Martella Electric

Fantastic. Martella has a price list they share with you so there are no surprises. When they installed the dryer outlet they also did a complimentary survey of the entire house and made suggestions and recommendations. I was so pleased and impressed with the professionalism of the electrician (John) that I called them back to do additional work (and will likely be in touch again this summer).

I scheduled an inspection with Martella Electric to obtain an estimate for rewiring my entire house. The gentleman who appeared for the appointment was an absolute delight, and he spent 2-3 hours carefully examining the entire house while we discussed electrical work, my neighborhood (he spent part of his childhood there), gardening, family, etc., you name it. HOWEVER, he never sent me an estimate, so I did not have an opportunity to work with him.

Technician Scott Brown came in with a "red carpet" which he put down to wipe his feet, he then put on booties over his shoes. He was dressed in the company uniform so there was no doubt who he worked for. He explained the company's policy, guarantee and pricing. After all the work was done, we went over each repair/installation and he made sure that I was completely satisfied with the work. He also did a free home inspection to see if there were any issues of concern and since I am in the process of putting my house up for sale, this was very helpful to me. Some of the issues I was aware of, others not. I liked the overall professionalism of the whole experience and would recommend their services.

Scott arrived at the appointed time and proceeded to tell me about the company, and then proceeded to find out what I needed fixed. We walked through my house as I showed him what I needed done and then he gave me a quote for the work and explained the pricing. He also confirmed that it could be completed that day. Once I agreed to the price he got to work and was done in a couple of hours. I also asked him for quotes on other work I wanted done around my house which he did for me once he was done fixing what I called Martella for originally. Again it was a very good experience and I plan to hire them for the additional work we need done in our house.

Fantastic service and great experience. The technician was very professional and responsive. He went above and beyond to fix our original problem and explain other issues. He charged less than what was originally quoted. I have used 3 electricians. They have (hands down)been the best.

Terry Liddy from Martella arrived at my home on the appointed day and time with all of the necessary tools and equipment to do the jobs that we previously agreed upon. Before beginning his work, Terry reviewed what was required and the cost so I completely understood what was to be done that day. At this point, he began the necessary work required to provide both electric and cable to the location where the TV was to be mounted. As I had requested, Terry was able to install the electric outlets and pull the HDMI cable behind the wall so no wires or cable would be seen by opening 2 small holes in the wall. Following that, a second Martella representative arrive to assist Terry in the remaining work to be done. They then installed an additional kitchen outlet for a microwave and added a home surge protection system at my circuit board. Once the electric and cable wires were run, Terry and his assistant mounted the 55 inch television and the sound bar system. On a personal note, I found all of the Martella reps courteous and friendly. Upon arriving, each rep place coverings over their shoes so no dirt would be tracked into my home and carpeting. Before leaving my home, Terry reviewed how the home surge protection was installed and how it operated. He also took the time to make sure the TV and sound bar system was working. I could not have expected anything more from Martella. No wires were visible and they left the walls patched where the cables were run. I am aware of additional electrical work that needs to be done and will most definitely make Martell Electric my first call.

I emailed Martella on Sunday night and got a call by 11:30 Monday. They were able to make it out in an hour and fix the problem within a couple of hours. Additionally, the showed other areas of concern that I might want to think about in the future. Very Professional and knowledgeable, I would highly recommend them and have them out again. Jeff

I called on August 30 when my movers discovered that the hookup for the dryer was gas, while my dryer is electric (and there was no line for the electric dryer). They scheduled an electrician to come out the very next day. John (the electrician) was fantastic -- very helpful. He installed the dryer line; suggested and installed whole house surge protector, and did a mini audit of the house. I have already booked them to return to install a grounded outlet in my living room as well as replace 3 ceiling fans.

Extremely pleased with the service and employees of this company, very professional and respectful of your home while working, cleaned up after work was completed. Wore shoe coverings and laid floor mat upon arrival into house. Very neat and clean job performed.All work was completed as stated and guaranteed. The cost was given to me before the job was started.Will be calling this company back for more electrical services I want done in the near future.Highly satisfied.

They were clean, professional, on-time, and did exactly what they said they would. They use standard pricing and explain the charges clearly prior toperforming the work.

It went very well. Terry was neat and professional.He explained exactly how he was going to do the work, and explained the extra cost for the ceiling fan installations.

Decided not to upgrade at this point in time.

