Brian is a hard worker! He wasted no time while on the job and the final product was amazing. The cost was exactly as quoted and very reasonable. We will definitely use Brian again.

They did the job on time and did it well, however he left his tools and equipment in my apartment for over one month. That's not too professional.

The skylight repair was in a very high stairwell. I left my ladder and plank there. (Removed Member Name) was nice enough to put in the the basement for me and I called to come get it before hand. On another note, thanks for the review (Removed Member Name) it reminded me to send you an invoice for the job. Brian

Everything went pretty much as planned. Tom, Tony and Brian did what was needed - and finished closed to the time promised. I was thankful they all cooperated with me, and for a job that was far from routine it went surprisngly well. If another project requires the work of professionals I would not hesitate to call Brian back. Knowing how busy they can be made the upfront process much easier. I think we all exercised great patience and understanding during the 3 week job. It looks pretty darn good!

The Wallologist, Brian, and his Drywall Specialist, Joe, did an outstanding job. They were both extremely professional, hard working, and made sure I was involved during the process. I have worked with many contractors in the past and these two men were some of the best. I would definitely recommend for Drywall repair.

After doing some research, we decided to contact the Wallologist about repairing two large cracks in our ceiling....caused by stress. When we called to have someone stop to give an estimate, Brian said he would stop when he was in the area...which he did about a week later. It didn't take long from him to inspect and suggest what should be done. The cracks were too large to fill-in, so Brian recommended cutting out the damaged area of drywall and replacing it with a new piece. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and best of all gave us confidence the job would be done right. He said the job would take 3 visits: the first to cut-out the damaged area and put up a new piece of drywall, the second to spackle and feather the area so it blends in and looks like one piece and the third to sand and apply the finish coat. We gave a few days which would work for us and Brian scheduled the work accordingly. The work was done as promised and with no problems. You can't even tell where the cracks were. We are very pleased with everything and highly recommend the Wallologist. If we ever need anything done in the future, we plan on using them again.

I learned of Brian's work through a word of mouth recommendation from a co-worker that he had performed work for. I felt as though I had a pretty challenging task at hand that other contractors were not willing to take on. Brian was more than willing to accept the challenge. I had several walls to be removed that the previous occupants had constructed that shortened the interior of my garage and closed off accessibility within the house. I also wanted to have a home bar installed in one of my three kitchens and have a closet added to an existing bathroom. Brian and his crew were extremely professional. He was always punctual and would contact me if he was going to be late. He assisted in coordinating and electrician, tile, and countertop installers. I could not be more pleased with the work that was performed. The results were far better than I could have imagined. We were able to match existing tile, hardwood floor, and countertops during the project. One of the things that stood out to me the most was how much of a perfectionist Brian is. He would spend extra time to ensure every step was completed properly. He did not hesitate to work long days to complete the job. I have more work for Brian to accomplish for me in my garage and I will definitely hire him in the future.

Brian, the owner, came out and gave me and estimate. He didn't require a deposit and I scheduled the work. I have an old row house built in 1933 with plaster walls and ceilings. They came out and installed a drywall ceiling over a heavily cracked plaster ceiling in the master bedroom. They did all the spackling and sanding. They also repaired several cracks and imperfections in the walls and ceilings in 4 other rooms including spare bedrooms, living room, and ceiling. I had requested additional work which raised the overall costs during the repairs. I was very happy with the completed work and also happy with the total cost. I will use the Wallologist again and recommend him. He is a busy guy, not many people hang drywall anymore, especially ceilings.

That turned out very well. I think he did a good a good job, maybe I don't have a good appreciation upfront of what it's gonna cost me. He had given me an approximate figure but ultimately the job was done well. He could be more upfront but I guess he really did not know what this will take. When he said he was coming, he was pretty punctual.

Response from The Wallologist
Yeah the spackling repairs were pretty straightforward and we even fixed a bad 16 foot beam in the garage at no extra cost. (removed and installed new corner bead, etc) The tilework was way more work than we originally figured and ended up being about 45 scattered tiles that needed to be removed and then reset and grouted. The original tile job was installed directly on the wood sub floor with a lot of flex going on causing the tiles and grout to actually crack and pop loose. Some had no thinset under them. Originally the customer said he had a box of 10 tiles and I was to replace the 10 worst and that there were some that were loose. The box had 18 tiles and as you removed the loose and cracked tiles others around them also came loose. I reset those as well. So I had no way of originally estimating the tilework just went by the 10 tiles and a few loose ones. Instead I had a day of tile work with another guy helping me cut the grout and pull tiles then I had him hang all the sheetrock to finish the day. I had another guy do all the spackling throughout the home in one day (tape, coat and finish coat) and then come back the second day to touch-it all up. I had 2 days between the tilework and then grouting in and cleanup, etc. Even though the extra tilework couldn't have been know upfront I met him in the middle. I charged him 1 day each for the 3 of us. Meaning myself and my spackler gave two free days. I still had to pay my spackler for that 2nd day which actually means I lost that as well. I also re caulked a shower for free which was not originally discussed. Again the tilework was done incorrectly causing a water leak in the ceiling below. I cut out tons of old silicon and it took 2 new tubes to fill the voids. Had I billed for actual man days or by the hour the price would have been triple my estimate. I tried to be fair even though the tile job was way more than discussed. Next time I will just have my tile guy do it... My knees will thank me. I thought $600 was more than fair.

