They worked hard and had both trees down, stumps cleared and debris cleaned in one day. Out of three estimates that I had gotten Falling Timber was the most reasonable.

Excellent! Jim and his crew know what they’re doing. When they arrived, Jim and his sidekick “Tessa” (great dog) had me go around the property to address what we were going to do with each tree. This was a considerable project consisting of 10 trees total, so to review each tree with Jim before starting was great. They completed the job in three days, cleaned up nicely and were very cordial. Neighbors impressed with the Fallng Timber group led by owner Jim.

Jim replied promptly to my request for an estimate, worked with my schedule, came in with a great bid and performed the work as required when he said he would do it. He also serviced to of my neighbors at the same time with work they needed. I would highly recommend this business and will use them again.

The entire job took two days, but everything was cleaned up and looked fantastic. I will call Falling Timber Tree Service again the next time we need tree work done.

Jim worked with me on the timing of the job, completed all work as promised and was a pleasure to deal with. He had agreed to grind the stump of the removed tree and also did some extended roots which made a really nice job. They were thorough in the clean-up and left everything in a first class condition. I would definitely use Falling Timbers again.

Wed afternoon about 30 minutes prior to our appointment time he called and provided that he was on other side of town and needed to reschedule. I thought that was fine, he ran into an issue and we rescheduled for Friday as next meeting time. I stayed home all a Friday night, waited, then texted James a little while after our appointment time and never heard a word. This guy did not call, text or show up yet we had our 2nd scheduled time set. Don,t waste your time as there are plenty of other good people available who will respond.

One word: Amazing! The cutting and removal of the two trees took several hours. The people at Falling Timber were great. Not only did they work quickly, but the clean-up was so good, you couldn't tell anything was done! I will definitely hire them again for more tree work.

They did a great job! Jim, the owner, was very professional and responsive. He was also very personable and make me and my mom very comfortable with the work he was going to do. He called before he arrived to start the job. Jim and his crew worked hard and got the job done. They cleaned up the yard and the street before leaving. Very satisfied with the work done and would hire them again.

Jim and his crew were excellent. Jim communicated with us and called back when we had a few questions before the job was done. Our tree was next to a fence and a garden and Jim cut the tree down without any damage to the fence or our property. All debris was cleaned up and taken away. We would use Falling Timber again and highly recommend this company.

Couldn't have been better especially considering how hot it was the day the tree was taken down. This company had been used and recommended by neighbors before I discovered it on Angie's List.

I initially called and spoke to Jim and explained what was needed about 2 - 3 weeks ago. He said he would be out in the next 1 or 2 days to provide me with a quote. I waited a little more than 1 week but didn't receive a quote or a call. I called Jim back and he apologized that he had lost my number but said he would definitely be out in the next 1 - 2 days with a quote. It's been 5 days since I spoke to him and still haven't received a quote or call. He's a nice guy but just can't wait any longer as we now have more yard work that needs to be done in addition to the tree and debris.

Jim came out to give me an estimate within hours of the tree falling. Luckily, it didn't hit any structures or people -- just a few neighboring small trees and shrubs. As requested, he gave me estimates for removal of only the damaged trees, and then, in view of the fact that his equipment would already be in place, a nominal additional cost to trim some limbs away from the house on a couple of other trees. Jim and his crew (which included a very nice dog) arrived about 30 minutes late on the agreed upon day but got right to work. It was a very hot day. They took appropriate work breaks and finished the whole job in about 4.5 hours. They left us some neatly stacked firewood and hauled everything else away, cleaning up admirably. Jim used appropriate gear to climb into the trees when necessary and obviously knows his stuff. He also warned me about an insect nest that we didn't know was there. He got stung several times but was unperturbed. Part of the gig, he said. I'm very satisfied with the company.

From day of the estimate to the job completed was only 3 days! Jim, the owner, arrived with 3 workers on time to do the job. The hedge had been in for about 50 years and needed to go. We are thinking about putting in a fence. They all worked hard from 9 to 1:15. There were a lot of roots, thick stalks & some shale to deal with. They also had to work around a wooden gate, & 2 sheds. I even enjoyed playing with Jim's dog that came along! Since they couldn't dispose of the wire fencing, I asked them to roll it & bring to front of our house so we can put out for the trash. I would recommend them to anyone.

We called Falling Timbers on Saturday, they came out on Sunday to give a estimate, scheduled the work for Tuesday. They arrived with 2 trucks and a full crew, 10 min early on Tuesday. First they cut down a Elm tree, that was between power lines and our antique 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. Then they cut 3 small Spruce trees. Falling Timbers did a perfect job, without touching the convertible or the power lines. Falling Timbers were prompt, professional, and qualified, plus the price was more than reasonable given the difficulty and amount of work performed. We would recommend Falling Timbers to anyone who needs tree service.

