Joel & Dustin delivered our appliances on Dec,9. They removed the stove & refrigerator so I could clean behind them and then put the new ones in. Dustin put the dishwasher in & Joel did the microwave. They did an excellent job of removing the old appliances & installling the new ones, They put cardboard on floor to protect it & put old appliances in our garage. I would give them an E for excellence in all the work they did.
Description of Work: Joel & Dustin removed our old appliances & installed the new ones.

They are a good team, they did a great job removing the old set and installing the new set working well together communicating with each other to make sure each was doing ok through the entire movement process.

The total experience was first class. From calling the Brownstown Service Department to getting the work done. Called them at 3PM and Eric was out at 7:30AM the next morning and had all the work completed in about an hour! Interesting story is that I initially called the factory 1-800 number and they wanted to repair it for $349 not including the water filter. They said it would include all parts and labor but could not tell me who would be doing the repair. That was not OK with us so we went to Angie's List and looked for Martins. Martins Service immediately told us of a warranty issue that Frigidaire is supplying the part for free of charge (but not the labor) for the very same issue that I was experiencing on the refrigerator. The factory 1-800 number conveniently did not share that info with me. Martins did all of the above work for $190 which included the filter and they did it ~16 hours after the initial call to their Service Department. Appliance Repair does not get any better than this! I definitely recommend them!

I felt they were very honest with me and told me what to watch for with regard to the frig, so that I would know when it was getting worse and replacement was unavoidable. I was surprised that two men showed up (had not been told to expect that). The only reason I can think of was that they thought there might be a possibility of having to remove the washing machine which would require two people. Did I pay more because two men came? I don't know. The cost for just the service call was $69, which I guess is pretty customary. They charged a $20 labor fee to empty the freezer and take a look. They only had to drive 10 min. to get to my house and were only here for about 10 min. The total price seemed high just for what was done and the short travel distance. They were very punctual and even called to say they could come earlier than scheduled.
Description of Work: My washing machine was malfuntioning, as was my refrigerator. Two repairmen came out and determined that a part was required to fix the washing machine and would cost $800-$1000 to fix it, which is significantly more than the cost of some new washers and given the age of mine, it was certainly not worth fixing. My frig was freezing any food that was in the back half of the frig. They removed all the food from the freezer and determined that it was the freezer that was not working properly; there is likely a coolant leak somewhere but it would be expensive to determine just where the source of the leak was. Given that the age of that appliance is 14 years, it didn't make sense to fix that one either but this one could limp along.

Ray, our service tech, is the most professional, courteous, and knowledgeable service person we have ever had in our house. He calls when he is on his way, can order parts and schedule the revisit to install, and removes all trash. The office personnel, our guy is Kyle, are awesome. Friendly and courteous. We are loyal Martin Appliance customers and highly recommend them. They have 6 stores, so check out their website and call them!
Description of Work: We have a ten year old under-counter ice maker. These units are pricey, new, $1500 & up. We lost a thermostat on it in August, repaired by Martin Appliance, and now just lost the wire grid that heats to cut the sheet of ice into cubes (broken wire due to age).

The compressor part was not available locally and had to be shipped in from out of state. Luckily we had the loaner fridge. The part arrived and was installed in about a week. The refrigerator has been running fine for 4 months,
Description of Work: Our 6 month old Maytag MBF2258XEB refrigerator compressor failed under warranty. Martin's provided us with a free loaner refrigerator within 2 hours of the first service call (we did buy the appliance from Martin's).

Tim was very helpful and took as much time as we needed to explore all the features and options in selecting our new appliances. He was very knowledgable about each appliance and manufacturer (something not to be found at the big box stores -- we tried that before going to Martins). He was able to answer all our questions (there were many). We settled on the models we wanted and made the purchase. Delivery was scheduled for the day we wanted. Delivery and installation was on time and professional. Refrigerator was installed with water line for ice maker. Washer was installed to water lines. Gas dryer was not installed due to the fact that we were waiting on a plumbing company to install the gas line. Good care was taken to protect hardwood floors.

It's much better than buying your appliances from a home improvement store. They are very knowledgable about what you need. They service what they sell, and things that they don't sell. They are great.

parts replaced during the last repair malfunctioned - don't trust their repairs. They'll be back for more!
Description of Work: Martin's replaced a compressor on my refrigerator twice. The first time, they installed the compressor incorrectly and it promptly malfunctioned. They returned and repaired it again after admitting that the first installation repair was not done correctly. Then, according to thier service tech, one of the parts replaced/repaired during the last repair malfunctioned and caused the ice maker to freeze up - another $500.00 plus dollar repair which I have to pay. The office personnel just say pay up!

I spent about $800 on that service. They have always been competitively priced, but they don’t nickel brand their customers. They come in set up everything right, the price is good and that is it. I just feel good dealing with them. I would tell others that they have a big variety of appliance and they are probably $5 or $10 more than the big box stores, but they all their own servicing. They have their own service department and they are very accommodating and if something goes wrong they come out right away. When they bring in the appliance, they set up and make sure it is all working. They also clean up and I just think that they do a really good job and it is worth it to me to pay the little bit extra.
Description of Work: I used Martin Appliance about 6 or 8 months ago and I bought 4 different appliances from them.
