The moving team called to let me know that they would be a little late (only 15 minutes) which was nice. The men that moved our furniture were very friendly and professional. They wrapped our furniture in wrap and blankets to help prevent scratches, etc. They knew how to move our sleep number bed and carefully wrapped our cabinet glass shelves. During the unpacking of the furniture in our new house, they were really good at putting the furniture back together and where we wanted everything. They were even careful on our hardwood floors. Now for the negative: 1. While putting the glass shelves into one of the cabinets, the worker stepped on one and broke it. Accidents happen though and he didnt try to hide it. He let me know right away. 2. They didnt remove the 70" tv from the boxing, so I didnt know that it was broken. i could turn it on but the screen was cracked and nothing came on the screen. I am sure that they left it in the box to prevent damage until it was to go onto the wall. It is my fault for not having them remove it for inspection. I'm out another $1500 but lesson learned. Overall, I would rate them 4 because they are very good and my negatives were not the norm, I'm sure.

Riverfront provides young men who are professional, move quickly, and work together as a team. JR visits your home to see exactly what you are moving and advises you how to save money - do you need one truck or more? We had an antique barber chair and they handled it beautifully. Khalil was the team leader and kept the entire move on course! We highly recommend them.

RFM was quick to respond and offer an in-person quote, he (JR) came to view our apartment to get an accurate quote. He told me a lot of the pitfalls of moving companies, which was nice, especially about movers are specifically trained to waste time to increase the time it takes therefore, increasing your price. However after we booked the day we wanted it was near impossible to get in contact with them again. Phone mailboxes were constantly full, email upon email went unanswered. Finally got hold of them two days before move to confirm. They arrived 15 min late which was okay. They started to move us, and they wasted so much time, it was the most inefficient system of moving, caught them just sitting around multiple time for 10-15min a time. One asked to use our bathroom near the end of the packing up of truck (obviously I obliged) 20 minutes he took. So JR was definitely correct about movers being trained to waste time and he's trained his staff to do the same. They left without telling me. They stopped for lunch between pickup and drop off which we were charged for. Then came the drop off. The slid boxes down our basement cellar doors because they were too lazy to carry them, hence breaking a lot of boxes marked "FRAGILE". They took chunks of dry-wall out by banging furniture into our new walls. Caught them again wasting time upstairs after we didn't see them for 15 minutes, asked them what they were doing and they said they had to take the legs off a dresser to get it upstairs (only problem is those legs don't come off, so again time wasting). They broke the back of our dresser. We checked the truck as JR suggested. They forgot some of our stuff was hidden. I would never recommend these people or use them again.

I will use them again. No hidden costs or extra charges. Very pleasant to work with, The owner is very involved with his staff.

Great spirit, quick and efficient

They are hard working men who did the job quickly and therefore reasonably. Their only limitation is that they don't have knowledge of antique furniture. I had some very minor damage which they immediately repaired. They are an excellent choice for people with ordinary moving needs.

I moved from Fairmount to East Falls with this company and am still waiting(seven months) for a refund of $ 100 after being charged for an extra hour. In spite of numerous contacts with the office, I have not been satisfied.

Not only was the first call responsive, but they were able to move me THE SAME DAY! JR was up-front, no-nonsense and very accommodating. The crew was friendly, efficient and professional. Everything about the experience, especially given my circumstances, was amazing. I would highly recommend! You only pay for what you actually need! I couldn't thank RMS enough for bailing me out and doing so with so much professionalism and kindness!
