Description of Work: Complete carpet replacement on the house. Moved furniture and placed it back.Ray carpet salesman worked with us and supplied many samples we could take home. The carpet looks different when you take the samples home. The installers Joe and Jeremy were on time and professional the while time. I would use them again.

Description of Work: I did not contract with this vendor. They would not install the hardwood flooring in the direction I requested for the first floor and refused to give me a price for the second floor because the work was difficult to do However, my chosen vendor confirmed that the flooring could be installed as I requested, their price was less and the second floor installation was not difficult, just took some thought on the installer's part.

After checking out Angie's List...I went on SP website to look at their products and made a list of a few possibilities that would work for our bathroom and bedroom floor projects. I also filled out their online request form to have someone come to our home to give us a free estimate (that was Saturday..it's Thursday..haven't heard from them). In the meantime my husband and I decided to drive out to their showroom. When we walked in there were 3 men standing around the counter and 1 lady that was involved with customers...the men watched us walk in and none of them bothered to say Hello...they just looked at us...My husband broke the silence by looking at one of the men and said Hello and the man looked at him and said and quot;I don't work hereand quot;. Only then did one of the other men (don't know his name..he never introduced himself) asked what we were looking for. I explained that we were looking to lay new tile over our existing tile in two of our bathrooms...interlocking vinyl in our powder room and laminate in our master bedroom. He asked the other guy if tile could be laid over existing tile and the other guy said and quot;No..there's no way they good guarantee something like that..so they wouldn't do itand quot;. ...(We already had a representative from Molyneaux out to our house to give us an estimate and were told because of the way the existing tile had been installed in the bathrooms it would not be a problem installing new tile over the existing tile)... I said if that's the case then I would consider using the interlocking vinyl in all 3 bathrooms...and I gave him the name of one I saw on their website...his response and quot;Oh the dreaded website!!and quot; Then he and the other guy proceeded to try to find it on their and quot;dreadedand quot; website...my husband pulled it up on his phone and showed it to them...eventually they did find it on the website and then they proceeded to try to find it one of several notebooks..only to tell me once they found it...they didn't and quot;thinkand quot; it was interlocking vinyl. With that said he asked if I would like for him to get in samples of the product...I said yes and he filled out a form with my information and told me he would call me on Monday to let me know when he would have the sample (It's Thursday..no call). I then asked him if he would show us some vinyl interlocking and laminates they have in the showroom. He took us back to and and quot;pointedand quot; at a couple things and then excused himself to take care of some customers he had been waiting on to come in...telling us he would ask the lady working their if she would come help us...apparently he didn't ask her or she wasn't interested because she started helping another couple that had just walked in the store. Maybe she overheard the conversation we were having with the two men and decided our job wasn't worth her while. When we were leaving the man was standing at the counter with his customers..the other guy sitting behind the counter...nothing!! No thanks for coming in...I'll talk to you Monday...just nothing. I started to tell him to just throw away the sample request..but I felt I really didn't need to waste my breath..I felt that's exactly what he was going to do anyway!!! We walked out of there totally flabbergasted at the total unprofessionalism!!! Maybe if we were spending more money...we would have been worthy of good customer service?!?!? So our suggestion to anyone reading this...If you aren't planning on spending big bucks...don't waste your time with SP.

We wanted a cork floor and we wanted it done right so we went to a smaller flooring store instead of a big box store. They were excellent. I like the patience that they showed with me because it took me 2 months to pick out the cork floor that I wanted. The people at the store were very understanding. I was in and out and they let me take sample home which was very nice. We chose them because basically they are local and because they are just a flooring company. Instead of going to somebody that does everything like Home Depot or Lowe's, we wanted somebody that just did flooring because I did a lot of homework and from what I read the cork floor in the bigger stores is a lower grade. I wanted a higher grade. They were very responsive. I told them what day I wanted them out here and they made that work.
Description of Work: I last used SP Flooring just last weekend to install cork flooring in half of our house.

They were one of three flooring stores that carried Provenzza Flooring and their price was about 10% less than the others and I placed the order by phone. The flooring is gorgeous!

