Pat and his team did an excellent job from start-to-finish. Early on, he helped us understand our options, costs of different materials, etc. During the project they were on-time, did a professional job and cleaned up nicely.

He was very fast and prompt. He got right back with me with an estimate.

Was very satisfied with the results. Got 4 estimates and DIO was not the lowest (second lowest), but the lowest estimate didn't want to remove the existing driveway while the other three thought it was neccessary so we decided the lowest estimate wasn't credible and went with DIO. We were pleased at the workmanship as the driveway looks good and there was attention to detail along the edges where it came against the house and where there were some turns. Job was done in a timely manner as well and a followup call was made to see how we felt about it. They didn't require down payment either, which was nice.

We felt the price of $700 was high for the patch and sealing, however, Penn Paving did a very good job of cutting out the cracked area and patching. He also patched a large section on the other side of the driveway at no additional cost. The seal coat was done by hand and very professional. We were very satisfied with the results and their work ethics and would recommend Penn Paving to our friends.

Although we did not use Dio Construction for our driveway repaving, we had a very positive experience with Anthony Dio. I called to get an estimate and Anthony returned the call within a few hours and scheduled to come out later the same day. It was late on a Friday afternoon when he arrived and he managed my expectations by advising that I would not have the estimate until Monday which I received as promised. Anthony was quick to follow-up on my questions regarding the proposal and it was a tough decision not to use him as both my bids were from very reputable, professional contractors

They did the job well and they showed up on time. They completed the job the same day they said they would complete it.

DIO Construction did an excellent job. Anthony came out on a Saturday to provide us with an estimate, which he sent via email the following week. The work was to completely excavate the existing driveway, front walkway, and stoop and lay new forms and concrete for the walkway and asphalt for the driveway. We accepted the estimate in early April and were told that the work would likely be completed by early May, weather-permitting. They arrived first thing in the morning on Monday May 2 to start the excavation (having called us that weekend to give us a heads up). On Monday they excavated, on Tuesday we had a new walkway and stoop, and by Friday we had our new driveway. (It rained Weds and Thurs). The team was extremely professional and took care to not damage more of the area around the driveway and walkway during excavation than absolutely necessary. They performed all services exactly as described, with excellent quality, and in the timeframe it was promised. The actual cost was the same as the original estimate, less the 5% Angie's List discount. Our new driveway and walkway look absolutely wonderful and we would recommend DIO Construction to anyone looking to have this type of work completed.

The crew behaved professionally and did an excellent job. The new driveway looks better than I could have imagined. It looks so good that a neighbor pulled her car along side the driveway to write down the name and number of the contractor (whose name was printed on a sheet of paper on the line that blocked cars from pulling in while the asphalt sets). I hope she gives him some business, he certainly deserves it. Mr. Dio also gave us a booklet on how to care for our driveway, which will extend its life and cost us less in the long run.. He was polite and gracious and sincerely appreciated the business.

He was good. He didn?t include the charges for removing the debris and stone. He gave a discount for being Angieslist member. He was courteous. There was nothing wrong with him, but we chose another company.

They were great! They went above and beyond. They saw that we needed a deeper than usual pour of the asphalt. They went ahead and did it, and didn't charge us extra. I don't have anything bad to say about them. There was nothing wrong with their service. I got a few quotes, and their price was good.

I recently moved to the area and I live on a busy road. My driveway entrance had quite a few potholes that had been getting worse from trying to pull out fast into traffic. I called a few companies from Angie's List for estimates. Anthony from Dio Construction returned my call the next business day, and stopped by in between jobs to size things up for an estimate. He emailed me that night and his price was very reasonable in comparison with the other estimates I received. He gave me a few days notice, showed up early and went over the details with me before he did the work. When I got home that night I had a smooth, brand new entrance to drive over. I would highly recommend Dio Construction for any driveway work and I would definitley use them again. They are professional, courteous and their work is top quality.

Dio was very quick to come out and give us an estimate. They were the only company who actually provided a paper copy of an estimate to us. When we booked them, they came out within a couple of weeks. The job had to be done in two parts. The concrete sidewalk had to settle before they could finish the asphalt. Only about a week and a half went by before they came back to finish the job. Their price was about average, but they were prompt and they did exactly what they said they would do. That's more than I can say for the competition I dealt with.

