Description of Work: Initially needed gutters and downspouts replaced, but after an inspection by Ted who saw dips in the back roof confirmed by the photos he took I decided to have the roof replaced. Ted even went into my attic to look over the sheeting and saw that there was moisture on some of the sheeting panels. When I decided to replace the roof he was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The following week Dan and crew arrived right on time at 7:30am and completed the entire roof which included removal of the old shingles and plywood sheeting, installation of the new roof and cleanup after. The job was excellent and efficient. The next day the gutters and downspouts were replaced which was also an excellent job. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Description of Work: I had a roof leak in one of my bedrooms on a Sunday and I called A BROOKS CONSTRUCTION INC on Monday morning to give me an estimate. They charged me 50 dollars for the estimate but at least they were able to get out on the same day. The person that came to provide the estimate was on time, courteous, and very professional. I found the price for the work that needed to be done was a little high, but I choose them to do the work because other roofers I called could not meet my time schedule. Some of the other roofers I called did not make the schedule appointment I made with them, or even called to let me know they couldn't make it. So the choice to go with A BROOKS CONSTRUCTION INC was made easy because they were prompt in all their correspondence. When it came time to do the work they were there on time and finished the working promptly. Everything to that point had gone perfectly, but I only complaint at this time is I was not given an final invoice. I was promised a final invoice with pictures of the work done in an email, and I have yet to receive it. I have requested for this email twice with no success. My concern is I like to see the work that was done, and if what they charge agrees with the estimate I was given. I gave the rep of the company my credit card to pay for the work so I am not yet aware of the charges. Finally it has not rained since the work was done so I can't really know if the issue was truly fixed.

Description of Work: Great work! Full roof replacement, new gutters, some water damaged repairs. In and out in 2 and a half days. Very good clean-up. Not the least expensive, but, due to research a friend put into roofing companies in the area, and, the job they did on his house, I believe they are probably best for the money.

+ -1 moreAfter couple days delay caused by inclement weather, they arrived early in the morning, removed the old roof, cleaned up the debris beautifully, and installed half of the roof. The next day they returned early again and finished the job. Their work was impeccable. No debris remained in the lawn, no damage occurred to any plantings, and the dumpster was removed promptly from my driveway. I found, though, that when I installed gutter guards under the shingles, on a short section in front of the house, that the angle was so steep that the water just ran off the guards, not into the gutters. I called, got a response the same day and the next day the installer arrived to look at the situation. He said that the fascia board had been installed a bit too high. I had not noticed that when I put on the last roof, but he installed a new, aluminum gutter guards with a different design in the gutters under that section. Problem solved and at no cost to me. A few days later, while working in the attic, I noticed a very small leak around one of the sewer vent pipes. Again my call resulted in an immediate response and the next day the installer fixed that problem, too. While the price I paid for the roof was somewhat higher than others quoted, I am convinced that the quality of the work, the attention to detail, and the quick responses to my minor problem made this price a bargain. If I ever need any kind of roofing work done again, they will be my choice.
Description of Work: They removed the old roof, replaced one sheet of rotted plywood, installed water and ice shields along the eves and around all roof penetrations, installed GAF Deck Armor underlayment, installed 50 feet of GAF Cobra SnowCountry HipOver Ridge vent, installed 3 flexible sun tunnels, installed 2, 3-inch pipe boots and installed 20 squares of CertainTeed Landmark Dimensional Shingles as per my specifications.
