Hey Toolbag, you don't give an f to someone who never responded to you. I am booked for months and very rarely respond to these angies list emails. If you had called me you would have had better luck. I get 20 to 30 job leads per day and take pride in my work. I think the ratings for work actually done speak for themselves. Idiots like this doucebag make the entire Angie's list experience look bad because it rates good contractors poorly because they are too busty to take on new work. You sir are an asshole and I am glad I didn't get back to you

Description of Work: I called to set an estimate for some repair work to a plaster ceiling. He informed me that he doesn't do plaster, just drywall, though he does come up as a provider if you search for plaster repair. He said he was in the middle of a job and asked me to text my contact info to him and he'd call back to discuss if there was anything he could do. He never called back.

See this is why I am better off not responding at all. I tell the guy I don't plaster, but can do repairs, etc or maybe skin it with drywall. Never heard back from him after that. Certainly never set up any kind of appointment to look at it. Again, can't get to them all and I will let my reviews for work actuall done speak rather than someone who is mad because I didn't do the job. I get 15-20 calls, texts and emails a day for new work. Those customers that follow up and are understanding that a free estimate doesn't always mean I can snap my fingers and be there. I try to do appointments in a loop because I work 7 days a week. With this person it never went beyond a phone call. I give him an "F"....lol

The job was estimated at 2 1/2 days but my boyfriend and I spent another 40 hours completing the job! I hired Brian based on glowing Internet reports but I had a poor experience with his work. Prior to the start date, I asked if there were any preparations, with which I could assist but was told no need for this. Yikes! He did not remove the multiple switch plates over which he proceeded to spackle and sand. We removed the damaged plates, sanded down the mounded up spackle and purchased new plates, which were special ordered so as to match. Much spackle had been left on the garage door tracks, garage floor, garage doors, concrete borders and even the driveway. He showed us how we could remove the spackle off the garage door with our fingernails and shrugged at what was left elsewhere. We removed this with a great amount of elbow grease. The garage floor was thickly covered with spackle dust because no tarps nor vacuum on the sander had been used. On his return for this complaint, he came with dirty mop and buckets in hand. It took 12 additional moppings, hosings, and squeegings to thoroughly clean off all the dust. We discovered one of the drywall panels was broken, which was subsequently repaired. The panels were not put up evenly, further accentuated by an uneven spackling at the bottom edge, which required a return visit. All the work was done by Brian on his own.

This job was a few years ago and I will just say you can't please them all. It was a small garage and other than the seam that cracked which I came back for free to fix everything was good when I left. They paid me and said nothing for over two years. Anyone that knows me, knows I make good on my work and go above and beyond. If it were inside the home I would use drops, etc. It was a concrete garage floor which I mopped. Why would I bring a dirty mop?...lol I also hosed it off and squeeged the garage for you. My apologies if you had to go over it again, but all you had to do was call. If you had 80 hours of spackling after I fixed the job then spackled and wet sanded then I don't know what to say. I am very picky and the actual drywall work looked great for as bad as it was. Like I said...can't please them all. You should have called me and I would have gladly mopped again. When I came back to hit the cracked wall seam everything was cleaned and looked great. Drywall does make a mess, but good thing is that is does come up. There were no complaints or issues and I am not a mind reader. I charged a very fair price for the work and this is the first I am even hearing about issues. My apologies for the dissatisfaction. It happens I guess.

He did an excellent job. He was on time, and the price was more the reasonable. He was very courtesy and listened to our comments. He remedied any issues on the spot. Any damages that occurred, he fixed right away. He cleaned up very well. The price he gave me was the price I paid. I would highly recommend him and use him again.

No question-the best spackle guy there is!! I told him flat out-he does not charge enough money for the quality work he does! Years ago I was in construction and have a good knowledge of whats out there. I no longer have time to get to the work myself and was concerned that I wouldn't ever be satisfied by letting someone else do the work. I was wrong! There is not one single blemish, scratch, or mess up from floor to ceiling in the entire huge room! He also did some custom trim work that came out great. Would not call anyone else! Also-very professional-I had no worries about him being at my home when I was not there. I can't say this about most construction guys....

