Dear Mark, I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your company for the outstanding job completed on the patio. It looks wonderful and I was so impressed by the care and work that occurred throughout the week by the guys responsible for the construction. It was a pleasure working with your company and I have passed your name to others, the latest Salters Fireplace and Outdoor Furniture in Eagleville. We have just purchased furniture and have dealt with them regarding our interior fireplace. They are always looking for recommendations to pass along to other clients. The patio and walkway look terrific. We have already had neighbors and friends state how nice it compliments the house and how nice it looks. Watching the construction, gave me a real sense of the craftsmanship and what it takes to build something correctly. Thank you to Mark Jr. for the suggestion to complete the walkway. It would not have looked as great without that being completed. On another note, I would like to tell you how proud you should be of the men who worked on our patio. I cannot thank Thomas, Lupe and Ernesto enough. They are true craftsmen and left the project better than when they started. They were pleasant, responded to any question and truly were a pleasure having on site. I was so impressed with their quality of work, watching how meticulous they measure, cut and crafted out the patio layout and how personable they were while working on the project. They were respectful of each other and seemed to take pride in what they were doing. I hope you will acknowledge them and the work they do. I would happily have them complete any project at my home. Please note what quality you have in securing the employment of Thomas, Ernesto and Lupe.

Highly recommended. Very professional and friendly. They were accessible, responsive, and easy to work with. Expertly drawn plans of the project ahead of time (without charge). They were generally prompt in work completion and scheduling, and demonstrated a lot of flexibility in fielding impromptu requests. They also had great attention to detail with the work they completed. I'm looking forward to additional front yard projects in the future.

Mark Howarth and his crew were amazing! From the initial meeting to get an estimate to the final day, Mark was professional, helpful, patient, and expert. He was always available by phone or email. We are very happy with our beautiful patio which we enjoyed well into the fall. We look forward to moving outside as soon as the weather warms. Greenstone Gatdens is number 1 in our book!

Greenstone came when they said they would come and finished as quickly as mother nature allowed them to finish.

Mark Howarth was able to schedule the work almost immediately to my surprise. I gave specific instructions on what I needed done which were followed 100%. The pool deck needed to be extended so that new pool equipment could be installed before the pool season began. This also required replacing an existing homemade retaining wall and fence that would blend in with the existing pool deck hardscaping. The work crew was easy to work with and were able to complete the entire project in one week. I look forward to hiring Greenstone Gardens this year for my next outdoor project.

Started with wanting a wall along the front of my property. That project turned into replacing all the concrete sidewalks leading to and along the side and rear of the house with EP Henry pavers. The wall was also EP Henry product. The next year, I had them entirely regrade the backyard and resod the entire backyard. Each time, the owner (Mark) came out to give me an estimate. Some of the extra work they did was not on the estimate and I was not charged for anything additional. The team leaders are very professional and, for the most part, responsive to my calls. Because of weather conditions, scheduling can sometimes go awry, but they would always let me know if there was a delay in the scheduled start dates and would always let me know ahead of time when they were coming out. While regrading and sodding the backyard, they nicked one of my sprinkler lines creating a bit of a "swamp" after the spinklers were turned back on. They came back out, replaced the nicked lines and resodded the affected areas, all on their "dime". Almost all of management are related to each other (father, sons, daughter, nephew, etc.) which I think contributes to their wanting please the customer. I would definitely recommend them to anybody.

They did beautiful work!! Paver patio, landscaping and lighting looks awesome. They were very efficient and great to work with. Definitely will hire for future work.

Horrible. Would never hire again. Very disappointed. Front Walkway looks like crap.

Both Marks (dad and son) were fabulous! They were on the job to supervise (not all day) but enough to make sure the right work was done. Their crew is so knowledgeable and polite - true experts with the machinery. They made sure to match the sod to existing grass in front of house. They even moved two peonies and shored up one of my pawpaw trees at no extra charge!! I can't say enough good things about them. Their references checked out too - totally consistent with my experience. I do plan to hire them again - have some more work on the sides and front of house to complete.

