You cannot find a better, more thorough and diligent electrician. They are a bit pricey, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Outstanding customer service, outstanding attitude, outstanding work. I am VERY meticulous about the quality of work in my house and very detail-oriented (to a fault). Martella is hands down the BEST electricians I have ever worked with. 1950s house with a bunch of patchwork renovations (an electrician’s nightmare). Had an attic fire that started because an old attic fan overheated. Needed to replace all of the electric running through the attic and feeding the 2nd floor to be replaced. Hired an "A-rated" electrician on this site before Martella. The original electrician botched the job, never pulled permit, and violated codes on multiple counts, failing inspection. Unable/unwilling to troubleshoot and fix. A real nightmare. Called around. Many electricians didn’t want to touch it because it required troubleshooting (not an easy one-off replace breaker, replace fan, run new circuit, etc). Martella came to the rescue. Step 1. Replaced panel (1 full day). Mark stayed until 8pm the first day to replace the panel and make sure power was restored to all circuits. If it was anyone else, they would have bolted at 4-5pm and left us in the dark, or left us with partial power. Step 2. Troubleshoot (2 days). Mark and Brian disconnected all connections in attic and systematically went through the affected rooms tracing out the feeds and runs from the panel. Trying to find the source of the issues. It was clear they were being very diligent and logical, and even thinking about the project and how to fix it after hours. [As a homeowner, I want someone who thinks about my job, even when they aren’t on the job. This is a good indicator that they care!] Step 3. Fix it (2 days). Run new circuits, fix all wiring in 2nd floor, and misc. small work to install new fan and switches. Mark, Brian, and Andrew Jr ran three new circuits and meticulously reconnected everything properly. All is working and better than ever! Beyond the high quality work, the manners were first rate. Everyone made sure to introduce themselves to myself or my wife when they would arrive. Checked in every morning and gave us the game plan. Checked out every afternoon and told us what remained. Incredibly kind to my family during the whole process, understanding of our anxiety about electrical system (given the fire started because of an electrical appliance) and went beyond to educate us on all the issues, the options to fix. I can not succinctly articulate how impressed we are with the quality of their work, and how grateful we are they helped us out in our time of need. I will not be using another electrician, ever. They are a bit pricey, but it is absolutely worth it (especially since most house fires are electrical fires!). If you have an electrical problem, and you aren’t sure who to trust, you should hire...Martella.

They ran a bit behind the first day I was scheduled but called to inform me and apologize. They were there the next day as promised. The gentleman was courteous, knowledgeable and recommended fixes to make my system safer. The were reasonably priced and offered an Angie's list discount and tried to keep the price down. I would hire them again. Thank you!

I’ve dealt with other electrical contractors in the past , I’ve always been unsatisfied across-the-board, with almost every contractor I’ve used, I’m very finick, , & I expect the job to be done right, on time, and for the right price Martello Electric exceeded my expectations in every aspect of professionalism ! Thank God there a company’s still out there like Martella electric !!! I can’t Express enough how I recommend this company to everyone !!!

Well, Had circuit breakers replaced (from the 70's) and all is well.

They showed up within the hour. They knew exactly what needed to be done, plus we had them do additional work. We have been their customer for over 40 years. very highly recommended

Mike came promptly when I first called, put one temporary light and switch in place, gave me an estimate to complete the job, and came back at a later date to replace all 6 lights and LED dimmer switch. We are very happy with the workmanship. Very professional and friendly. Also, Kathy from their office was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely use them again.

Unfortunately, although I was impressed with the reviews here, the responsiveness from Martella was sorely lacking. After an initial email contact, they responded promptly, but when I replied to them describing the work I needed done, it took three follow up emails from me over the course of weeks to get a response. We scheduled an appointment, and I took the day off from my job to be home for it. The morning of the appointment they called me and said the technician had an emergency and wouldn't be able to come. I understand - emergencies happen. However they were not able to fit me in again for a couple of weeks, and due to the previous delays in communication, I was not willing to wait longer. I'm sure they do fine work, but they need to work on their communication and not overschedule themselves.

Mark from Martella arrived a few minutes early and we got started right away. I walked him through the service needs inside and outside my home and he provided excellent suggestions to refine the plan. Upon completion of the walk-through, Mark explained the company guarantee of workmanship and the pricing (a typed menu of costs). An estimate was provided within a few minutes and the pricing was both fair and transparent. Given the volume of work quoted, the urgent tasks and repairs (chandelier, receptacle upgrades) were completed same-day and a follow-up visit with a two-man team was scheduled for 7 business days later. All work was done with care and professionalism that exceeded expectations. I will separately review the recessed lighting, ceiling fan, etc but already I am very happy with the work that Mark performed and my overall experience with Martella. I will definitely continue to use them for my future electrical and lighting needs, and would absolutely recommend them to others. Thank you, Mark and Martella Electric!

Martella did excellent work. They were on-time, very professional and did the work for a fair price. They installed a lighting fixture that bent slightly in shipping to our house. Their guys worked tirelessly to get the light balanced properly and made sure that it looked great before they left. They are perfectionists dedicated to making sure the customer is happy. We will use them for our electrical needs moving forward.