This morning when I turned on my bathroom light I heard a pop and the lights went out. At first I thought it was a light bulb, but then I realized all the lights and the fan were off. I checked the rest of the house and found out I had a big problem on my hands. I had parts of several rooms without electricity. I checked the electrical panel in the garage and everything was fine. I went online and checked Angie's List. I was going to use the electrician I had used previously but he had several recent bad reviews. I called Martella's and spoke to John. Very kind, at first he said they could not get out until Mon or Tues. I explained this was the only bathroom and needed help. He was terrific, he suggested someone might be able to get out later today if their jobs went quicker than expected. Sure enough when I checked back with him he said Richard one of the owners was on his way. Richard arrived with an apprentice Matt and went to work. They could not have been nicer. Asking very careful questions and began searching. I have an older the house and some of the wiring is daisy chained to each other. But they searched and searched and even called in another electrician Terry. Believe it or not the problem was in the electrical panel in the kitchen. It took a long time to find, but they were very methodical and careful. I am thrilled with the work that was done. Richard is very nice, Matt and Terry were terrific. I got an estimate for more work and I will definitely use them for the job. They were also very careful not to make a mess, they wore shoe covers and put down a mat just inside the door they were going in and out of. Even my cat liked Richard and she hates everybody but me!!

After our usual contractor failed to perform the service we called Martella's and he immediately returned our call. This work was for a small job at our rental property. The appointment was made directly with our tenant for the next business day (Monday). The cost was clearly stated, work was performed professionally and quickly. We will definately being calling Martella for all our future electrical needs.

We found Martella Electric to be highly rated on Angie's List and invited them to give us an estimate. We hired them for the job and had a particularly mannerly and authoritative electrician do the work. He explained everything in a way that a non-electrician like myself could understand. We liked him enough to take on tasks that we hadn't originally contemplated, and he performed all of them in an exemplary manner. In an age when everyone demands a home inspection before buying a house, we felt that we should correct any wiring problems now and not under the gun of a sale years from now. We are most happy with the work.

john arrived on time. after telling him we may have another problem with the outlets, he told us it was no problem. he went right to work on the spotlight. when he came across a problem with the wires, he gave us options on how to fix it.it was fixed in no time. he then checked the outlets in the kitchen and found the problem. he kept us informed of price changes along the way. john is a great guy and we appreciate the work he did. would call them again if needed.

John arrived promptly on time and immediately began working. He was very pleasant and professional and completed the services very satisfactorly.

It went extremely well. The electrician was very knowledgeable, super nice, polite and did excellent work. He came in, gave me a brief background on himself and the company (it was my first time using them) and then proceeded to listen to my problem. He then went out to grab his tools, took a look and sure enough it was the same problem PECO said it was. We went in and he went over my pricing options. After a brief discussion with my wife, we accepted the fix and he went to work. An hour later the power was back on and he cleaned up after himself. In my line of work, I use a lot of outside companies to get things done. Martella is a rare company that takes pride in their work and really cares about the customer. From start (the initial phone call to the dispatch office) to finish (Scott turning my power back on), this was a fantasic experience.

We called Martella when we tried to install two new lights and found that there were no junction boxes. We called last Sunday and they came on Tuesday - the responsiveness was very important because we have family coming in for Easter and needed this done fast. From the first call to the finished product, Martella's service people delivered as promised. Rich came out while my husband was home and was polite, professional and informative. My husband was very pleased with the work and the customer service and I was happy to see our new lights hung when I got home from work. We wouldn't hesitate to use Martella again.

We are planning on re-insulating our attic, and have some knob and tube wiring on our 3rd Floor, so I need an estimate to remove the K&T/upgrade the wiring on the 3rd floor; I also wanted to get an estimate to remove all the remaining K&T wiring in our 100 year old house. The whole experience with Richard was a very good one - he called me (another contractor had asked him to get in touch with me), he was on time and professional for the estimate visit, providing some helpful insight about the house, and got me an estimate by email within a few days. In the end, we decided to insulate in a way that doesn't require re-wiring, so we didn't use Martella (or any other electrician), but I would definitely consider doing so in the future.The estimate was pretty pricey, although almost exactly the same as another estimate I got, so I think fair. Also, the tenor of my conversation during the estimate suggests the crew would have done a professional job, although having not done the work, I obviously can't say for sure!
