Martella Electric

The work was fine. I thought they were a little high priced but the work was fine. It was $500 per each outdoor outlet. I really wanted the functionality of using an electrical connection outside. I looked them up as well on Angie's and they seemed to be well spoken of. I went ahead with the work but in hindsight I wondered if I shouldn't have shopped around a little bit more. Although they do give you an estimate, I didn't anticipate spending $1000 for outdoor outlets. What they put in is a very nice protected outlet.It has a nice covering and a nice connection to the indoors. I just didn't realize what I might be spending for that function. They were very professional and did exactly what they said they were going to do. It was on 2 separate occasions. The second time they brought an additional gentleman so there were 2 workers.

They're really good and very professional.

They are little pricey, but its good quality. It depends on the fixtures you pick out. I think they are fair, not over ally priced electrician, and responsive.

They have been very good. I have used them for a bunch of things. They are very reliable. They are good at what they do.

Martella is great from Cindy who usually answers the phone to Jose who provided estimates and then handled the work to John who provided estimates and advice re: the heated floor project. I have a few more projects in mind for them!

They are a family owned business and they are very professional and responsive to the customer needs.

They were fantastic. It was all fine. They came right out. It was a difficult job and they did it fine. I would use them in the future.

Yes it went very well. The nice thing about them is they have a pricing policy so you know what you are getting upfront. They have a price list which is very helpful. There are a couple things that we are almost ready to call, we are going to use them again. One person came out, and it took a couple of hours. This was one of the best experiences of any small contractor, household contractor.

It turned out wonderful. They're great. I would use them again without any hesitation. They did everything really well.

They are fabulous. I like them very much. They are fabulous, they saved me a ton of money. Their charge was phenomenal and again they saved me a ton of money. I think they were here the same day I called them, or the next day. I would use them again.

It's always gone exactly as expected, with a higher level of professionalism than I'm used to from most home contractors. In fact, once I started using them, about 10 years ago, I haven't called anyone else for electrical work.

It went well as always. We have used Martella Electric for many years. They are a three generation business. Always on time, clean, neat and respectful. I would totally recommend them for any electrical needs.

Electrician arrived very promptly, was very courteous, explained and showed problems, was sensitive to concerns about expense, efficient. Though he gave some concessions on costs & was apologetic for high cost, still has become a costly expenditure. Overall very pleased. Because of safety issue, I agree that work should be done. Probably excellent (A).

Electrician selected based on Angie’s List. Both times arrived on time, explained what they would do; completed work w/minimum disruption in house & worked in a professional manner & cleaned up when finished. Price was reasonable & they were pleasant.

I had only expected to consult about best solutions and get a quote for whole house surge suppression. I had researched the type of devices that might be installed. Terry showed up on time ready to install, holding the very device I had thought was the best choice- the highest end Eaton panel unit that can handle both internal and external voltage spikes. Terry was cordial, considerate and careful. The visit was informative about a number of issues to consider about the electrical system in our home. The work was done efficiently, and I must say, it was a pleasure.

Mark arrived both days right on time and performed wonderfully with all details. He traced the outside light circuit back to it's on switch which I was unable ro do myself. The second day Mark installed a new light with light in my downstairs bathroom which I don't think was an easy job as the newer fixtures are considerably larger than the original fans so the fixture opening had to be increased. The end result is that the new fan "looks" just like to old one I took out years ago. Martell's pricing follows a fixed price sheet for most services so you know what you will be paying before they begin. All in all, I am quite pleased with Marks services and with Martella. I will definitely be using them again when needed.

Martella was fantastic. They were on time and their workmen were very professional and exacting. They completely explained what they were going to do, how long it would take, and who would be working the job. They cleaned up every day, were on time each morning and made a difficult and potentially messy job, a breeze. They removed the old wiring, rewired all of the ceiling lights and baseboard outlets, fixed broken gfi outlets in wet areas and fixed a bunch of the breaker connections that were double tapped. These guys are worth every dime you pay them.

I explained that I had a 1,300-square foot house (about the same size as the house he was working on), and that about 30% of the house was still knob and tube. He handed me his card to call the office, and said that a job like that could cost $25,000 or $30,000. Really? I hadn't mentioned that I already had a written estimate from another electrician for $6,700 (which included plastering, patching, and painting) and a verbal estimate from another for $5,000. I wonder why he mentioned such a ludicrous rate, given that I told him the size of the house and that it was a small portion of the electric. Was it because I'm a woman, and he thought he could get away with such a ridiculous statement? I realize there are lots of great reviews here, but I will never hire this company.

Jose arrived on time. Company had sent prior email with name/photo for security. Jose was professional, informative and efficient. Cleaned up carefully.

We had the good fortune to work with Matt Sarnecky on our recent projects. Matt was punctual, hard working and highly informative. We learned that our outside electrical connection had most likely been severed when work was done several years ago on a well/pump issue. Matt brainstormed to come up with the most cost effective solution to install and protect a new electrical line. We also worked with him to install pathway lights and particularly appreciated his honesty and consultative approach to lights that we had previously purchased inexpensively from a big box retailer. We ended up going with higher quality lights that not only look awesome, but will last for years. Besides the external fixes, Matt also swapped some internal fixtures, including drilling and hanging a new chandelier. We were highly satisfied with all of the work that was done, and would highly recommend Matt and Martella to others without hesitation. Additionally, Kathy was also wonderful and responsive in getting our many projects scheduled!

The light fixture wasn't broken I simply had a series of bad light bulbs. Since I had an electrician in the house, I asked him to check and repair a table lamp. I have used Martella since 2002. I really like the company and the electricians who have come to my house. I just find them, based on my last service, to be very expensive.

They addressed a number of issues that an inspector identified as items that needed to be repaired under pending house sale. I've used them before for light installations and other electrical work. Called them in for this job since we are selling the house and needed this right. Can't rave about technician Matt enough. So professional. On time. Explains issues. They are not the cheapest electrician co. but honest and attention to high-quality detail.
