IT went absolutely great. Terrific. Not a single complaint. We found the company to be very willing to work with us to make this project more affordable, and they were flexible about coming up with options. We wanted the price to be around 40,000 and they worked with us to do that. They were great to work with. They had massive scaffolding that allowed them to work very quickly and safely and they were careful about how they deployed them around flower beds, etc. This old house had a million leaks and they made the house perfectly watertight at every seam. They replaced flashing, repaired roof cladding, mounted roof vents, fixed all four kinds of roof and put in a stunning copper bay roof. I would have liked to see more options for snow guards but the very expensive copper does look great. The crew were a delight. David was a real craftsman and the entire crew were the most energetic and tireless workers I have ever seen, and among the most thoughtful of the impact on home owners. They were meticulous yet quick, a rare combination, and very dependable. The entire project took about a month and the roof is stunning. If I could have made one change it would be to ask them to make the slate a tiny bit less perfectly regular so they looked more like real old slates. They are now ranged with a mathematical precision that makes their dead ringer real slate tile look too modern for an old roof. Still, a high end problem, being too perfect. It would also have been really nice if the company could replace gutters as well. since they have the scaffolding and the access that no one else has. I would think they would have a great addition to their business if they did. But hardly a complaint. I will say that their office staff is a wee bit less friendly than the professionals and work crews, so don't be put off; they will take great care of you once you engage them. All in all the single best experience we have had with a company since we bought this huge old house over twenty years ago. I would use them again in a heartbeat. If they did more than roofs I would hire them to do more things. I wish every company were like them.
