Description of Work: If you have an emergency and don't mind paying a premium then use this company. We called on a Saturday for a water heater issue, technician arrived within about 2 hours to check out the problem. He got us up and running temporarily and called back with an estimate on Monday. $900 for a valve or $770 if I became a member. Well for a water heater that is 9 years old I got a second opinion before I spent that kind of money to repair. The local plumber came out and got us up and running for $125.00. The Pronto plumber was very nice and I think did his best to help us out but the whole thing with the membership pricing just seems very shady to me. This is my second experience with this company and unless I'm in a real jam I don't plan on using them again.

Description of Work: Awesome experience. Gerry came out was very professional and gave an honest quote. Work was provided on the spot and he cleaned up his mess. I decided to join their membership club even though i am a handyman it is still worth it to use the "Rainy Day Fund" for preventative maintenance. A+ in my book.

Description of Work: This company seems to have a nice program in place in order to secure customers for future services; however, if you are looking for a company to take care of one job, this may not be the place to go. I was looking for someone to fix a leak that was coming from the side of my shower and going into the basement. The gentleman from Pronto Plumbing looked at it, assessed it, and diagnosed it as a pinhole leak in the main shower pipe. The pipe replacement was going to cost $2700 (this was for more than just the tub, this included some additional old copper pipes in the basement as well). I don't know prices, so I'm not sure if this was good or bad, but I did tell him I was keeping my copper piping and he smiled and albeit reluctantly, agreed. We sat down and looked at the company's book. It went something like this; if you're a gold member (and pay the higher price for an annual membership), you get a better price on parts and labor. If you pay a lower price, you pay more for parts and labor, etc. They have many different skills and if I anticipated a lot of future projects, I may not think this concept was a bad idea. Having said that, I called Mike's Plumbing (Hershey) for a second opinion. A gentleman came out, said he thought it was the cracks in the grout and made a phone call to a guy named Bill Garrison. He explained to Bill the problem while pushing in on my tiles and closely looking at the grout. He told me to go get a shower curtain and a spring rod and cover that wall until the issue could be resolved. That was it. No more water. Apparently, grout should be replaced every 15-20 years and mine probably hasn't been since the 50's. So, yes, Pronto Plumbing had good customer service and a good concept in bringing back business, but it could have been a costly misdiagnosis for me. I paid both plumbing companies to come out and assess, and it was worth taking the time and spending the money to do so. I would call Mike's Plumbing in Hershey first next time, but depending on your future fix-up plans, I don't know that you should rule out Pronto Plumbing.

Description of Work: We have used Pronto multiple times. We purchased the membership with Secoe and Pronto is in the Secoe family. First time we used them was an emergency situation where a pipe ruptured in our basement. We called the emergency number and they sent out someone within the hour. Their employee diagnosed the problem, gave us an estimate(very competitive) and fixed the problem within 2 hours. They also provided us with information for their sister companies to give us estimates for clean up and repair our basement walls. Their workforce is very professional and always put the customer first. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of hvac, plumbing, or electrical.

Description of Work: To make a long story short, I had a clog in the main line leading from the house out to the street. After trying to gain access to the problem from inside the house via stack and by removing the toilet, he had to call in an excavator to dig a hole next to my house. After digging down to the main line, he broke a 3-foot section of pipe and right where he broke it, he pulled out a bunch of small roots that were growing in the pipe. He then check the pipe all the way to the street and back into the house to check for problems. After seeing none, he replaced the 3-foot section with PVC pipe and installed a clean-out for future use. He was there all day and very courteous and professional. The original quote for the work was $3200 but I signed up for the members program and saved $400.

Description of Work: Water was shooting up from the supply stanchion and leaking out the top onto the bowl top and under the seat. Tony DeMichele came out immediately after he completed his early morning job. He took the top off the tank, flushed the toilet, observed the water spray, shut off the supply valve and replaced the stanchion, ball, arm and flapper. If I hadn't had Seeco's XCS Membership, it would have cost $234.75. As a result of having built up over $400 in credits from automatic monthly mbrshp payments of $12.95, I paid not a cent! Great program!! Unfortunately, Tony hadn't been told that I had the XCS membership, so he called the office to obtain verification, which he did.

Description of Work: I needed a leaky faucet repaired, a leaky toilet repaired and two saddle valves replaced with ball valves. That, plus an initial club fee of $129 or so totaled $870. If you want something done cheaply, ask someone else. If you need something done professionally, and at short notice, these are the guys. I subscribed to a membership, nor necessary for their service, because I will be traveling and I want plumbing, carpentry and electrical revive that I can call up and get help on immediately. These guys fit that bill. They are very professional, show up promptly and do a great job. No more plastic tubing and saddle valves for the humidifier and the fridge ice maker! Very much worth it and I will use again.
