Played phone tag for three or so days. Provider called when customer was at work and was unable to answer phone. Provider came to home and found the timer was bad. Customer left message to provider to replace timer as soon as Possible. Work was done in reasonable time.

John was not only professional but honest in everything he provided. He attempted to clean the pump before he replaced it to help with cost and thankfully tested the dryer thermostat prior to leaving(the circuit was stuck and sending a consent stream of heat through the dryer-potentially a fire hazard)The parts we needed were ordered and replaced in a weeks time. Thank you John

Service took way too long to complete - extended over several weeks. Company was unresponsive at times.
Description of Work: We had several appliances needing attention. Technician arrived later than scheduled for initial consultation visit. On initial consult I felt confident technician identified source of each problem and had a plan to resolve each problem. After waiting several weeks for delivery of the replacement parts; a cancelled appt with no follow up from company to reschedule; only 1 appliance was fixed.

I called to get info on a dishwasher that needed to be fixed. I knew what the problem was and just didnt have the knowledge of how to fix it. The person I talked to treated me like a complete idiot on the phone. I was trying to give this person my business and all he wanted to do was act like it wasnt an important enough job for him to come 15 miles to fix. Im looking for someone that WANTS my business, so I think I will stay away from Hoover's in the future. I'm so sorry my dishwasher problem wasnt a priority for them. Looks like I will just find someone with more ratings or someone closer that Im not imposing on to come do work for me.

He was especially friendly, efficient, and professional. He was very careful in my house and even took his shoes off. He diagnosed our oven, ordered the part, and came back exactly when he said he was going to. The estimate was right on. I've been recommending him to my neighbors. I am very happy with his service!

My huge Kenmore french door refrigerator was behaving oddly last night, but this morning it was unmistakably ailing. Of course it is the hottest day so far this year, and I had just filled the fridge and its freezer with groceries. Sears was glad to make a service appointment for me, they could be here in a little over a week, but that was absurd. I have used them before, Sears sub-contractors do good work, which is only fair since they cost a LOT, but I was not going to wait a week! I called every local repair shop, left messages or got busy signals, and in the end, reluctantly made an appt for tomorrow with one firm I had heard about but never used before. After waiting all day to hear from someone who could come today, I was about to give up and try to make some sort of dinner from the pantry alone (peanut butter and crackers?) when the man from Hoover's called to find out the problem. He did some research on parts compatibility, called me back, and came right to the house. 'Nuff said.
Description of Work: The refrigerator was working oddly, the freezer wasn't exactly defrosting, but everything was covered on a coating of ice crystals, and the refrigerator section was not cold enough -- I have a thermometer in there. But it wasn't actually warm, either. The man from Hoover's diagnosed the problem over the phone, had a motor in stock he could adapt to repair the evaporator fan, and he and his assistant arrived here in under an hour from the time he first listened to my frantic voice mail message. Eternal gratitude! They had the freezer compartment apart in many pieces and put back together in nothing flat. He finished after 5:30 PM, extending his already long work day because (I assume) my phone message had been that pitiful. Recommended, for courtesy, cleanliness, preparedness, professionalism, skill, and because you have to love a service technician who can hear that certain tone in your voice when you simply cannot cope with losing 25 cu ft of groceries!
