DiFelice Stamped Concrete & Masonry

In good faith we hired DeFelice concrete to do our walkway and back patio. Upon completion we noted that the back patio was not level and when it rains the water consistently pools in that area and the area is now discolored. When DeFelice came back to pick up the final payment we pointed it out to him and he said he can fix it and would come back soon to do so. In good faith we gave him the final payment. Despite many phone calls to him he never returned to fix the problem. We trusted him which was our mistake. Since then many cracks have occurred in the back patio. In doing our walkway he cut one side of it unevenly and it was a mess. In addition the walkway developed a deep crack in the entire width of the walkway. There are also other cracks in the walkway and in many areas the concrete is disintegrating. We called DeFelice and he said he would be out within a week and that was months ago. He did not show up or answer our phone calls or text messages. Errors can be made by contractors but the contractor with skill, honesty and integrity will acknowledge their mistakes and correct them. DeFelice, in our experience, lacks considerable skill as a concrete contractor and has little integrity and honesty in standing behind his work. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE MADE WHEN We HIRED DEFELICE. Thank you

DeFelice came to pick up the final payment and when pointed out said he would come back and fix it. We have been waiting for over 4 years, he never showed up or returned our calls. There are also cracks in the back patio. Our walk way has developed a deep crack in the entire width of the walk way. In June, 2021, We called DeFelice and he said he would be out to look at the walk way at the end of the week or the following week. It has been a month and he has not shown up or responded to our texts. Errors can be made but the mark of a contractor with integrity will at least show up when he said he would and address the customers concerns.

The contractor was a no-show for two appointments, then sent his worker after I reluctantly agreed to give them a third chance. His worker (very nice guy) measured, talked through what I wanted done, called John to go over some details, then promised to email an estimate. I have not heard from them since. My last call to them was to ask if he intended to send an estimate. This was over two months ago and he has not responded. Read other reviews on this contractor - there are a few with similar experiences. One positive thing, to be completely fair: I have personally seen his work (he did work at my nephew's house) and it's beautiful....if you want to take a chance that he'll actually show up and not waste your time, go ahead and call him.

We had John add onto a stamped concrete patio in our backyard. He carefully matched the color of the existing patio and it looks beautiful. He also went to extra mile and put down topsoil and grass seed on the areas of the lawn that were torn form the construction. We will definitely use John again.

He is the worst businessman I have ever met. I don't know how he stays in business.

It was fine. It was difficult oftentimes to get a response.

They replaced a wood deck with a stamped concrete patio for us. Within 3 months, the entire edge of the patio started to slope. Within 6 months, the top layer of the concrete started to flake off. In addition, they destroyed our yard. We called them numerous times to ask them to come back and fix it. They never replied. I reported them to the BBB and they still never replied. They do not stand behind their work - don't use them.

John and his team were able to schedule our patio install within a week, despite a very busy time of year for him. They cleared the area, blocked the space, and cleared out a tree the first day. On day two, they poured the concrete and leveled everything. A week afterward, they came back to treat the patio and a few days later, came back and cleaned it. Very efficient and high quality work!
