Description of Work: tore out old wooden fence and replaced it with a chain link fence. I had to wait 8 weeks for them to do the job, but he had told me that when he gave me the estimate. They did a great job, worth the wait.

Description of Work: I felt the need to respond to a request on "service" from this provider. My fence was installed by Seward Fence Company out of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania in 1995 (this is not a typo .... the fence was actually installed in the fall of 1995). Through the years I have done the usual maintainance on the fence (staining) and the fence is still in good condition. Recently, I noticed an area on the back part of the fence that looked damaged as well as the dual gate was not opening well. I called Seward not expecting too get much cooperation as that I was not needing a lot of work and the "cost" would not be there to justify "rushing to my asistance". I talked with Gary and explained the situation and was pleasantly surprised as to his concern about coming out and taking care of the problem. In less than a week and half his men showed up, replaced the bad piece of wood and realigned the fence up so that the gate would open properly. So, to answer the question. Yes, I was very, very pleased with what they did in 1995 and in their response to fixing the current problem after all these years.

 + -1 moreGary Seward was very prompt, polite and punctual. The problem I have was that they came and measured the one section of fence where we wanted privacy slats and told us we would need five bags of slats to do the job. (I was going to be the one installing the slats, so all I needed them to do was measure & order them for me.) Well as it turns out it took only four bags to do the job. When I got the final bill I called them and told them that I only needed four bags, and not five and wanted to return the unused bag and get a credit on my bill for the one bag. I thought this was reasonable since THEY were the ones who measured and told me how many bags I would need. Well, the woman who I dealt with on this billing issue was very rude and surprisingly shocked that I would want to return the unused bag and get a credit. She got somewhat nasty with me about the credit I wanted and ultimately hung up the phone on me. Fence looks good though, just watch what you get billed for!
Description of Work: Installed new chain link fence around our pool, and purchased for us the privacy slats needed for one section of the fence.

He gave me an estimate in under 15 minutes & spent several extra minutes discussing fencing options with me. Although the price is far more than we had hoped to pay, I was very pleased with the company & will call again if it is within our budget.

 + -1 moreSEWARD FENCE CO. WAS ABLE TO PUT THE FENCING DESIGN I HAD ON PAPER IN THE BACKYARD. THEY GAVE ME SEVERAL SUGGESTIONS THAT HELPED MAKE THE JOB VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID THE JOB WHEN SCHEDULED AND WORKED WELL WITH THE OTHER SUBCONTRACTORS.
Description of Work: ALUMINUM FENCED BACK YARD AROUND POOL AND YARD WITH TWO DOOR OPENINGS. PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, THEY TORE DOWN AND REMOVED THE OLD FENCE.
