The house looked great, but thats where it ended. Since our purchase in 2018 we have had numerous problems. A lot of poor quality work and a lack of integrity. a brief summary of our issues. -First day we moved in, hall shower drain was never connected. Had water damage from 2nd floor to basement. They did bare minimum to make look new again. - tile work in both 2nd floor bathrooms looks like a drunk did it. I could have laid straighter tile and the grout was slapped all over haphazardly. -heating system was not installed properly. Outside intake and exhaust were facing each other. carbon monoxide alarms went off forcing us into a motel until it was repaired. -Windows allow water in when we have bad rainstorms. -front of house floods due to improper grading. In winter we have an ice lake so we cant leave house out front door. -grass seed never took on the lawn, it was dead upon moving in causing massive erosion in our side and backyard, the ground collapsed in one part of our yard and found about 400 feet of the old driveway from the previous home in another part of the backyard. -air conditioning system was poorly installed, when it failed I had a professional company come in. Upstairs unit didnt have a filter drier installed, they never put in a txv valve causing contaminants to clog and probably cause long term damage to the system. Im sure the life of the unit has substantially decreased due to this. intake and exhaust were reversed, facing the wrong way, and not pitched properly. Condensate drain was not pitched correctly and did not install drain pan plug. I strongly urge anyone considering this company to use literally anyone else or consider reading a book and doing it yourself before hiring this company. Everything they do is as fast and poorly as possible.

Description of Work: Mid Atlantic was assigned to me by Home Serve (insurance i pay for) They were contracted to start in October but did not untill December. The people who answer the phones (expecially John) are very very rude. Water was leaking under my house for over 2 months & they could care less. When they did come instead of 8 or so in the morning , it was more around 11. They had a smal back hoe to dig, they made a total mess (breaking cable wire, cracking/chipping cement & the worse is they actually tore my fence open like a sardine can & totally destroyed my gate. They were digging away in mostly darkness (lights on there machine not working) Also, i happened to look in the ditch were the new copper pipe was placed & noticed that it was coppled to the old pipe. They were being paid to do curb to meter. I pointed it out & they got very mad at me, i really don't know if they ever replaced all that they were paid to do, I was so upset at the time. When i confronted them the next morning about my fence, they denied even touching it & saying it was old anyway. It may have been a few years old but it was strong & standing before they came along ! BBB also has a not so good rating for them, they tried to help me but MidAtlantic would not respond to any of their letters. So about the fence, Home Serve felt so bad for me that they actually gave me about $500 to help with fence. I would not recommend anyone to use this company for anything other than a drippy faucet & maybe not even that. They are rude, nasty, tardy, liars, sloppy & most of all, do not seem to know much about what they were hired to do ! I will NEVER under any conditions use them again !!

Description of Work: Discovered a hole in my sewer stack. Called on Sat 9/15/12 and repair man said they were unable to fix over the weekend. He used clay or putty, that worked to close the hole over the weekend so we could shower and use toliet without having a flood in basemnet. They called on Monday and we scheduled repair for following day. Tom K and Steve T did the repair, cleaned up after themselves and were very nice. Explained to me how the repair was to be done.

To make a long story short - Horrible We had no sewer due to a problem in the pipe going out of the house. We called our insurance ( HomeServe) which sent us a technician from Mid- Atlantic. It was the second day without a sewer and we are 6 in the house, so things were not "great" already. They were suppose to call us first thing in the morning between 8:00 and 8:30. Around 10:30 I called the insurance for an update because no one called. A technician arrived around 12:30, spend most of the three hours he was in on the phone in his van, and later said that they had to dig into the yard to get to the pipe - bad news, but I said "ok, when?""We will let you know later" he said.I called around 5:00pm to the insurance to see what is going on... We had NO SEWER still. Insurance let us know that they are waiting for a report from the technician - I said that he left 2 hrs ago and said we had to dig, and I would like that to happen first thing in the morning since this day was already wasted.Insurance called me back and told me that Mid Atlantic told them I had a problem in the house and it is not covered under the sewage insurance- "IN THE HOUSE???" I asked.I said "they are lying to one of us, and I have their report on the invoice in writing saying they need to reschedule in order to dig".The insurance company called a different plumber who came that same night, and by 10:30PM opened the clogged Sewer line. This is the short version, stay away from these guys! The new plumber heard some of what happened, and stopped me when he heard it was Mid Atlantic " I heard worse stories" he said.
