My great experience started with Krista who help me with making our appt and informing me about everything that would be done during the inspection. Krista was even able to recommend a pool company as we have never owned a pool before and did not know what needed to be done with it. Joe from comfertspec was amazing. Being first time home owners there where a lot of things we were unsure of. Joe walk us through everything, explaining all the way. Upon our arrival Joe was already there scoping things out. Both Krista and Joe were very knowledgeable and professional at all time. I would highly recommend using comfertspec.

Everything was thoroughly explained to us as Zee moved through each step of the inspection. Zee was extremely professional and was genuinely interested in making sure that we knew how the systems in the house worked and where they were located. He pointed out existing deficiencies, things to look out for in the future, and features of the home that were good selling points. The company provides a 100-day warranty on their inspection and also checks for recalls on all major appliances. They give you a binder describing the work they do, along with additional information regarding home up-keep and safety. We received the results of the inspection in a report form (with pictures and clear descriptions) in less than a week and the report results were conveniently posted on-line for us and our realtor to review and download. In summary, we were really impressed with their work and would absolutely refer Zee and this company to others.

ComfortSpec delivered an in-depth buyers home inspection that wowed us. Jason, the home inspector, survived every inch of our newly acquired Pocono home. First Jason was on the roof, then he surveyed the exterior of the building, Jason even stopped and filled penetrations with caulk as he completed his exterior survey. Next, he crawled through the attic. Then, Jason examined every nook and cranny inside our new home. Jason even checked ever appliance to ensure they had not been recalled for safety issues. After two hours, and many test later, Jason provided us with a Home Owners’ Manual that educates you on how your new home works, how to maintain your home and how to save energy in your new house. The home owners’ manual also covered every test that was conducted with the regulatory requirements for those inspections. If that wasn't enough customer service, ComfortSpec then wowed us and provided the Home Inspection report by the end of the day. Because of ComfortSpec comprehensive Home Inspection Service program we moved forward with the purchase and my family and I now know we have a well-built mountain home that is safe and sound to live in. By far, this was truly one of the Best customer service experiences we have ever received. Thank you ComfortSpec for making this important Home Inspection experience a breeze. Our appointment was scheduled for 12pm. I always like to arrive 15 to 20 minutes so I got there at 1140am. When I rived Joe was already there. He had the house open and was preparing for the inspection. I am a first time homeowner so Joe took his time showing me around the house and noting important items I would need to know. He was very friendly and knowledgable. I received my inspection report later that night. I have read many reviews on this company and Joe more specifically and they are accurate. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Jason showed up early and performed all inspections covering water, sewage, roof, and so much more. Being a first time home owner he explained everything with the utmost patience. The also offer other services such as pest control which I was not aware of and will certainly hire for in the future. Great attitude, great response time, and a great price! Thank you!

UPDATED REVIEW (05/28/14): I'm updating my original review of this company (dated April, 2014) because... THE DAY my husband and I closed on our new home we found a leak in the kitchen faucet when I was doing the basic task of washing dishes. This leak was missed by ComfortSpec inspectors, Jason and Brooks. That leak turned into a MAJOR issue requiring us to pay $10,000 to fix (We had to hire a contractor to fix the leak; to access the pipes, sheet rock had to be removed.) Contractor discovered cracks in the wall, which had been moved 2", and foundation -- which sooner rather than later would/could have collapsed and become an even bigger problem. We filed a claim with ComfortSpec and it was denied, nit-picking whatever in order not to have to pay anything and make good on their "guarantee". So basically, THEIR GUARANTEE IS WORTHLESS. They accept no responsibility. Liability is all on you. Another issue we are now dealing with is that the deck, which ComfortSpec said was "fine," is actually rotting and needs to be replaced entirely! Another huge expense for us. If either of these issues had been brought to our attention (as they should have been in a house inspection), we probably would NOT have purchased the house. BOTTOM LINE: INSPECTION BY COMFORTSPEC WAS USELESS. Also, we didn't get the $25 reimbursement promised from them for our joining Angie's List and providing a review. Big Surprise. ************************************** Comfort Spec was recommended to us by a friend and we were more than pleased with their courtesy, service and professionalism. We are first-time home buyers and were able to schedule our inspection on the date we needed without having to ask for an extension to our contract. Jason D'Amato and Brooks were simply terrific. Unbeknownst to us, the sellers and their agent were present during our inspection, which made it tough for the inspectors to have any sort of private or candid conversation with us, their client; however, Jason and Brooks were professional and discreetly pointed out issues to us without fanfare. The reports we received from Comfort Spec are easy to understand and offer suggestions of what specifically needs to be done to address all issues of concern in their findings. Additionally, they provided us with a handy binder with more information than we know what to do with, but are sure to find useful once we are in our new home. Comfort Spec's services go beyond the 1-day inspection and reports received, and Jason offered assistance at any time after we move in stating we could reach him via email or by texting him. This is very reassuring. We know we are in good hands and already have a necessary resource in the community. Without a doubt we highly recommend Comfort Spec to prospective home buyers, and Jason and Brooks were top notch. THANK YOU!

