Disappointed! Hired to clean out flower beds and mulch as well as trim hedge and plant seed/topsoil where a tree had been removed. Cleaning out the flower bed entailed them cutting everything off with a hedge trimmer and putting mulch on top. When I questioned the back bed and seeing it wasn't edged. they came back pulled some out, said he would check back in the next couple of weeks and spray if anything comes up. As I expected the weeds and things came up through the mulch. My garden lights haven't worked since they were here. Now that I'm far enough removed from my surgery I'll check out what is up with them. Never heard back or saw anyone until I posted this earlier today, now they've just come and took their sign off my porch -- never knocked on the door to check on things or discuss my concerns. Great way to do business.

The work was promised to be completed the first week of May. At the end of the second week of May, the provider hadn't shown up and I never received communication regarding when they would show up. I sent an email and they responded immediately saying they would be out the next day or following day at the latest. Once again, they never showed up! At the end of the third week of May, the still hadn't shown up and never called or emailed. I sent an email asking when they would be here. Finally, I was promised the following Monday and they showed up. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating.

Called this provider based on Angie's list reviews. The woman on the phone was prompt, friendly and helpful. She scheduled an on-site estimate for the next day (6/25/2015) at 3:00 p.m. Unfortunately, no one showed up at 3:00 p.m. today as planned, and no one called to explain. I called the provider around 3:30 pm and left a voicemail, but I haven't heard back from anyone. I'm sure they do great work, but I'll have to take my business elsewhere.

To begin with Ruell's gave me the best estimate by far. They came out and gave me an item by item list of the proposed work and the estimate. When I hired them, they came out and perform the work efficiently. My yard was transformed from a wasteland into a nice environment where I was able to have cookouts and just sit out back and enjoy it. I was treated with courtesy, and there were no surprise additional costs. I plan to hire them again in the spring. This is a good trustworthy company.

Mike was helpful and knowledgeable . I did have to make several calls to get our work scheduled. I realize we had a lot of rain this summer which effected their ability to get outdoor work done. When I notified them that I would be traveling and needed to have the work done before we left, they scheduled it for the following week. We added some extra stone at the last minute and Mike did arrange to have it delivered with the rest of the stone so they could finish the same day. We did have to explain to the crew which trees were to be removed when they arrived. They were courteous and did use some of our tools which they did make sure were returned to the shed before they left. I felt the workers didn't know a lot about plants. One area they were to grade and reseed they just put down grass seed and straw without scratching the packed dirt. What came up was heavy rye type grass and lots of weeds. also I didn't realize that they used a blower to spread tanbark which I feel gave an un-even distribution of bark. I have never used a landscaper before and perhaps I didn't ask enough questions. I will ask questions more questions in the future.

We got an estimate the end of April with work to be done Memorial Day week. Emailed me and said would try, but would definitely schedule us for 2nd week in June. By end of that week, with no one showing up, I called and emailed again. Got a call saying they were running behind, but definitely W, T, or F of next week. No show, no call. Here we are the end of June and we have to start the process all over thanks to hollow promises. I gave them the courtesy of a final email saying I was posting this experience on Angie's list. That was a week ago so I guess they don't care.

After finding Ruell's on Angie's List I contacted them in mid-April. Their initial response was very prompt, and they came out to give us an estimate quickly. We received a proposal via email quickly as well, and I called to accept the proposal. I didn't hear anything for a few weeks, so I called. About a week later they called back and asked me if I needed work done right away. I said that I wanted the work done ASAP, and she promised they would come to re-seed dead spots in the front lawn right away, and would let us know when the rest of the work would be performed. (edging, mulching) By the end of May I had heard nothing, and they had not come to re-seed the lawn as promised, or called with a work date. At this point I emailed and asked for a work date, and never heard back. I just hired someone else.

They were fine. I would use them again in the future.

Ruell is fantastic. They were prompt, professional and courteous. They did a great job on a challenging hill.

They were very responsive to our complaints and came back and finished the job correctly. I would use again but with very specific hands on instruction when they arrived.

Leaf cleanup appears to be satisfactory. All flower beds and yard were cleaned up. Responded to my call right away as I wanted one last cleanup before more snow came. Felt price was high as I've had fall cleanup performed in the past by 2 other companies in the area and was charged only half this amount or less which also included blowing out the gutters and at that time I had a ton more leaves in my yard compared to a minimal amount this time! After calling Ruell's, I was told the price was due to cleaning the debris off on top of gutter guards and they had to haul away leaves. The other companies I used also hauled away their own leaves.. Unclear how many men were working at property as I was not home at the time services were performed. Again, satisfactory work but high priced for leaf cleanup.

We were not at home when they came but the work was completed. We are very pleased. We have received many compliments from our neighbors and friends.

It went perfectly. (At least for us!) One of the landscapers wound up receiving 3 bee stings as a result of doing a very thorough job when lifting up the branches of some low growing evergreen bushes in order to 'blow' mulch under them! This company did an excellent job and we were very pleased with everything they did. We would definitely recommend them to anyone and we plan on using them again next year.

The service went quite well. I have used them for several years. They are reliable, they do a very good job, and I have compared their price with 2 others, and their price seems to be fair. They are here when they say they will be here.

Ruell's estimate was the highest, but Mike and Angela were the only ones who actually came out to our home, walked around, made detailed notes and fully understood what we were asking for. Mike and his crew did an amazing job. All crew members were polite and respectful. We just moved into this home and it had a few years neglect. By the time they finished, it looked amazing! We will be using Ruell's for all future landscape/hardscape needs.

Arrived and explained what they were going to do, Made sure that where they were parking was good and would not interfere with our mobility. They set up and completed the job applying weed stop and then blowing mulch on hillside and front of house. Was told mulch would be 1 to 2 inch thick, but was barely 1 inch thick.

Everything went exactly as planned. Very smoothly.

Ruell's showed up when they promised and did a good job with planning &situation of plan.

I can't say enough good things about the work Ruell's does! Right from the start of the project Mike and Angela were awesome. They came out a number of times to discuss what we wanted to have done. They provided many ideas and suggestions that we had not even considered. Mike clearly has experience and expertise in his craft. I was very impressed by his unwillingness to cut corners. He made sure every last detail of the project was spot on. Mike was willing to go above and beyond and accommodate all my changes throughout the project. We are thrilled with the final project and love our new backyard.

Overall, every thing went very well.
