I would like to give less stars or -stars if I could. First, I did not call him My neighbor did and asked about a discount if we both did our curbs. My husband did the initial conversation, and we were told 1500 for the neighbors but if we went together, it would be 1850. So naturally we were in and thought we each put in half and we have new curbs. Next time this person showed up to get my info he told me our portion was 1840 I said Oh I though the total was 1850 and we were splitting that. He then chuckled and said no they pay 1500 and yours are 1850. he handed me a book to write my info in and he left. Next week he came to do the curbs and I will say they did them fairly quick and they look good. When he came after the finished job to collect he left the bill with my husband and it was only 1740 great he cut us a small break. I called him a few days later to provide the Credit card I wanted to pay this on and he laughed at me saying he only take cash or check no Credit cards. I was in shock it was never disclosed that he only took cash or check. At this point I had already arranged and set up my Credit card for the payment, so I had to borrow from a friend as I did not have that kind of cash to pay him. I was unhappy this was NOT disclosed at time of doing business that he only took cash or check. I wanted to do my back patio area as well as my back porch and front porch concreate, I will be calling a different place to do the work a place that will take Credit.

Can't get anyone to return a call

It's not what this business has done, it's what they didn't do and that is to return my initial phone call. Obviously the owner doesn't need the business all that much. I called during the week of March 7 and today is March 22 and still no returned call. I already found someone else to do the work, therefore hopefully this owner won't waste my time and call me a month later. I am not really sure how one can be on Angie's List if the business cannot even return a phone call.

Called Baughman Construction to get an estimate on repairing a 4' X 6' concrete slab outside my garage which over time sank about 5". Called on a Thursday. Chet gave me a quote on Friday to put a cap over the existing slab and cutting a bit of blacktop away so the new slab would be level with the driveway. They arrived early the following Tuesday to do the work. Finished in no time. New slab looks great. Would definitely use them again.

I asked Chet to quote on pouring a new concrete patio, and he came out to look at my property the same day. He called back the next day with the price, which I thought was reasonable, and said he could work the job into his schedule in approximately two weeks. I hired Chet to do the work, and he did everything he said he was going to do?he was on time for every appointment. He and his crew were professional and courteous and answered any questions I had during the project. They were very careful to not damage the lawn and cleaned up every day before leaving. They dug out the patio by hand and wheel barrowed the concrete to the site during the pours. Chet even threw in some extra items for no charge, such as using fiber mesh fortified concrete and applying sealant to the freshly poured concrete. Bottom line is the patio is beautiful and was done on time and on budget. I would highly recommend Chet and his crew to anyone who wants quality work at a reasonable price. Will definitely hire again.

When I first called Chet it was before the rush of the sidewalk season and he was able to come out the same day and look at my sidewalk and listened to the special considerations we had (i.e. small sink holes from rainwater) He also called the borough zoning officer and met with him the following morning at our house to see what the appropriate requirements were for the town's sidewalks. We waited 2 weeks after deciding to go with Chet due to rain in April. Chet arrived first thing on Monday and as we only had brick that had already been removed, Chet was able to start preparing the ground and was able to have the concrete poured that same day! He did an excellent job with finishing the concrete. We could not be more pleased with his work and his working with the borough to have the inspections completed. I would and will have him back to complete more work for us.

Baughman showed up exactly when they said they would, were very professional, worked very hard in the removal process. My lawn was protected as they did the work. Removal was very clean and thorough. Placement and finish of the concrete was exceptional. No mess on my yard, house of adjoining concrete.

He comes without having to be asked.

He gave us an estimate and contact info. When we called him back he came right away. He was great, a fantastic guy!!

It went smoothly. I had no troubles with Chet and his crew working for him. they all worked hard to meet my standards.

Great and Fantastic work. Started the week with digging the area that my new patio was going to be. Once he had dug the area he double checked with me that this was what I wanted. The next day Chet poured a few ton of stones into the area and placed forms and for the outline of my patio. Once he did that he checked with me once more that this was what i wanted. On the third day I walked outside to see Chet smoothing the concrete. When I returned from work that afternoon I saw the new backyard patio that Chet had just finished.

Estimate was too high, didn't go with him.
