of an emergency situation and it took them two months to get to my house which was kind of a bummer. Their price was good. The quality of the service was great and they did a wonderful job. There was an issue after they fixed it. It started backing up again. I called them and they came out. They snaked the drain out. They tried to charge me for it. I asked them if they could not and they didn't. They honored it. I haven't had a problem since. That has been good. They were not very responsive. They were punctual. They were professional but they weren't topnotch.

Thank you Joan, Ron and Andy. I called Joan in the morning about our clogged drains and she scheduled for a plumber to come out the same day. Ron and Andy came out and knew what was causing the problem right away. They cleared the main drain and now everything works great! They were extremely professional and went right to work. Thanks so much. We will certainly use you in the future and recommend you to all of our friends.

I did find them on Angie's List. I just called them. They came out the next day and did the work. My overall experience with them was great. They were prompt. They came out and did exactly what I had asked them. They didn't try to tell me that I needed some part or anything. They just cleaned it out and that was it. They were competent and on time. They never added anything else on what we asked them to do. As far as the requirement, they would do exactly what we say. If we needed something additional, they will contact us and let us know. The quality was great.

Called a couple of places to do the work, but their schedule did not fit mine. I called Reliable Plumbing on Tues morn. By 12:30 one of the Plumbers called and said he was on his way. I explained that I wasn't home, I was just trying to schedule the work. I asked him if he could do it on Wed around 3:30 or later. He said no problem, he would call his office. Wed came, and so did 3:30. It was now 4pm, so I called his number and asked if he was still coming by. It then became a he said/she said. He said he forwarded the request to his office to schedule the work, but when he checked with his office, the woman thought HE was scheduling it through the office. So, the work could not be done that day, but could do it Thur. I really had no choice at this time. However, I chose them because they were able to respond the quickest, so I thought. Others could've come out on Thur. for $100. Jeff showed up on time for the work. He looked at the job and told me it would be $145. I explained everything above and wasn't real happy with the estimate. He then came back and said the best he could do was $125. Still wasn't too thrilled with the 1 day delay in service, but I just wanted it done and over with. Jeff was very professional the whole time, and completed the work in a timely manner and cleaned up the area well before leaving.

Tim from Reliable Plumbing and Drain came out and looked at the issue. He gave us a fair price that was substantially less then other bids we had received. When I say substantially I mean 60%-70% less then other bids we had received. We lived inthe house for 5 weeks when we discovered the sewer line needed to be replaced. The crew came out in under 2 weeks of when Tim gave us an estimate and we agreed to use Reliable. Tim was very professional and explained everything to us. I appreciated his upfront attitude of what they do and the level of detail. The crew showed up prompt and worked all day to get the job done so we would have access to water etc..... they even worked through lunch to make sure it got done. As they were working I was curious of how the line ran and how deep etc.... the crew explained things in detail. They went above and beyond as we had bushes we wanted to get rid of.... they removed them for us at no charge! What more can you ask for. Reliable Plumbing and Drain was recommended from a good source and I am happy we went with them. We will definitely be using them in the future.

it went great. He confirmed the appointment 20 minutes ahead of time. Arrived on time. Determined that it was just the kitchen sink backing up into the basement drain. Cleared it so it runs better than before. Even closed the gate to the yard without being asked to when he left. Very professional and personable. Would definitely use them again.

I woke up to a leaking hot water heater and it was installed within a few hours of contacting them. The guy who installed it was very nice and professional.

They threatened to shut off my main water supply because I refused to pay for him to have to visit my home. First of all their company doesn't charge to pay a visit. No work was done by him! And the fact that you barge into my house and yell and be rude to my mother is extremely unprofessional and rude. I have been a long time customer and I should have learned my lesson from their last visit where they were unable to fix a toilet clog. But nonetheless, since today I will refuse to get my work done from their company.

I have used them so many times. I use them for heating. They are the ones who clean my heater every year. They are like their name says which is reliable. They have been down here a lot and they gave me a senior citizen discount. They did a big job where they dug up the sewage pipes. My pipes are underground so they had to dig up the floor as well as the basement and put a pipe in there. Then they put a pipe above the ground too. They then brought a big fork like thing and dug up the ground in the front yard and replaced pipes there out to the side wall. My interaction with the workers was very good. They will be there in a day if we call in the morning and say we have a problem, they send somebody out to solve it. I stick with them because a lot of times they give me discounts.

Did come in a timely manner. I'll give them that. However they did not mention that weekend rates are on overtime basis so $75 for weekdays and $125 for weekend. They just assumed that I would know the difference. I did not! Came to fix the toilet. Used the toilet auger to see if the line is clear. Didn't feel anything and based his judgment that our internal toilet tank flush is the issue. (the flapper i guess?). But its not. Because I've held the flapper for the whole time and we still have the flush issue. So needless to say, my $125 went down the drain! Which sucks because if I knew that thats all he was going to do then I could have saved alot of money but figured a professional plumber would fix this issue. This is actually my third time using them. First time I had a heater installed that has worked well and a drain cleaning. The drain cleaning went relatively well but they didnt find anything in the drain. So I am not sure how good they are at actual plumbing anymore. Very disappointed in them. Was hoping to always call them when I had a plumbing issue.

They did a wonderful job for a great price

I called during the evening of January 28th and told the woman on the phone that I needed my main drain cleaned because I had some leakage in my basement and I would like to use the coupon from my local paper which was a drain cleaning for $75.00 Mon - Fri, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. She told me they would be at my house late afternoon the next day. I received a phone call from them at 3:00 PM and he was there at 3:30. They came in and checked the problem, snaked the drain from the street. checked to see it was working. It all took about a half hour. I paid them and gave him the coupon. Everything seems to be working properly. Everyone was polite, punctual and efficient. I am very happy with the service and will use them again if needed.

Tim, one of the plumbers, originally came to my home to repair a frozen pipe on 1/07/14. He was in my home about 1/2 hour and used a blow torch to defrost the pipe but this didn't work. He told me to set up a space heater near the pipe to thaw it out. He left and charged me NOTHING. (I have never had a plumber come to the home and charge nothing at all) The pipe thawed out but I was still having problems with my toilet. So I called the next week and he arrived the same day. He fixed the toilet within fifteen minutes and only charged my the basic service charge of $75.00. I will use this plumber for every future plumbing problem in my house. GREAT JOB!!!

They did everything correctly. They did a quick job and I haven't had any problem since.
