ABC PAINTING

Started off good. Showed up promptly to give quote and then it went downhill. Assured me he had done a lot of decks and he knew what he was doing. Guaranteed it be done to my satisfaction. When it came time to paint my deck he wanted to show up the day after it had rained all day, deck was still wet. He asked my opinion if it was dry enough. He ended up coming the week after. When it was painted he just dropped a guy off to do the work even though he told me he stayed on the job site with workers. After it was painted I had chipping and paint bubbling 2 weeks after work was done. Called him to tell him about it and he didn't come look at it until a week later and also asked me what I thought the problem could be. Sent a guy back out and still didn't fix it right. The guy he sent back out missed obvious spots where the paint was gone. Over all sloppy work. The second trip he did leave the extra paint so now I will have to fix it or call him back a third time. For a shoddy paint job $690 dollars is way too much.

They showed up on time to start job. That was about all that went right. Right from the beginning I had concerns due to the fact they started painting the house from bottom to top. I questioned this, and he said don't worry, we got it covered. But as I thought, as they got higher, they were splashing paint down on the areas where they already had painted. Not to mention that cutting around windows was twice as dark as the roller on paint. No painting was done on the tops or bottoms of any window/door trim. I had to call them back over and over...6 times to get things fixed. In the end, it was never really fixed and I had to finish the job myself as best I could. Issues that remained when he said he was not coming back... 1.)Areas that were never painted. 2.)Gutters not re-hung and some not painted. 3.)Over 100 areas that either had runs, over painted (dark areas everywhere they used a brush to cut in) essentially dark outlines around every window and door. 4.)Paint splashed on newly painted area. There was one area that was extemly bad. Worker tried to remove it and only made it worse. When I told him about it, the owner said and quot;We tried, but we can't do nothing more to fix it...it won't come offand quot;. At one point, I went around the house taking pictures of every issue I had. The owner came down and we reviewed every picture while looking directly at the actual issue on the house. Time and time again, I asked the owner and quot;Is this what you call completedand quot;, and quot;Do you call this professionaland quot;, and quot;Does this look done to youand quot;. Almost every answer from him was NO, that should not look like that. Yet nothing was ever done. This guy and his workers are a joke. Do not hire them for anything.

Harry painted the exterior of my house ten years ago. I have owned my house for 30 years. The job done by ABC painting was the best that was ever done. It has held up well and the company was very professional. I am just starting to get some peeling on the back of my house and I'm discussing having him paint again although the whole house is pretty much in good shape yet. Harry worked with me to get the job done right. I would definitely use him again and highly recommend his services.
