Not only did they provide to us the fixtures we wanted for our bathroom remodel, they saved the day when our original contractor took us for a ride, botched the job, and had to be kicked out and sued. Classic Accent saved the day and did beautiful work.
Description of Work: Remodel redo after original contractor botched it. Badly!

Description of Work: I wish I would have read these reviews before deciding to have this company give me an estimate. After seeing my bathroom and doing the appropriate measurements, Don told me he would have a quote to me by the end of the week. It has now been 7 weeks, and I have repeatedly called the showroom. Both times Rory said Don will call me back. Still no response. Extremely unprofessional and uncourteous.

+ 0 moreTook two weeks of calls to get Don to the house. It's been 3 weeks since the appointment and I haven't received the drawing he was going to do or any price estimates. I've called at least 8 times and occasionally get to speak with his wife or Rory. "We will review and get back" is typical answer. They don't use email, no website, no CAD, and don't give out any cell phone numbers. You have to leave messages on the office line, they don't typically answer the phone. I understand that contractors get busy but he said nothing about any backlog or long lead time to get back. Even a hand drawing should be quick and easy to complete and estimate. I've done several kitchens and a good designer will crank out CAD design options and estimates in a matter of minutes. There are way too many kitchen and bath contractors to deal with a company this unresponsive.
Description of Work: Requested an estimate for several cabinets in my mud room to match those in my kitchen. They are the closest dealer for my cabinet maker. I provided pictures and a pretty specific example of what I was looking for.

+ 0 moreAfter waiting a month for a visit from the estimater, which occurred six weeks ago, I have been calling once or twice a week to get a quote. Simple project: bath-to-shower conversion. The last time I called (during business hours), I got voicemail and left a message begging to be told something: If they weren't interested in my business, at least call me and tell me, so that I can move on. I would prefer to use a local business, but not at this hassle. My son is getting married and we're having lots of guests, which I told them. Still no response.
Description of Work: First, they wouldn't talk to me unless I came into the showroom, which I did. Then, their estimater only makes calls on Wednesdays, so I had to wait a month for a visit from the estimater. That was six weeks ago. Since then, nothing.

+ 0 moreWe are completely remodeling our kitchen, and were looking to install a quartz counter top throughout (including several sections of counter plus a large island). We stopped by the showroom, and spoke to a gentleman who was very nice and very knowledgeable about counter tops, and he said that he could send us an estimate if we sent him our plans. He gave us his card, and it wasn't until we got home that I realized that there was no email address on the card! I looked around for a web site, but apparently the business does not have one, at least none that I can find. (I don't know how a business can exist without a web site in the 21st century.) We called and obtained an email address, and I sent our plans to it. I never got any response. We went with someone else.
Description of Work: We asked for an estimate. We never got one.

Description of Work: The guys were so helpful-- I described what I want and Don showed me 2 additional alternatives, carefully explaining every detail. I decided to go with one of the alternate designs because of the information he gave -- that I didn't know about.The crew were very professional, worked quickly & even did little extra things I asked like carrying something heavy down 2 flights of steps. They cleaned up every night before they left. They came on time each morning. Altogether they what did for me: renovated a front porch and installed windows (none before); installed garage door, sanded stairsteps and gave me a few bathroom renovation designs as I'd asked.

Description of Work: We had a master bath remodel done in 2008, and kitchen remodel in 2010. For both projects, the lead time to start the jobs was long, but once the guys came and started, they completed the work in a very timely manner. Both jobs were very satisfactory and we were pleased with the results. The problem has been with follow-up service. My calls do not get returned, visits to their place don't seem to make any difference. I always get the excuse that they have been so busy. Don, at times, claimed to have not gotten my messages, but even when I have been able to talk with him directly, he puts me off about my requests. When I could finally get them to come back after months of trying, they did perform the requested and needed service. I got tired of the frustration I have to deal with in trying to get them to take care of my problems. I used to enthusiastically recommend Classic to everyone, but no longer do it. I have finally given up on them and will have to hire someone else to do the repairs/adjustments for me.

+ -1 moreVery slow to respond to request for estimate. Has very long lead time to perform the work. Quality of the work was good, Completed within time estimated.They do not stand behind their work. One of the shower door s has repeatedly come off the bottom track. Started within 3 months of being installed. He has refused to come and reapir it despite multiple trps to the show room. It take 2 strong people to marginally fix it. My next door neighbor must help each time this happens. I am not sure is it was installed incorrectly or it is a bad design.

+ -1 moreWe received a favorable reference about Classic Accent and called them to set up an estimate on a powder room renovation and new hall floor. They came, took measurements and seemed ready to get back to us. BUT, we never heard from them again. We called them 3 different times, one time getting in touch with the person who came to our home. He apologized for the delay and said he would get back to us, yet again never called back. We heard they do nice work and have seen nice jobs they have done, but if they don't want to call back, I guess they don't get the job.
Description of Work: Powder room renovation and new hall floor.

+ -1 moreIN LATE JULY, WE WENT TO THE SHOWROOM OF CLASSIC ACCENT. IN AUGUST, WE CONTACTED CLASSIC ACCENT AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT IN SEPT FOR AN ESTIMATE. IT SEEMED TO BE A LONG TIME TO WAIT FOR A CONTRACTOR TO DO AN ESTIMATE, BUT WE AGREED TO WAIT UNTIL SEPT, AT THEIR REQUEST. THEY SHOWED UP AS SCHEDULED, AND GATHERED ALL THE INFORMATION NECESSARY FOR THE ESTIMATE. 3 WEEKS LATER, WE CALLED ABOUT THE STATUS OF OUR ESTIMATE. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE OUR NAME AND NUMBER AND CALL US BACK. AFTER ANOTHER 2 WEEKS AND NO RETURN CALL, WE CALLED CLASSIC AGAIN TO FIND OUT WHY THEY DIDN'T GET WITH US CONCERNING OUR ESTIMATE. THIS TIME THE OWNER, DON MCGREEVY, TOOK THE CALL AND SAID HE WOULD HAVE TO GET WITH THE INDIVIDUAL THAT DID OUR ESTIMATE AND FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR FILE. IT'S NOW THE END OF OCTOBER, AND STILL NO RESPONSE.
