THE WORST COMPANY I have ever delt with. The repair lasted for 17 days and then they refused to come out and fix the problem on a system they had installed that would have still been under warranty if I was the original owner. I told them I wasn't going to pay so the charged an old credit card on file. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!

The MC Plum technician was on time and did the job thoroughly and professionally. There was snow on the ground the day of our service--our tech put protective booties on his shoes to protect the flooring! It is quite evident that customer service and satisfaction are important to the folks at the company. MC Plum installed our HVAC system nearly 10 years ago, and has taken care of it ever since. We haven't had to call often, because the system they installed has worked very well, but when we've needed service the staff and the work have been top-notch. We heartily recommend MC Plum.

M.C. Plum send the same technician to our house every time, for annual maintenance on both our air-conditioning units and our heating units. Therefore, Eric knows our systems very well. He is always on time and very professional.

Because of the inadequate experience of the individual performing the annual maintenance and 2nd visit to try to correct the problem, From Dec to Spring, pieces of black soot kept coming out of the chimney flue and onto the deck - this caused continuous cleaning so it wasn't tracked into the house. The next fuel fill required a full tank because of incomplete combustion and excess fuel usage. MC Plum did refund the service call charge; however, the overall cost in fuel and inconvenience outweighed the refund, not to mention the life safety issues surrounding the fumes.

Contacted the company in December because my jet pump began to fail. The tech came at the appointed time 1:15 pm, and removed the old pump and installed the new one (They insisted that they bring another along since they believed my pump was no longer repairable) The tech couldn't get this new pump to prime, so he contacted his shop and was told that he needed to utilize the shallow well adapter included with the pump to make it run correctly. It wasn't in the box. The tech informed me that he needed to go in town to get a replacement. He left at 3:17pm and returned at 4:30 pm. He installed the new pump and was gone by 5:15 pm. Sensing a possibility of erroneous billing coming, I had the foresight to write down when he had arrived, left, and returned, and finally finished. I received the bill a week later and was shocked to see a $418.75 bill for labor alone! I called the company and asked what their labor rates were, and was told that they were $79.00 for the first hour and $59.00 each hour there after. The person also informed me that I was charged for 15 minutes of transportation time getting to my house initially! After calculating the time he actually spent at my home, I concluded that using their labor rates, my labor bill should have been $182.25. I complained that I was charged for time that the tech was in getting the new pump and that since it wasn't my fault, I should not have been charged for that time. That was when she informed me that since the job went into overtime, I was charged for that too! After asking to speak to the elusive owner of the company and waiting to speak with him two days, I was contacted by one of his office personnel that he had left a message with them to contact me and that he had agreed to subtract $29.50 from the bill. WOW!!!! I stated that that wasn't good enough and I wanted to speak to the owner today to get this matter resolved. He called hours later and I told him how unfair his labor rares were and that I felt like I was getting the shaft and that he needed to reduce the labor rate and why. Eventually, he relented, and subtracted $108.50 from my bill (which I assume was one hour at the overtime rate) but I stated we were still at a figure $128.00 more than I felt I should have been charged. He was unapologetic and stated that was the best he could do. I replied that I would pay the bill that day but that would be the last time his company would work on anything in my home and that I was going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and the local Chamber of Commerce. In addition, I made a personal commitment to tell as many people I can about the way I was over billed and make sure they don't do business with this company. Lastly, I decided to report my experience on Angie's list in hopes I could warn other prospective customers about this company's despicable billing habits once the service gets up and running in my area.