Everything went very smoothly from the start. The communication was excellent, and Anthony always returned calls when he said he would. The crew are excellent, and had the old driveway peeled up in no time, and then went to work grading everything perfectly to make the steep incline more gradual, and to direct rainwater to the correct places. They ran into some clay under the old driveway that would have undermined a new driveway if it were left in place, and went above and beyond to dig it out and replace it with good base material. The finished product is outstanding, and we couldn't be happier!

Everything went smoothly. All debris removed the same day it was created. My property was kept in good order by the workers. Dio's employees were professional and courteous. They were very competent in doing the work.

Dio was quick to do the work, was easy to work with. I would use them again.

I felt their materials and coating process was not as good of a match for what I was looking for. I felt it wouldn't have lasted as long as other methods the other companies I looked into provide.

They were punctual and gave us an estimate. They stuck to the estimate. They did very well and it was a very positive experience for us.

DIO returned my call seeking an estimate quickly, came out that same day to look at my driveway, was forthright in their evaluation and provided a competitive estimate. When hired they scheduled the work quickly and completed the work in two days. The quality of their work is excellent.

Basically, it went well, but with some disappointments. Work seems to be good quality, but rather expensive compared to other asphalt work done recently in the neighborhood. The estimate specified a layer of asphalt approximately 10' wide by the width of the driveway. I presumed that meant the entire width of the drive, but it is a shared drive, and the work was done only on our half of it. That only our share of the drive would be treated was not spelled out in the estimate, but then I didn't ask for clarification, so I didn't feel I had grounds to complain.

Proposal received within about 1 week. Work was completed in 2 phases (demolition and grading, then repaving) so that the finished driveway would be more stable. The owner (Pat Dio) let us know what he was doing at every step of the way, and the quality of the work and the attention to detail by him and his crew were excellent. Absolutely no issues and I would not hesitate to use them again.

All our interaction was with Pat, the owner of the business. He personally estimated, laid the job out, operated machinery and directed his crew. The entire crew was prompt, neat and very considerate. For example, they made a point of not tracking dirty shoes on the fresh blacktop or on any walkway. We were a bit indecisive about possibly including a Belgian block edge on one side of the driveway. After trying a few stones, we decided we would not go for the blocks. Pat was very understanding even though he had brought all the extra materials which ended up not being used. We think the resulting driveway improves the whole front aspect of our house. Others seem to like Pat's work as at least two of them asked Pat to look at paving their driveways! Pat's price was very competitive right off the bat; we had gotten three quotes. Pat is direct and to the point but patient and willing to work with customer concerns. We were very satisfied and recommend Dio.

I GOT BIDS FROM 4 COMPANIES. I ASKED FOR REFERENCES FROM ALL OF THEM. I VISITED ALL THE REFERENCES TO ASSESS EACH COMPANY'S WORK FOR MYSELF. I CHOSE DIO BECAUSE THEIR WORK HAD THE BEST FINISHED EDGES, TIGHT EDGES SO SEEDS AND ICE WOULD NOT GET INTO CRACKS AND CAUSE BREAKDOWN OF THE SURFACE. THEIR ESTIMATE WAS NOT THE LOWEST BUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK WAS DEFINITELY THE HIGHEST. AND THERE IS NOTHING MORE EXPENSIVE THAN HAVING TO HAVE WORK DONE OVER, SOMETHING I WANTED TO AVOID! SO, I CHOSE DIO. PAT DIAGUARDI GAVE ME A CONTRACT WITH A PRICE AND A SHORT, ACCURATE, WRITTEN DESCRIPTION OF WHAT WE HAD TALKED ABOUT. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME. THEY WERE POLITE. THEY WORKED CAREFULLY AND STEADILY, WITH GOOD TEAMWORK. PAT DIAGUARDI IS THE OWNER, AND HAS CLEARLY BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS. HE IS THE EXPERT/TEAM LEADER AND RUNS A TIGHT OPERATION. HIS COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB!