Brian is a very professional and skilled contractor. He strives for perfection in every aspect of the job...takes no shortcuts. I was especially impressed with how he sequenced his finishing work to achieve a great result. Clean-up after the job met my expectations.
Description of Work: Applied and finished ( paint ready) approximately 65 four by twelve sheets of dry wall in a newly constructed garage/studio. The work included a stairwell, closets, cathedral and flat ceilings, and walls. He procured the materials and over the course of about 5 days finished the job. I paid him for the materials when they were all on site and the balance upon completion of the work. He offered to come back and do any touch up required ( popped nails or cracks) after the primer was applied. There were no issues with his work and hence no call back was required.

We had a previous contractor in our home and after multiple years of living in an unfinished home we decided to call someone else in to finish up. Upon calling Brian he arrived that day and gave us a quote and looked over what we had. He was very through and understood our needs, including the need to fix one room quickly as we were having carpet installed the next week. I can not say enough good things about how hard Brian works and how he is able to look at the problems you have and fix them so they blend seamlessly into your home. We had taken out a wall separating two rooms and there was a difference in level in the ceiling. At one end the diffrence was with in a quarter inch, the other side was over an inch. Brian looked at this and worked up a cost effect solution that looks like it is an original install. Brain was on time. The one time he was late he called to let us know and stayed late to make up for the time. He was a pleasure to work with. We would HIGHLY recommend Brain to anyone looking for a contractor. We will be using him again for other work in our home.
Description of Work: Framed out two wall chases to cover radiator piping. Removed and shimmed ceiling. Installed new drywall and spackle to correct differing levels in ceiling. Crack and hole patches. Drywall for new wall installed and spackled. Corrected errors in previous work done by others. Fixed water damage.

Brian had to make several trip to my house to first do the estimate, then to do the original drywall job, then spackling, then the closet shelf and doors, then the ceiling tiles. He did a wonderful job and I am so happy with all that he did and if I ever need drywall done in the future this is the guy I am definitely going to call! He is very thoughtful and kind which is an added bonus when you have someone working in your house! :) He asked a fair price in my opinion and did above and beyond what was expected! :)
Description of Work: I had had flooding in my basement and so had my wall ripped out to have a sump pump and intensive waterproofing done. Brian came in to replace my wall and closets. He came to give me an estimate and stuck pretty well within range of the estimate. He was professional and flexible with hours. A super hard worker and used his expertise to help me get a wall back in my finished basement. I am so happy with the job he did. He ended up helping out with one of my light fixtures which was not something I expected but a kindness that I appreciated! :)

The wallologist repaired my damaged kitchen walls and closet walls. He also re-sheet rocked over my existing kitchen walls. He was on time and both honest on his estimste and work. He spent nine hours on Sat. and four hours on Sun. completing the work.
Description of Work: Th wallologist built out my wall studs on my damaged wall and re-sheet rocked over the existing drywall. He showed up on time, did an excellent and outstanding job and completed some additional repair work by repairing some cracks on my hallway closet closet. I would definetly recommed this gentleman to other people. He is extremely honest and trustworthy on both his estimates and work.
The Wallologist did a wonderful job. The owner did most of it and when he needed help he brought one other man who was fantastic as well. He showed up the day after we contacted him, he was amazing.

Brian and two workers applied drywall to two bedroom ceilings and one side wall. Additionally, Brian had an electrician come to put in proper electrical boxes into the ceilings. Afterward, Brian returned several times to apply additional coats of spackle, making sure that the ceilings and wall were as flat as possible. Throughout the process, Brian was extremely attentive to detail and worked with my schedule, even coming to my home over the weekend to get the job done.
Description of Work: Brian and his team installed drywall to two rooms in my home. I had plaster walls, so there were a lot of cracks and damage from previous linkage.