Both Jason and Krista are excellent. I have used them in the past and i am still using them for their pest control services. They are patient and always answer every question I have... which there were many. On the day of inspection, there was a snow storm so Jason ran me thru the important stuff so I could leave since I had a long drive ahead of me. His Inspection reports were emailed to me the next day. We had Jason come back to shock the well and to do a pest treatment. He also returned to show me the important features of the house and went over his inspection reports.

Excellent. Jason is friendly down to earth and obviously a consummate professional. I learned so much from him while following him around during the inspection and really appreciated the opportunity to work with ComfortSpec. The reports were available lightning-fast and were expertly prepared. Couldn't say more positive things about the experience!

Jason from ComfortSpec arrived right on time. He was prepared to conduct his inspection from roof to basement. Although he could not perform some of the inspections due to listing agency errors, he did everything he could, including climbing onto the roof with his ladder, accessing the attic and a complete checklist of items I would never have thought of. He did respond back to the property on several occasions afterward in order to complete the inspection. This was due to the listing agency again ("the water is on" when it wasn't) resulting in delays not attributed to Jason or ComfortSpec. Once completed, we received a professionally prepared report, complete with photos, explanations, suggestions, etc. I feel that ComfortSpec went above and beyond what they wee contracted to perform. Everyone from the office staff to the inspectors themselves were professional, helpful and courteous. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a qualified home inspection.

Home inspection is always a great chance for a buyer to learn everything there is to know about a new house. Jason was very thorough and went over all the findings explaining details. Jason was patient with questions and through when it comes to paying attention to signs and problems. The report provided by Jason was full of details as well. Report was submitted the same day. Customer service skills are great. No issues with payments, no delays. Overall, great experience. Recommend Jason to all who is on the market to buy a new home in East Stroudsburg, PA and areas around it.

Jason was very professional and pleasant. He was very methodical about his inspection. When he found an issue, caulking need on roof line, he showed it to both the owner and myself. He brought us both around the home and showed us a few minor concerns to explain the concerns to both of us. Both the owner and I were very surprised that Jason fixed the caulking on the roof himself. I would definitely recommend him to anyone purchasing a home in the Poconos.

Jason took my husband around and pointed out a few minor issues with our roof. There was no problem now but if we didn't fix it now, in a few years it would become a problem. Jason took the time to explain how our septic system works as we had never owned a house with a septic system. He even explained to myself and our girls what can and cannot be put down the toilet and sinks. His report was so informative. He truly works for the homeowner. The owners wanted a copy of the inspection report too but Jason asked for our permission before giving them a copy. My little one even got a certificate guaranteeing our new house was "monster" free. It still hangs in her room! Plus we get a monthly email of any recalls on our appliances. ComfortSpec definately works for the new homeowner! I recommend him highly!

Jason from Comfortspec did an outstanding job. He was prompt for the appointment and the turnaround time on the report was fast. He was thorough in his inspection, answered all of my questions and was able to help me understand the concerns. He really seemed pleased to help. I am thankful for the time Jason took to talk with us about a potential problem with water in the basement. He showed us some of the signs of a past leak and discussed some of the possible issues with the property that may have contributed to it and how it could be improved. It turns out that he was right and we were able to correct the situation. I am happy to recommend Comfortspec to anyone needing a home inspection.

We used this company for our last home inspection and they saved us from buying a money pit. We rehired them for today's inspection. Once again, the inspector was prompt, efficient, very knowledgeable and incredibly detailed. I absolutely reccommend this company!

I contacted ComfortSpec for our home inspection when it was one of three companies my realtor suggested. Something about the website made me very comfortable so I decided to use them. When I met Jason at the home I was accompanied by 3 other people. Jason had to field questions from all of us and did so with a smile. I watched as he went over all areas of the home thoroughly and if there was a problem or suggestion he told me about it and also wrote it in the report. I felt very comfortable with Jason and the job he did. One thing Jason did was give me a plaque for my young son saying he checked for monsters under the bed and in the closet and all is clear. As a parent that little thing will be a big help to my son when moving into the house. I would highly recommend ComfortSpec! ****after being in this home for 2 1/2 months we found a major issue ComfortSpec missed the is a roof leak that has had to be going on for a while because when we got someone to come out and fix the leak they almost feel through the roof because the spot was so soft. I contacted ComfortSpec and they said there is a 90 day warranty but that warranty started the day of the inspection which was done 1 month before settlement so we were about 2 weeks past the warranty period. PLEASE ignore my review above do not use this company unless you want to pay for missed things. ******