My neighbor called Falling Timbers to prune his trees. He finds great people to do these things, so I really wanted to get an estimate from James (the owner) regarding my own tree. He came over and gave me an estimate, another neighbor wanted a tree removed, so James was going to come back and do both our trees on the same day. He said he would call and confirm everything within 10 days. He didn’t, he said he thought I was supposed to call him, but whatever, it’s all good, no big deal we worked out that he would come on Wednesday. My neighbor called me and said that James was coming around 8:45 am and was going to do his tree first. James came closer to 9:30, again, whatever, it had been raining earlier in the morning. I greeted him in the street to ask a question so I could run a quick errand. To be fair, he was in the middle of getting everything ready and said we’ll talk about my tree after my neighbor’s and that he wanted to do one thing at a time. His tone was rough, but I kind of “interrupted” him, I guess, so I blew that off as well. Then It was time for my tree. I’ve never had a tree pruned before, and it's our only tree, so it was hard for me to picture, but my understanding was that he was going to cut off certain branches—shaping it into a nice “v” (except for the branch i requested him to leave) and he was also going to take out the “dead stuff.” It looked to me that he was starting to put away his equipment, so I went out to ask him about a branch. Well, I must have asked and pointed out something on the tree 3x over the course of two hours because on that 4th time, James apparently had enough of my questions. I asked him about a branch, he says “wait till I’m finished before you start pointing fingers” then he rambles a bit and says, “well, i’m basically finished, what are you pointing at?” I then show him the branch and he says," well, you are going to have dead stuff at the ends, I have women pointing all day long and i have to reel them in” I’m in shock at this point, I said “my understanding was that you were going to take out the dead stuff” and this branch really sticks out to me, and James replied something about expectations or something, that he would be there all day etc.... I said that what he said was sexist and walked away. I was very upset at this point, when he came to my door for his payment he couldn’t understand why I was upset. I reminded him what he said, he tried to defend himself, and said that I came out and pointed at something on the tree 4x. Yes, you read that right, I am paying this man 400 for less than 2 hours work and apparently 4 questions is past his threshold. I was really offended and told him he should never tell a woman that he needs to “reel them in” and that I ( as a paying customer) should be allowed to ask questions. When I mentioned Angie’s list, this seemed to get to him. He said he was sorry, he has an impeccable reputation on Angie’s list and started to hand my check back and said, “if you’re not happy, just pay me $300 instead of $400, but I think I did a great job.” Well, you know what James, you actually DID do a nice job, and I agreed to $400, so I kept my agreement, but if you are a woman, just don’t ask too many questions and definitely don’t POINT, cause he may have to “reel you in”

Last year, I met with two different tree service providers at my house to have my trees looked at. When they got there, I quickly learned that they were both "arborists", and were much more interested in providing routine health check-ups to my trees than they were in cutting the limbs and branches that I wanted cut. Those arborists wanted more than triple what I ended up paying for the same work with Falling Timber. Jim (the owner of Falling Timber) quickly responded to my calls for estimates and showed up to do the work within the agreed-upon time frame. He had two guys helping him, and everyone was polite and worked efficiently. They did nice work and cleaned up the property nicely after they were done. Would be happy to use this company again in the future.

Very hot day but it did not slow them down...they have a job to do and they do it. Jim was not the lowest bid I received on this job but well worth the little extra to have true professionals you can rely on and trust. I will not hesitate to call Falling Timber the next time I need tree work.

I called Falling Timber Tree Service and left a message for Jim requesting an estimate for tree services. Jim called back the next day - I missed his call and returned it the next day. Jim promptly returned my call that evening and we set up an appointment for an estimate. Jim arrived when promised and gave me a written estimate after inspecting the trees to be removed. I got estimates from Jim and one other company for the job and decided to go with Falling Timber as his price was very reasonable and response time was good. Jim and his crew arrived on the day promised and began working immediately. They worked efficiently on removing the trees. Jim spent quite a bit of time with me making sure that he had removed all of the branches and dead areas of the other trees. The clean-up was great! They left no debris behind - raked up mounds of pine needles and disposed of them also. I would definitely use Falling Timber Tree Service again and would recommend them to others.

Everything went extremely well. They arrived on time and did a great job removing the trees. The price was good and they worked hard, cleaned up and I am very happy with the results. They were friendly and professional. James, the owner, worked with them and supervised. I am satisfied with the results and would highly recommend this tree service.

I called this company on January 30th and they never responded.
