they showed up on thursday morning as expected. all shingles and gutters were removed on the same day. they were back the next morning and the roof was finished by noon -- took a day and a half. the team was very professional and answered all my questions. everything was cleaned up. It was a very good experience and I would recommend them Invoiced as estimated. no surprises. they weren't the highest or lowest quote I received

Really great results, cleaned up everything...including nails. Gutter guard broke and came back promptly and replaced it, no charge.

Knox Contruction inspected the house and roof. We had one vender tell us that we needed to replace all the decking boards on the roof because of mold. Knox recommended we use Bactronix to eradicate the mold from not only the decking but the rafters and everything. Instead of spending $2700 on new decking we only needed to spend $800 on mold eradication on the decking and on the rafters, etc. Tests have proved the mold in gone from the attic. Knox recommended updates to our attic to create more and better airflow so mold would not reappear. Once the contract was signed all work was performed as expected. Knox even went beyond the contact when it was discovered the insulation we had would not allow the expected air flow so they had to install baffles to allow for additional air flow. The baffles were installed at not additional cost to us. Most other supplies would try to add adjustments to increase the cost of the job for the increased cost to them. I was grateful that the contracted amount was exactly what I paid even though additional work and supplies were needed to accomplish the job. After the job was complete I asked Bactronix to again test our attic to make sure the mold was eradicated, it was and the testers mentioned how impressed they were with the work the roofers had done to increase airflow in the attic. All things completed by Knox Construction: 1) recommendation to use Bactronix (I would suggest that it be done before roofing work, which is what we did.) 2) complete roof replacement down to the decking 3) vented one bath room to the roof instead of the attic as done be the previous owners 3) replaced attic fan with new fan that is temperature and humitiy sensitive 4) put aluminum on eaves, rakes, etc. 5) replace cutters and downspouts All work was completed in 2 days. I would highly recommend Knox Construction to anyone.

He was very detailed with his estimate and really good at explaining everything. The price was very good compared to other estimates, he wasn't the cheapest nor was he the most expensive. His work was great and he is an honest business man. For example while making my gutters on the job, a small piece of metal scratch the front of the gutter the entire length, so small I would have never seen it, but yet he had his crew cut and form a new gutter. That is a great business man and honest person! I would use him again and have recommended him to other people already.

The sales process was fully explanatory. They showed me pictures and samples. What I like is that a lot of times you get something that you forget about, but he called often as a salesman should do to try to close the deal, and he did it in a kind and informative manner; I appreciated that because it kept me on task. They did a great job on the roof; it looks beautiful and clean. The gutters are gorgeous and functional. I like everything about the quality of the work as far as the roof and gutters were concerned. There were things that I did not like. The price was higher than old quotes I got, but they gave a life-time guarantee on the roof which kind of compensated for some of that; not that I would be here for life. We had what he called a misunderstanding, but I do not believe that it was a misunderstanding. When they put our skylights in, he told me that they were going to cut the old ones out and put the new ones in. He told me that I would just paint the frames on the interior to match what I currently had, but that is not true. I have to get the whole thing changed; I am going to get the windows actually re-framed inside. I have not done it yet because they are not leaking. They are perfect in the way they put them in, but I have to get the interior redone because of the way they were cut out. I was not here during the installation; my husband was. I can only say what the final product looks like. There were no changes in our yard. Our yard was perfectly clean when I got home which was only a week after they were here. Obviously, they cleaned up well and took everything with them because I noticed that there were no changes. It was the same as if they had never been done when I arrived home which was great. I was happy about that. His crew was excellent at the job they do. There was a big delay in the time period, and I had to blame it on the weather. We had very odd weather last year. He called me periodically to let me know even before the job was scheduled to commence that there was going to be a delay in being able to complete the job because of the weather last year, and he kept me informed which was good. So, instead of having it done in the fall of 2011, our job started in the spring of 2012. He could be a little assertive, and it is a salesman’s nature. When you want to close a sale, you got to stay on it. He stayed on top, but he can be a little abrasive; you have to take it as it comes because the final product is good. He was just trying to close a sale. I do not begrudge anybody who works their business. I would definitely seek out other bids. He was really expensive, and I was not completely satisfied with the skylights simply because I believe I was not told about the full nature of the construction. The post construction that I would have to do. However, their work was excellent.

Chaz and his crew did an excellent job from estimate to final cleanup. The job site was cleaned up every day, landscaping was protected with tarping and a crane delivered the dumpster so no damage to the driveway. My husband (an engineer) inspected the job daily and never found a thing to even question. Have had many compliments and would reccomend this professional crew to any one looking for home improvements. My only complaint is that they don't perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC and landscaping so I could utilize them for all home needs and never have to call anyone else...one stop shopping. Having a company that is certified by the manufacturer is very reassuring and the warranty makes it worry free for our lifetime. Many thanks for a job well done.

Knox's Construction saved us from being cancelled from our homeowners insurance. We had a cedar shake roof that started to deteriorate badly over the past 1-2 years and when our roof was inspected by our insurance company we were threatened of being cancelled unless a new roof was installed immediately. I called other roofing contractors, many who never returned my call; but Chaz Knox not only called back but he promised to help me, a total stranger living several miles away, in my time of need. Chaz promised to start the day after Christmas but we got several inches of snow on that day. The next start date was set for the day after New Years, January 2. Chaz and crew showed up that morning and every morning before it was even light and worked until dark Wednesday through Saturday until the old cedar shakes were removed and the roof was weather tight. The crew took Sunday off but started putting on the new shingles on Monday, January 7. The job was completed just before dark on Thursday, January 10. I had the Designer shingles,Camelot II-Antique Slate, installed on my roof. They replaced all of my gutters, down spouts, leaf guard put on gutters, a new cupola, and had the facia covered with aluminum. All of this was done, from start to finish, in 8 working days. Chaz Knox and his crew were all very personable and worked tirelessly to complete this task in very cold weather.They also kept the debris picked up daily. I think they did an excellent job with everything and I have recommended Knox's Construction to several people already. I have had many positive comments on my new roof. My experience with them was very good. I think they put a good quality roof and did a nice job. They were pleasant to deal with, and their price was excellent.

We needed a new roof in the middle of the winter. Knox's Construction was the only company that could help us when we needed the help. One of their people was out to give us an estimate the same day that we initially called them. They were able to fit us into their schedule within 10 days. They were on time the day of the job, and did great work. no issues with the clean up. Chaz was very professional and did a great job communicating with us. I would definitely use Knox's Construction again.

They were very prompt every morning. The workers were very professional at all times. They stayed on the job until the work was completed.

I spent $20100 on that work. I thought that the crew did pretty good work but did not do a very good job of the cleanup. The owner was pretty difficult to deal with. He was very one-sided. I would suggest other member to get everything in writing because he won’t honor a verbal agreement. The roof was very well done.
