We had a home energy audit which precipitated the need for Rovegno's services. The work crew arrived as scheduled, all work was completed in one day. Crew took precautions to avoid mess in house and cleaned up upon finishing the job. We received a recent electric bill which indicated that our energy consumption was 50% less than last year for the same month. The usage month for 2018 reflected colder temperatures than the same period in 2017. We are very pleased with results. Description of work: Brought attic insulation up to current building standards, put insulation into the second floor interior walls for sound dampening. Foam insulated the rim joist area on the perimeter of the basement, which is a finished basement.
Description of Work: Install additional insulation in attic. Weather seal lighting fixtures in attic. Weather seal doors. Weather seal basement.

Steve and Steve from Rovegno's came out and addressed several areas of my house that needed insulation work. To make a long story short, another company (which shall remain nameless) came out and insulated my upstairs in the fall, but did not address and / or missed several areas. Rovegno's, the outfit i should have hired in the first place, came out in the winter and fixed the problem areas for a fair price. Rovegno's was very helpful, easy to work with, and I'd hire them again.

Rick and his team were great. They were happy to answer my numerous questions and kept my informed on their progress as they worked. My attic had NO insulation. They air sealed and built a storage deck for me before blowing in the insulation. My attic looks great now. Ready for summer and winter!

The projects were performed promptly and efficiently. Steve Kretzing had come previously to provide an on-site estimate, which also represented the final cost of the project. He was knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and easy to communicate with. We had a bit of complication with the bathroom fan installation, but that was taken care of quickly and well. Steve also promptly provided the paperwork to facilitate our applying for (and receiving) a substantial PPL rebate for the work. We were glad we procured their services and would hire them again.

They were prompt and efficient and payment was due after they did the work. Nothing upfront. They had done an energy check a few months earlier that our energy provider reimbursed us.
Description of Work: We had an energy check and they did improvements of weatherization - air sealing with spray foam in wall top plates and stairwell cavity and joist cavities and in the attic space.

The men were entirely professional, requested I check on their work to make sure everything looked good, were flexible in a couple minor changes and we really could not have asked for more. I could not give a higher recommendation to a company. Wish there were more companies like this.
Description of Work: A completely professional company. Rick (the owner) came and gave the estimate himself, was there to work with his crew and even came the day after (a Saturday) to finish up weatherstripping two doors.

A team of 3 guys spent 2 days sealing up our home. The first day, the team included the project manager who originally estimated the project. The team worked in the attic and the basement during this first day. The following week, the team came back for a day and did the first floor soffit work. At the start of the project, the project manager and I reviewed the work that he and his team were going to perform. Then, as the work was being done, he and his team members kept us apprised of their progress. Some of the work that was quoted depended on what they would find as they got into the project. The project manager quoted the project at the maximum cost, but identified areas where he would reduce cost, depending on what they found. In the end, the cost of the project was about $500 less than what was quoted.
Description of Work: This project was phase one of a three phase project to seal, upgrade A/C system, and insulate to R-50. The phases of the project were determined during a home energy audit that was performed by another contractor. The main purpose of this first phase was to seal up the house. Attic: 1. Airseal penetrations going to the living space with sprayfoam (photo 1) 2. Install an insulated, pre-fab cover on top of the attic steps (photo 2). 3. Cover the 2’x2’ opening in the attic floor with 1" foam board, and seal the edges with spray foam. (photo 3) 4. Install fire-rated covers on top of the 5 recessed lights, and seal the edges with spray foam. (photo 4) 5. Seal the opening in the attic floor where the HVAC line set and exhaust vent are located. Seal around the exhaust venting with a fire-rated foam and backing material (photo 5) Basement: 1. Temporarily remove the perimeter drop-ceiling tiles, and install approx 2" of 2-part spray foam in the rim joist cavities of the entire basement, including the exterior walls of the garage. (photos 6 & 7) 2. Install pieces of rockwool batting in each joist bay that connects the garage to the basement living space (2 interior walls). Then install 1-2" of sprayfoam on top of the rockwool batting in order to airseal the cavities. (photo 8) First Floor Soffit: 1. Remove the soffit of the entire first floor (photo 9). 2. Insulate and airseal the first floor rim joist with 2-part spray foam. If no rim joist is present, fill the joist cavities with 1" foam board and then seal around the edges of the foam board with spray foam. 3. Reinstall the original soffit

