Went online to get information to start using their services as a new customer and received an online quote. However, being skeptical about online quotes, I also called the Customer Service. I was shocked that the online quote for new customers was $273 for the year and the Customer Serivce Quote for the year was $460. Asked why the difference, was told that charges for new service when requested online are waived yet to call in there is a charge. This made me feel very uncomfortable and that I would be subject to bait and switch down the road with increased charges my second year or having to hassle to get the online quote when I receive the first bill. Also, did not like that their website did not contain a phone number to speak to a representative so I had to hunt to get their telepone number. Also, the Customer Service representative did not suggest that I sign-up for service online to save money thus not a Customer Advocate. I want a company who will treat me as a valuable customer not a money tree. They lost a new customer because of these traits. I will stick with my current vendor Econo-Haul, even though slightly higher than the new customer online rate, the fact that their phone number is on the website, no telephone tree to have to go through, and extremely pleasant customer service representative and very flexible - also no extra charges for large bulky items - only phone call to prepare driver as to whether need 2 people to pick up item to put in truck and to make sure truck is large enough to take item and put out on regular trash day pickup no special arrangements. Econo-Haul also has 2 options for yard waste pickup and discount if pay full year in advance.

I had Waste Mgt service at my old home and was very happy with them. Experience after moving to bucks county was very different. Part of the service is to provide 2 - 96 gallon cans. One for recycle and one for trash. After 2 weeks, I had not received the cans, so I called to double check. I was told they should have been delivered, but the customer service person would check it out and call me back to let me know when they would be delivered. Those calls went on for 6 weeks with the same result. No cans... and not a single return phone call. I spoke with customer service, and the customer service supervisor, who also never called back after promising to do so within 2 days. When I called back I was told there was no supervisor there by the name given to me. I have no idea what the problem really was... but the "customer service" was so terrible that I never got a single return phone call... and the "supervisor" that I talked to evidently gave me a fake name. Each person acted like they really did not care... so I finally cancelled the service. When I cancelled the rep said he could understand why I wanted to do that after looking at the account history.
