Lisa Costa (the owner) was very prompt and courteous, the project went smoothly and we were pleased with the result. This was a small project but I think I would use them for a bigger project too

The owner showed up on time and did a thorough review of the home. After typing in all the dimensions into his computer on my kitchen counter, he said he needed to work up the quote and would get back to me within a few days but could give me a ballpark price immediately. When asked why a few days if he had all the details already entered, he stated he was busy (again, all the details were entered into his estimating program already . . . ). The ballpark price was $8500 - I literally laughed at this as the job was literally just rolling paint on the walls with no detail work needed, no furniture to move, no hassles. I told him the online estimator on his website gave a far, far lower price - he proceeded to "discredit" the online estimator in every which way. When I received the formal quote via email the next day (not a few days as he had initially said) the price was higher than the ballpark, but he included a 10% discount to make it a little lower than the ballpark - which seemed a bit belittling to my intelligence. The formal quote included no measurements, no materials, no breakdown - but pages of "why my company is so great" and other "nonsense". It did not include paint grade options as he stated it would and literally included photographs of several minor wall repairs (minor meaning 30 second spackle repairs) as well as a written statement explaining these repairs added to the price. The quote included many other photographs - but I NEVER authorized him to take photos and he never told me he was doing this! When asked, he did apologize and did state he forgot to tell me that he was taking photos - but really, how does one forget to tell someone this? I quick shout "I'm taking some photos" while he was snapping picture would have sufficed. I pushed back on the high cost and did get prompt replies, but none of the explanations held water in my opinion. The wall repairs - which the company website say are included in the pricing - added only $400 to the cost per the owner; this in no way justifies the roughly $6000 labor charge. I arrived at $6000 labor charge by subtracting $400 from the total estimate and then $60x50 gallons of paint. But $60 per gallon of paint is absurd, and 50 gallons of paint is also a huge overestimation as it does not account for walls having any doors or windows! I could go on and on with the little back and forth I had with the owner and the baloney explanations he gave me, but long story short - if you want to get taken for a ride and be subjected to a bait and switch, then this company may be the way to go. I imagine their work is fine, but how hard is it to roll some paint on a wall anyway! I can't help but thinking if my neighborhood did not look like "big money" that I would have received a more fair price with less baloney involved.

Did a good job overall. Fair price. Very easy to work with. Responsive. Had some scheduling issues. They had multiple jobs going on and appeared to be some comflicts. Work took longer as a result. Work quality was good.

From the beginning, Mr. Strobel was pleasant, polite, and easily reachable. He provided a thorough quote at his first visit and provided us with a color wheel to choose our paint colors. The painters did a great job with the painting, as well as with the fixture removal. They were prompt and efficient, although they took one more day than anticipated since the removal of the towel racks and such took longer than previously thought. All rooms are painted beautifully. They used high quality paint which dried quickly and there do not appear to be any cosmetic issues. We did have two issues, however. First, paint from the dining room walls spattered on the hallway walls so we had to get the hallway paint from the basement so they could fix it. Thank goodness the previous owners of the house left their extra paint! We also feel that, although the quality of the work was excellent, the price is a little steep considering other quotes we received from other companies. They also charged about $100 extra per room for second coats of paint, which many of the rooms required. Despite these things, we would hire them again for professional painting needs in our home.
