 + 0 moreFirst off, Barry responded quickly to phone calls in setting up appointments. Before he could re-run the line, we had a severe problem with the sink clogging up, so on the first visit he got us up and running until he could arrange for the repairs to the line. It was our own fault, he told us over two years ago this would need to be done, and we just put it off. His quote to us at that time and what he quoted us this time was very close, amazingly close! On both visits he was prompt, and gave me lead time needed to make arrangements to meet him at my home. Very clean, so careful to make sure that he leaves the area as clean or cleaner than when he arrived. Polite and friendly, and honest, very honest. He did the water line from the sink the way it should have been done when the home was built!
Description of Work: Reworked the drain line from our kitchen sink to the main line. The original line was too long and did not slope from the sink to the main line, and it required a sharp turn into the main line, so it sagged and would clog up. Barry replaced the line, giving it a slope and made the length of the line a shorter distance to the main drain. He also repaired pipes under the sink.

 + 0 moreI called him on a Saturday, he was on a call, but would call me back by 2pm. Barry called me back when he said he would, we set up an appointment for the following Monday morning, he called me 15 minutes before he was to arrive at my home, so I was able to leave work and get there in 15 minutes, so no waiting around all morning. He diagnosed the problem, and took care of the clog. He was especially particular about not making a mess, cleaned up properly and explained how we could avoid the problem in the future. I asked for a quote on the changes he suggested, he had that to me within a week. He was very helpful in explaining the problem with the toilet and how to take care of it. It was so good to have a plumber who knew what he was doing, and he didn't talk down to me as a woman. I would use his services again.
Description of Work: Pipes from kitchen were cleaned out, and running toilet. We had been having a problem with water backing up in the kitchen sink and dishwasher. He came and diagnosed the problem immediately, our pipes from the kitchen sink were clogged. He was able to use an auger to clear out the pipes, it took 2-3 times in order to clear out successfully, and by pouring down a powerful drain cleaner. We have lived in the home for more than 18 years, and this has never been done, so the build-up was immense. Regarding the running toilet, he showed us that the rubber sealing ring was the problem, due to the treated water. He tried to get the part, but there are no local Kohler dealers, this was confirmed by a local plumbing supply store. But Barry showed me (a woman) what part I needed to get, and how to take care of installing it myself. I found a Kohler dealer in Camp Hill, and took care of it in 5 minutes!