Brian, did an awesome job. He replaced my ceiling drywall with Green Board for better mold prevention in case of any future leaks. Job took two days to do. They were there at 8 in the morning and worked a full 8 hour day. By the end of the second day my ceiling looked like brand new. I'm going to continue my relationship with brian for future jobs.

Brian removed the wet floor in the bathroom and had to reinforce the floor before he put down the new wood. He had to run out to Home Depot to get some supplies to finish the floor and he put down the linoleum I had left over when I had the house built to match the flooring that was left on the bathroom floor. He had to come back another day to do the ceiling in the basement and the wall in the back of my T.V.. He did a wonderful job on both areas. What I liked most was that he went around my house with his wet spackling bucket and proceeded to patch up any areas on the drywall that was cracked, peeling or unleveled. Yes my husband has quite a bit of painting to do over the areas, but I will have a lot more smoother walls thanks to the WALLOLOGIST!!!
Description of Work: I had a bathroom leak from a cracked wax seal and the ceiling in the basement was wet. I also had a wall in the basement in back of my T.V. that was not smooth and very hilly (work done from a prior contractor not on angies list).

Well at least I did a good job. I had an inspection and got there as quick as I could. Anyone that deals with inspectors knows that they are like the cable company. Between 8 and noon was 12:30. I did call though and did a good job. It is a fair review I guess. High marks for quality and low ones for being too busy. What else is new?

Called and requested an estimate for a plastering/drywall job in my attic. He was polite and businesslike when he came to inspect on Tuesday. Said he could do the job for $400 which was fine with me. He showed up a few hours late to view the spackling job we wanted him to do and said it would only take a few days. He said he would email us the price but when I hadn't heard from him after a week went by I called him. I told him we definately wanted him to do the job and to email us with the price. He said he was very busy but would email us that night. It has been a month and I still haven't received that email nor a phone call. I will be looking for someone else to do the job.

I gave this customer a price when I looked at it. I do not punch a clock and I came out right after work the same evening he called me. Guess it wasn't fast enough for him. I told him I needed to wrap a few things up (which I was under contract for) and that it would only be 2 days work to fix the bad drywall job someone else did. His wife then called me a week later asking me to email a quote. I didn't even talk to her the first trip and already gave a quote when I was there. I was just waiting to free up a day to get in and do it. Oh well, as hard as I try I can't get to them all. The good thing is that I get good reviews for work I actually do. I wish I could get to them all, but it is tough sometimes. For those of you contacting me...I do get really busy. I try to get to everyone and sometimes a friendly email or call goes a long way on both ends. Your job is very important to me but some of us contractors have several jobs going and they are all important. I try to keep everyone happy but it doesn't always work out. Now if I can just clone myself.

Brian is great and a really nice guy to work with. He gave us the most competitive estimate and kept to it exactly. Really hardworking and busy guy, but always managed to fit time in his schedule to complete our job. The work he did was perfect -- our walls were pretty busted up after we had an electrician rewire our house, but after Brian was done you couldn't tell. He also did a great job matching and replacing the baseboard that had to be removed for new outlets. He kept his work areas clean, and was awesome about communicating when he would come by to do work. He also found a ton of areas that needed repair (dents/holes in walls, rough plaster) and went ahead and fixed those as well -- really just an impressive attention to detail. Will definitely be using in the future.

Brian did a spectacular job repairing imperfections in my home's drywall at a very reasonable price. I called him in to repair half a dozen spots and he ended up staying the whole day and repairing several dozen areas that he found - the guy has eagle's eyes when it comes to drywall. One word of advice: he admittedly is a workaholic and takes on a lot of jobs. If you send him an email or leave a voicemail, do not be put off if you don't receive an instantaneous response! If you're patient with his busy schedule, you'll be rewarded with first class work! Your walls will thank you!

Hey thanks for that response. It is refreshing to get a post like yours. On the customers end "their" job is the only thing that matters. On the contractors end "all" jobs matter. The key is to treat each one like it the most important job and you have nothing else going on. That is not always easy. I am happy that when I actually get to do the work I get great reviews. Unfortunately I can't clone myself and I am too picky just to hire a bunch of guys just for volumes sake. Best of luck in your home and if you ever need anything let me know.