We chose Greenstone Gardens over other landscapers, because we liked the owner's explanation of the services he'd recommend and what they provide. He was very friendly and professional. They came out when they said they would, and did a good job removing the existing moss and poor lawn, adding new soil and grading it, and slit seeding the entire lawn. So everything up to this point, I would give them an A in all categories. But, the last step was to spread straw over the lawn to keep the seed down and to keep moisture in the lawn. They didn't bring enough straw and ran out, leaving many areas of the lawn barely covered at all. Okay, that's understandable, and I would still give them an A if they came back right away to put more down. The foreman said he would come back that evening and put down more straw. But he never returned, leaving our lawn without enough straw to prevent the new soil and seed from washing away. That night and the next morning we received a very heavy rain. The rain washed away a lot of the seeds and new soil. I could see it running off our lawn, into the driveway, and down into the street. So I called the foreman that morning and left a message, telling him that it was washing away, and that we needed more straw. But the foreman never returned my call. I had to call the foreman several more times, and finally called the main office number. Instead of the owner of the company taking over and fixing the problem, he kept having us deal with the foreman, who wasn't very helpful. Finally, after talking with the owner, he got the foreman to come over and put down more seed and straw in the areas in which it had washed away. Of course, that was a few weeks after the original seeding, so we had to continue watering three times a day and waiting to mow for an additional few weeks. So, in summary, the original work they did was very good, but they ruined it by not putting enough straw down, failing to come back to put more down, not answering our calls, and by the owner requiring his foreman to handle the issue instead of fixing the problem himself. In the end, the lawn turned out pretty well. I just don't understand their lack of responsiveness. For what I paid, I think we deserved a little better service.

Their performance was stellar throughout the entire project which took about 2 weeks. All material used was E.P. Henry manufactured products. Everyone was very honest and personable. Mark Sr. gave the initial estimate ($22,500) and was very helpful with design ideas. Mark Jr. stopped by daily and continued to monitor every detail. Antonio showed he is a master of his craft and ran the job seamlessly. Steve and Sean were part of the work crew as well. They all worked together like a well oiled machine. Unfortunately, they discovered I had an unexpected but serious drainage problem which required a large drainage pit and underground pipes leading to it which Greenstone Gardens was well equipped to handle. This added $3,100 to the job. We also increased the dimensions of one set of steps adding another $900. It only took a few days to realize I did not need to be present every moment of every day. They showed pride in their workmanship and that they are committed to upholding E.P. Henry standards. They also backed their workmanship for 3 years. There was one thing that caught me off guard. It rained a couple of days before the first day of work. Because there was so much mud Mark Jr. ordered 16 ton of large stone to line the bottom after digging out. I just thought this was part of the job done and was not aware this added another $1,500 more until I wrote out the final check. Because they showed such integrity during the installation, I attributed this to a miscommunication. I would hire them again in a second and would tell anyone NOT to think twice about hiring them.

They arrived when promised, worked in some terrible, terrible heat and humidity, and got the job done on time and to the estimate. They found a water pipe where none should have been (and due to other metal in the yard there was no way they could have detected it), but called in a plumber and made sure it got fixed the same day, and at no charge to me. They were professional and polite throughout. Even the neighbor raved about their work and the result! I would absolutely hire them again.

This is the 2nd time we have used Greenstone and they are great. Mark came out quickly and provided the estimate on the spot and ordered over 100 flowers and plants on our behalf. Joe and his crew are very professional, did a great job, and are very easy to work with from transplants and change orders on the fly. They even uncovered some drainage issues and walked me through best options for the repair. The Henry cobblestone cuts were great with some difficult angles. The yard looks absolutely great and we'll use them a 3rd time if anything comes up. Before and after pictures attached.

