Everything went very well. They contacted me quickly after emailing them from Angie's List to schedule an appointment. I was going to replace the heat pump system. The salesman said if my furnace was in good condition I just needed to get an air condition unit. Which I did and it saved me a lot of money. I really appreciated his input on my situation. The installer came within a week. He was very professional and courteous. I enjoyed the new air conditioner for over a year before I sold my house. I'm sure the new owners are enjoying it as much as I did.

Service technicians were very thorough and communicative. The first service call was late in the day and the technician needed to bring the part the next day. Scheduling was met and the part fixed the problem. The cost seemed a little high, but I did not make any comparisons.

Scott arrived on time and did the service check. He explained everything he was doing, asked if we wanted our filter replaced and he even cleaned out the outside unit because it had debris in it! Great job!

This company had a special for an annual HVAC maintenence tune up for $119.00. I thought this was a good price as I had seen other companies charged this much for one or the other but not both. When the day of the service arrived, they showed up on time and were very professional. They changed the filter in my furnance, cleaned and tuned up both my furnance and my air conditioner compressor. They were friendly and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. They even gave me helpful tips and advice. I was very pleased with their service and will be calling them again when spring comes for my next tune up.

I woke up on the morning of May 22nd to a very warm house and grunpy house guests from out of town. It appeared that my AC quit at some point in the night and the house, especially the upstairs where the guests were staying, was nearing 80 degrees. Controlled Climate Systems saved me once before when my water tank failed, so I called them again and asked if they could come out to the house and check out the AC unit. My biggest fear was that a new unit would be needed and the installation would be days away. The house guests quite possibly would leave the house for greener and cooler pastures in the form of a hotel down the street. So thankfully Bob showed up at 2pm that afternoon (the same day!!!!) and put the AC unit through some tests. Thankfully the problem was with the air conditioner's capacitor and he had one in his truck that would fit! Thank you to Bob (and Amy, you are a life saver!!) and Controlled Climate Systems. You saved the day again.

Controlled Climate Systems installed a Rinnai tankless water heater in our home and we could not be happier with the results! We worked with Jack Wilson from the initial phone inquiry until the installation tech installed the unit; Jack helped us choose the right size unit for our home, explained exactly how the installation would go, was up front about all costs, and assured us that the company's satisfaction guarantee applied to us in such a way that if we disliked the tankless unit within 30 days of installation, his company would remove the unit, install a traditional tank-style water heater, and refund the difference! We will NOT be trading in the new tankless for an old-fashioned tank heater! A tankless water heater is not for every home. There are very specific installation guidelines that must be followed in order for the unit to work properly; in our case, we purchased a home less than 2 years ago with a tankless that was too small for the number of and quot;appliancesand quot; it served (3 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry), and the installation was incorrect from top to bottom. Please do not let this turn you off of tankless! Our gas bill is MUCH lower, it takes up just a few feet of wall space, we were given a discount on our home owner's insurance since we no longer have a 50 gallon liquid time bomb in the laundry room, and we literally could run the hot water 24/7 from both showers and 3 sinks and never lose a degree in temperature! If you are ready for a new water heater I STRONGLY recommend learning about tankless options, then find yourself a reputable installer, like Controlled Climate Systems, and go for it!

The pricing was reasonable. They were very professional from start to finish. Everything went smoothly. We were very pleased with them.

I moved into my house about a year ago, and just about as my home warranty was to expire, my hot water heater died. After contacting the home warranty company and talking with 2 different affiliated plumbers, it was clear that my hot water heater was not going to be replaced via the warranty. Controlled Climate Systems was recommended by a friend, so I called CCS and asked them to come out and look at the hot water heater late on a Friday afternoon. I never thought that anyone would be willing to come out to the house given that it was just about the weekend, so I resigned myself to cold showers for the weekend and probably the entire next week. However, the CCS representative arrived promptly and notified me that the entire hot water heating system would need to be replaced. I was quoted an excellent price (decided to upgrade the old system to a Rinnai tankless water heating system since I had one in my previous home and loved it) and the representative said that they would be out to the house on MONDAY MORNING to install the new system. An excellent price, prompt service, immediate installation = unheard of in the annals of the plumbing universe. But it happened and I was very excited to not experience an entire week of cold showers. Controlled Climate Systems arrived at 7:20 AM on Monday morning to install the Rinnai Tankless Water Heater (gas). They worked all day and had it installed by 6:00 PM ON THE SAME DAY!!!! The representatives were nice, polite, efficient, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend Controlled Climate Systems to anyone. An excellent company and very trustworthy.

When I expressed concern about a leak, Controlled Climate came out immediately. The service was thorough. The technician was friendly and informative. A follow up call was made.

It recently became necessary to replace one of two heat pump systems in our home. Over the last few years we have had experiences with HVAC contractors that were less than desirable. We contacted Controlled Climate Systems based upon the recommendation of a friend. From start to finish it was a positive experience. The sales representative, the project manager and installer were all extremely professional. The equipment (Carrier Infinity) has operated without fault in the extreme heat we experienced over this summer. We have already seen a drop in our utility bills when we expected an increase due to constant use. The system is much quieter than the York system that was replaced. The price was in line with the other two proposals received; however, Controlled Clcimate Systems includes a 10-year labor warranty that was not offered by the other two contractors. We highly recommend them to anyone and will certainly contact them for any service required on our other Rheem system. We will replace the Rheem with Carrier when it becomes necessary.

We have a contract with them that costs less than two visits would. They are really good, they are prompt, they don't jack you around, they come when they are supposed to, and they call when they can't make it. They are everything you would expect from someone that is straight up and honorable.

Don't call them, they don't respond timely or efficiently. My gas bills are out of site due to there inefficient installation.

I called Controlled Climate Systems, because in Pittsburgh they appear to be the only authorised, installer, and servicer of the Rinnai Tank-less systems. During the first call I was given a warning by the woman who answered the phone, that these systems are expensive, explaining they often cost $2000 installed, and that they will not repair any system installed by a homeowner... Sounded odd... The Sales person returned the call, asked where i lived, and explained these systems often cost $3000... Once the sales person arrived he looked at the utility room and the outside access, and explained he could and quot;do itand quot; for $2900. After discussing the project for 20 minutes and a phone call to his boss we agreed on a price of $2500, I really feel It was $500 more than retail, but oh well, I wanted the system and they are the only game in town... When the installer arrived, he explained my system was only the 2nd one he installed, and asked why we would want to install one????? In my opinion and based on the mutterings of the installer, he was in over his head, however it was a clean install, and the system works great! One other situation to watch out for, when the system was sold, a model number was not stated, only after installing I learned it was the entry level model, maxing out at 120 degrees, If given the choice, I would have chosen a different model, and paid the difference. UPDATE, After the management of Controlled Climate Systems reviewed my initial post, they made every effort to correct the situation. The contacted the manufacture and found an internal over ride for the 120 D temperature setting, they also agreed to send a Tech out to preform routine service and maintenance on the system at no charge. I am very impressed with the way CCS handled my situation, and i would defiantly recommend them to friends and family. Lee, preformed the routine service, he took time to explain the process, and show me how important it is to preform the service, both to maintain accurate water temperature, and to protect our investment. He appears to be a technician who embraces new technology and displays his enthusiasm in his craft.
