Description of Work: I purchased "The Deal" $99 for Landscape/Hardscape Design. James (owner) called about a week after I purchased and we set up a day and time for him to come out and check out my property. He arrived promptly, was friendly and professional. I told him what kind of look I wanted, we discussed specific shrubs, trees, placements... I told him about plants and shrubs I didn't care for such as ornamental grasses, phlox, yews, and boxwoods. This was going to be a pretty big job, we were going to reuse/transplant some of my exisiting shrubs and plants and also add some new trees, shrubs, paver edging.... He was at my house for about two hours. I received a call from James asking if he could come again and take more pictures of my property, he had photographed the property before. I said yes. He came and took pictures, I called him a few days later to let him know there would be few minor changes. He told me that he had hired another landscaper to help with the job and that this person would be getting in touch with me. James never game me a drawing or anything in writing of what we discussed or even an estimate. I assumed that the landscaper whom he hired would give that information to me. In the meantime I called a local landscape designer who was recommended to me. We met, discussed what my thoughts and ideas were, he gave me his ideas, some were the similar as James for the front yard, for the driveway and back yard he had very different ideas and also suggested landscape lighting. He sent me a drawing and an estimate. I received an e-mail from Tim Troxler, whom James had hired. He sent me a list of plants he would use in my landscape design. Although he indicated on the list where he would put the plants( front yard, driveway...) He did not indicate the exact placement, He did not give me a price estimate, and included in his list were ornamental grasses and phlox, two plants I specifically told James I did not like. He indicated that he would like to meet and go over the property with me. So basically I was back to square one. James did not share his information with Tim. Tim was more like a hired subcontractor....Not what I signed up for or for had time for. I am going with the local guy. BrI purchased "The Deal" $99 for Landscape/Hardscape Design. The experience was disappointing.