Excellent sales process. Our sales rep, Doug, was knowledgable and courteous. He gave us plenty of time to review samples on our own, and never gave us the hard sell. We took several samples back and forth from the showroom to our house as we tried to decide on our final choices, which was very helpful. The price quoted included materials (carpet, pad, laminate, new baseboard, new quarter round), removal of all old materials (carpet, baseboard) and installation. And they easily beat the quote we received from other flooring companies. I was nervous at first, since we had no experience with SP, but thought the price and the service to that point warranted giving them our business. Carpet installers arrived first, as each floor type uses different schedulers and installers. Old carpet and pad was removed and tied, and left at the curb. New carpet and padding were installed, and we had no issues whatsoever. We love the final results. Laminate installers arrived a couple of weeks later. There were a few issues with timing on the first day of the job, but once they got started the installers worked very quickly. Installers were friendly, listened to suggestions, and cleaned up after each day. After the 2nd installation day, we noticed a few issues. Only one was glaring (a stairwell was installed incorrectly), so I contacted SP Flooring. I also sent pictures via email and described the issues. Within 2 days, the installation team was back on site and fixed all of the issues. Though I was disappointed initially that there were issues, the way that SP Flooring worked to correct this problems was very comforting. I was very impressed with everyone from start to finish, and the end result is exactly what we wanted.
Description of Work: Installed carpet/padding in a basement; installed laminate flooring in a living room and dining room.

The sales person seemed to be knowledgeable of the carpets and was helpful to meet my needs. I didn't want to wait a month for installation and was told it could be done within two weeks since the carpet was in stock. It was a little over two weeks but when I called and told them my furniture for the room would be arriving they promptly scheduled me for the next working day. Its nice to see a company willing to work with you on a date. Installation went well and the carpet looks and feels great.

Started looking at their showroom in erly November 2012, hoping to get the flooring in 4 areas (2 entries and 2 baths) installed by Christmas. Repeated trips to the showroom and samples taken home. Showroom hours are limited and closed Sunday (understandable) and Monday (really?). Think they are open later one evening, but looking and getting samples is difficult if you work. Took them 3+ weeks to get an estimator out and finally abandoned the first estimator and sent one of the showroom people. They gave me excuses about the assigned estimator ... and quot;can't understand why he didn't call ... we won't be using him again ... etcand quot;. I'm very patient and flexible, but it doesn't mean I'm not taking notes. Their estimates are general ball-park estimates and you have to request several times to get line-by-line estimates. The estimates include general items (that might come up) but may not be used. You'll have to keep track of them so they remove all unused items when you make final payment. A little over-estimating may be better so no surprises to customer, but then I fully expect the unused items to be removed. Otherwise the customer feels cheated. Once estimated and priced, it was obvious they were not going to be able to do the job by Christmas. So I held off ordering until early January. Instead of doing all 4 areas, I decided I would do only 2 entries as a and quot;testand quot; whether I would use them again. Product must have arrived in the time frame, but of course no one called me. I had to call twice and wait for someone to get back to me. Further delays. Install day arrived! The installers (father and son) arrived within the agreed upon time frame. They looked over the job, brought in their tools and cleared an area for cutting. They removed basboards, cut, applied glue and installed the flooring, re-installed baseboards, cleaned up. The floors looked great! One entry went through a doorway and into an adjoining powder room, which is tricky, but all looks good. There were a couple nicks in the baseboards, but that is to be expected, as removal can be tricky, and I plan on repainting. The flooring is such an improvement over the old stuff. I'm looking forward to doing other areas in my home. My conclusions: They are way too slow in response to customers (D-) and imagine they lose some business with that practice. Their estimates should be line-by-line to inspire confidence and remove doubt (D). They should expand their hours and include Mondays and 2 evenings. The products are good (A) and the installers are good (A-) Since the overall experience is only a C-, I will probably not use them for other jobs. But I might use them for the product (keep in mind their limited hours) and will probbly use the installers (got their numbers) for flooring already purchased. This company needs to get their act together and provide complete customer service.

Flooring: went to their showroom and got samples; waited for them to call and come give estimate. They never called back, even after three more phone calls and two emails spanning more than 3 weeks. We liked the tile so decided to do the install with someone else. Ordered tile and paid $1,000.00 down. When it came in and we wanted to come in and get it on Sat. to pick it up so it could be installed by our contractor (since they never came to give us an estimate) on Monday, they said that no one works in the warehouse on Saturdays. They claim that we needed to call them by 4:00 so that they could set it out for us (they never told us that or left it on the message). Also they would not accommodate us for a Sunday or even a Monday pick up. We can't pick up until Tuesday. What kind of flooring company expects their customers to take off work in order to pick up their flooring? Most customers would pick up their flooring on Saturday. What very poor customer service. Do not use this company.

Things went smooth from start to finish.
Description of Work: We used the design center to choose the floors, countertops and cabinets for our new home. The experience was a highly positive one. The owner was able to show us the setup in the design room. Installation was done right. We have gotten many compliments on the counter tops and floors we chose there. The price is hard to comment on because it was priced in with the cost of our home purchase so we did not shop around. I would recommend them without reservation.