Thanks for the review member. I am glad I was able to knock it out for you. It was actually just my brother and I who installed the sheetrock and my friend Danny was nice enough to come over and do the electrical boxes. All the best with your new bedrooms.
Brian's work is top notch and he is very professional. He finished our basement over the summer of 2010 and did a wonderful job. He framed the basement, insulated, dry walled, Spackled, hung a drop ceiling, installed all the doors, installed a custom bookcase, etc. He allowed me to purchase the materials that I wanted and needed, then he installed them as appropriate. Workmanship is top notch, high quality. We are very pleased and have already recommended him to our neighbors for their basement finishing job as well.

The price was very fair. He was great to work with. He was very honest and friendly. He was a nice man as far as personality goes. He did a fair job. We were having him do some work in a newer home that wasn't done properly. It wasn't done perfectly but he could have been here forever trying to do it perfectly. The work was fair to pretty good. The original drywall job that was done was hideous and we were going to be painting so we wanted him to come in and try to fix some of the pops and smooth a lot of surfaces. He came right out and did what we needed done. He was very professional. We would hire him again.

Unlike other contractors you might call and they say we will come for an estimate then never show up or never call back, that's not Brian. In fact, he came the same day I called him to come see the job I needed done. He shows up first thing in the morning and accomplishes a lot during the day. He doesn't mess around.
Description of Work: I had Brian come over and take out 2 walls in my basement, some crown molding and fix everything up so it could be ready to be painted. He did an excellent job!!!! he charges $200.00 per day which is beyond more than fair. Some days he was there over 10 hours...so hourly thats is not much per hour for a contractor. If you ever have the priviledge of having Brian doing your basement ask him if a built in-wall bookcase would work in your place. He did and excellent job with the one he did in my house. He also took a closet which was being used to store empty boxes and reframed and put up shelves. There is nothing he can't do. I would highly recommend using Brain again.

We made a 5:00 pm appointment to meet at the job site and he did not show up. He called 1 1/2 hours later (after I had left), and left a message saying he got busy. He said that if I wanted him to still come, he would. I didn't respond to the voicemail as I was no longer interested in his services.

Ok I work everyday. Sometimes 12-13 hours. I had a job run a little late and called to tell him I was running behind. Sometimes it cannot be avoided. He may have gotten the message 1 1/2 hours later, but I called at 5pm to tell him I was running behind. He never called me back and I never heard from him again. This is why you should always get a cell phone number for a customer. For this guy to come on and give me an F and I never even met him is ridiculous. Probablly a good thing I didn't do any work for him though.

He did an excellent work. The work was very well done. He recently won the prize. He did the work in 2 days and he charged $200 per day. I would recommend that he does a very good work and he was extremely reasonable. He works really fast. There were certain things in the house, which we didn't even notice; but he happened to figure it out. It was bad weather, which was stopping him from coming here for couple of days because he was coming from Allentown. We had heavy rain and snow and it had to take lot of his scaffolding out of his truck on the house. He worked a full day. He looked little sloppy; but he was good. I have recommended him to couple of people.
Description of Work: The Wallologist closed seams on the wallboard, cleaned up on the summer stock; he did a wallboard in the basement and seamed it which was during the fall. He concealed all the ceiling in the house and seamed the walls.

His work is top notch and his caring shows in the quality of his work. He was willing to offer suggestions when I needed them and was able to interpret my requests and make them reality. What I liked most about his approach is that he allows you to get the materials necessary and he will do the work. He gives you a list that is right-on, easy to follow, and precise. This allows you to save money as there are no mark-ups on materials - you are only paying for labor. We are very happy with the work and the quality.
Description of Work: Brian finished out basement from framing to sheetrock. He did everything except the electrical but offered us a reference to a contractor he was comfortable with
