Description of Work: We purchased a Hot Spring spa with landscaping from Clearwater on March 23, 2015. The landscaping included site preparation, a concrete slab, and privacy fencing. Initially, we were hesitant about the purchase, but an available incentive offer (bluetooth stereo) finally did the trick. Their pricing proved competitive for similar quality spa. The spa was installed on May 6. We had a minor problem with the fencing and added some additional fencing. The project was completed the beginning of June. (Clearwater did a great job in resolving our initial problem.) We use the spa four or five days per week; love it. Clearwater does subsequent water analysis free and walks you through routine water maintenance. Lead times were longer then we wanted, but overall a good experience with a professional company. We are very satisfied with both their product and service.

+ -1 moreTHE MEN WHO SHOWED UP DID A GREAT JOB AND I NEEDED AN ADDITIONAL FOLLOW UP PERSON TO FIX SOMETHING ON MY PUMP WHO WAS ALSO GREAT. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE PHONE RUN AROUND FOR SCHEDULING. APPARENTLY I CALLED THE WRONG OFFICE THE FIRST TIME AND IT TOOK A WHILE TO HAVE MY CALL RETURNED.

+ -1 moreThere was some delay in getting workers in. We needed the work done by the Memorial Day weekend, when the tub was arriving, and they made it just in time. There was some delay in getting this set up - but this is a rural area, and that seems to be the case with almost every service provider we have worked with in moving in here. The work was excellent - the patio is beautiful. One end adjoins existing concrete which has a slight tilt, and they matched that tilt, so there is no sudden bump - also the rain from the gutter flows nicely over that area without getting the rest of the patio wet. At first I was upset because of the damage to the yard - they brought in heavy equipment on a rainy day, and there was some significant damage. However, they came by and fixed this issue free of charge, and would even have reseeded, but we have zoysia grass, and we decided to do the plugging ourselves. They did an incredibly good job of fixing the yard, too. I would hire them as landscapers in a minute. All in all this work was quite satisfactory.
Description of Work: Company poured concrete patio to put our hot tub and picnic set on. This was a large patio, 12 by 20, and needed to be reinforced in order to support the hot tub.

+ -1 moreI had been a customer for 19 years with Clearwater Pool Co. and could not believe that they tried to pull such a cheap scam. I plan to go to the PA Attorney General;s Office to report this because I believe that they might be flim-flaming other Senior citizens.
Description of Work: Invoiced me for many padded hours when no one was at the job site for an in-ground pool liner replacement. I was to pay $60.00 an hour for the replacement. My wife and I are retired and were home at all times. Clearwater went to a magistrate for review when we would not pay the invoice within 30 days and he judged that the hours were padded. (See below for summary)I believe that the distortions were intentional to cause me a monetary loss and therefor fit the definition of fraud. ______________________________________________________________________ Plaintiff: Clearwater Swimming Pool Co. Centre Hall, PA Defendant: Bill Briggs Centre Hall, PA 'The defendant was charged for labor hours when the two workmen had left the job site.' (1) (1) Court Docket #CV-09-08 District Court 49-3-04 (PA-Centre County) Comment by Defendant: Since this court decision accounted for over 30% of the labor charge at $60.00 an hour, the scam by Clearwater Swimming Pool Co. was material and my potential monetary loss was significant.