It went very smoothly. Mark and Laura were responsive to our inquiry and requests. Joe was so accommodating and helpful. When work began, the channel the workers chalked off was not exactly where we thought it would go. It was moved without any issues when we redirected to the area we desired. We were not home for most of the work. Joe took pictures, texted them to us and called us so we were able to make informed decisions. So helpful! Would hire them again for any future needs.

On the initial visit, the owner came out to give me an estimate and was able to provide one at the end of the visit. While the handwritten estimate was a little difficult to read, none of the other companies that provided estimates for the job were able to provide one this quickly. After signing a contract and placing an initial deposit for purchase of materials, Greenstone's designer came out to develop a planting plan. Greenstone's employees came out several times following the contract completion, and the people I talked to were very helpful in answering my questions and working with me to make sure that the design was to my liking. I had to wait several weeks for the lights I chose to arrive, so the work did not start right away. It was difficult to contact Greenstone for updates by phone or email, but eventually I found that they were most responsive to text messages. Once the work started, there were enough people on the job to get the work done in a day and a half. I appreciated that they were willing and able to reuse many of my existing plants or to replant them in another bed. The final garden was a little different from the planting plan as they found they had estimated for more plants than would fit. However, they didn't charge me for any of the unused plants. The completed gardens and side step look great. There was a fungus problem with several of the plants that became evident after a few weeks. Greenstone came out and replaced these plants with no problem.

They weeded, put mulch down and cleaned up the gardens. They were right on time.

I was so happy with the job Greenstone Gardens did in my front yard. We have a difficult area to landscape due to the enormous tree in our yard, so we decided to put in a taller retaining wall, a curb divider between us and the neighbors, and ground cover. Mark came out to give us the estimate and was punctual and quick. The only place where I'd say there could be some improvement was in office communication. Once we emailed Laura to accept the job, we never heard back with a confirmation or start date until I emailed to check a few weeks later and found out we were scheduled for the following week. Very glad I checked in, but that's the only spot I could give for improvement. Joe was in communication with us once the job started regarding any issues or questions and made sure the job was completed to our satisfaction. The job was completed quickly and our neighbors even commented about how quiet they were when working in the early morning. Every time I look outside, I am thrilled with the new beautiful wall and the plants that I know will grow into a nice ground cover around our tree. I'm so happy and thankful I found this company as it's so hard to find people who do good work for a reasonable price and follow through to completion. Thank you Greenstone!

I can't praise Greenstone enough! Mark Sr. Came to do our initial quote and not only was he on time but he was EARLY! The price quoted was almost exactly what we expected to spend. They are extremely responsive, and the crew showed up on time as expected. The other positive is your crew is dedicated to you and only works one job at a time. Therefore they can easily meet the estimated timelines. The crew was friendly and cleaned up every day before they left, and the quality of their work is fantastic! Anything they had to do differently than planned was explained to us (Mark Jr was our "foreman") in detail ahead of time, for full transparency. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Greenstone did a great job. We loved the finished product and are looking to have them come back to help us with some other things. The weather pushed our time line back but the crew did a fantastic job and worked very hard to get things done.

Everything went well until the end. Some plants were incorrect and it took many many requests for them to come out and redo them. I am still left with a dead shrub. We spend $20,000 and for the silly price of a single shrub, couldn't they just replace it and make us happy. I guess not. They acted as if it was our fault and we were such a hassle to them.

I love it (the patio). The work they did was really good, but they were a little bit careless with the backhoe -- they ended up cutting our sewer line and our Fios line so we had some problems. They made it right and everything. I was kind of undecided about them and how I felt about them. Their price was very good. They actually finished under schedule. It took them less than two weeks to do the work. Four or five people worked on the job to complete it. I think the cleanliness after they finished was good.

What makes them stand out far above the crowd is their landscape designer John. Not only is he incredibly knowledegable but his creativity far exceeded all others we interviewed. The execution of the project was seamless and professional. Always speak with several firms but don't hesitate to choose them.
