Description of Work: I had a window A/C that tripped the breaker every time I turned it on. I called and had an appointment for 2 days later. The serviceman was running late but called to tell me so. He wore paper booties to protect my floors, and was careful to explain the pricing policy when he first arrived. He thoroughly checked my circuit breaker box, the A/C unit, and the outlet. Then he tried the A/C on another outlet and concluded that it was the A/C unit that was old and defective and drawing too much power. He recommended a new unit. Because I was a first-time customer, he performed a whole house electrical safety check for free. He did recommend numerous other changes for an additional cost, but I choose to wait on that. He explained every procedure each step of the way in clear "layman's" language. I did purchase a new window A/C and the unit has been running fine without tripping the breaker. A thank you note from the company that was signed by the electrician was mailed to me a week later. If I choose to do the additional work at a later time, I would have no reservations about calling Martella.