The whole experience went very well. Steve came out and performed the estimate and gave us different options for sealing and insulating our home. Their pricing was competitive in relation to other companies we considered and we felt that Rovegno's ultimately offered the most value for the price, even if they were not the lowest bid. My wife and I also appreciated the time that Steve took to explain to us the different tax rebates/incentives that we could earn as a result of the process. After we accepted the proposal they promptly scheduled and completed the work. They showed up on time, they were courteous, and they cleaned up before they left. Since the work was completed I have noticed a significant difference in my home's efficiency. The furnace has come on less often, the house is quieter and more comfortable, and I am sure we will also see an improvement in our energy costs. I would certainly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: Installed baffles at the soffit to allow for proper venting of the attic Vented two bathroom exhaust fans through the front soffit Sealed penetrations in my interior walls with expanding foam Installed 13" of blown cellulose insulation in the attic (R43)

We were pleased with the review and estimate of the project by Steve. He crawled through the attic area surveying concerns and potential problems and took mutiple photos of problem areas. The work was performed in a timely manner by skilled personnel.
Description of Work: Performed a weatherization project in the attic area. Installed vents in the rafter cavaties to create additional airflow; installed new bath fan vent hoses to a soffit vent; air sealed accessible penetrations into the living space; and insulated the attic with additional blown cellulose.

Crew arrived when promised. They were curtious and professional, did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. There was some dust left in the garage, but I think this is to be expected. Price was the best of 3 by several $100 and they also deducted $180 off the original estimate when they found a small area of the wall that already had insulation from a previous remodeling. An honest crew.
Description of Work: Blow cellulose insulation into walls from the outside of the house. They had to remove sections of the vinyl siding, drill holes, and reinstall siding. This seamed to be a simple and straight forward job for them.

Steve is an exceptional professional. The entire experience was excellent. His estimate, knowledge and ability to articulate options were very helpful. I now have 5 inches of foam in my attic and it is sealed. The change is remarkable. I would hire Steve again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: I have a 206 year old farmhouse with a barely insulated attic that had been dry-walled. Extremely hot in summer, and going to be just as cold this winter. I called Rovegno's. Steve Kretzing came as the representative and did a complete inspection and estimate for both insulation and demolition. The estimate for 5 inches of spray foam 1&2 pound insulation for an R value of over 30 was well worth the price of $4400

Rovegno's was recommended. A detailed phone call started the process. An audit was recommended with a rebate from PPand L available. They arrived as planned, completed the audit and submitted the paper work to PPand L. All went smoothly and was done in a very professional/informative manner. Because of the audit several recoomendations were made. We agreed to have most, with the biggest area involving the attic (house built in 1977). Again, all was performed as scheduled and in a highly professional manner. Paper work was provided to pursue the IRS rebate for energy upgrades. We never had any issues and obviously were completely satisfied. Recent electric bills have supported their claims and efforts.
Description of Work: First an energy audit was performed. Recommendations from the audit lead to insulation be added to the attic and other areas

They were excellent. They were very good. We have one of those cut outs in ceiling to get into the attic. It is just wood and you push up on it, you have to get a ladder and push up on it. Well, they actually, when they insulated they put a seal around the wood part. It was an extra thing that I wouldn't have even thought of. They did a really excellent job. They came when they said they would and they were very professional. It seems like our house is a lot warmer. The guy that gave the estimate was very professional. We were very pleased.

They arrived at the time they had stated. They setup and covered our electronic equipment with plastic. They drilled holes between every stud on our exterior walls and pumped insulation into them. They tested to verify that the walls were full. As they moved from room to room the made sure to clean up the room before leaving it. They cleaned their equipment and talked to me about what was done and verified I was happy before they left.

During the audit, I accompanied the technician, Steve, who was very detailed in explaining methods and conclusions. He provided a proposal within a few days that included detailed explanation and photos. The proposal left nothing to doubt about where and what would be done. On Dec 22, a team arrived on time and the work was completed, as estimated. It was an excellent experience all around.
Description of Work: Rovegno first did an energy audit on Dec 6. This produced a proposal to reduce air leaks and increase insulation where needed. I agreed to the proposal and the work was completed on Dec 22.

First we had Steve Kretizing of Rovegno's of Carlisle conduct a PPL Energy Audit of our home in February 2011. Then based upon the energy audit (42 page report with colored pictures of energy faults and good energy areas) and discussions with Steve, we asked Rovegno's for an estimate to correct the energy faults. Mr. Kretizing provided the estimate and we scheduled a date and time. Mr. Kretizing and Rovegno's crew showed up on time and completed the work as scheduled. What a difference in our electric bill this summer but most importantly, our home felt cooler and more comfortable inside. Thanks Rovegno's!
Description of Work: We had a PPL Energy Audit performed by Mr. Steve Kretizing of Rovegno's of Carlisle. Based upon the enrgy audit, had Rovegno's insulation, spray foam and caulk attic structures air leaks to house ceiling and make whole attic energy efficient. The basement has energy loss issues and will be done at a later date. Our home was built in 2007.
