The technicians who came to do the preventive termite bait trapping and inspect and "animal proof" my home were very diligent and comprehensive. However, it took 3 weeks for a "certified" animal trapper to set the trap for the squirrel which had eaten its way into my basement through the drywall newly applied. And that was the reason I called Terminix to begin with! The trapper was diligent and professional but unable to meet my needs because his position (basic to the "animal control" service of the company) is so understaffed. Then, I was billed by a finance company for 10 years worth of coverage when I had paid in full for only 2 years. It took me 2 months to get an emailed copy of my contract and 4 months to get the incorrect billing straightened out after receiving collection notices and notes of credit report deficiencies. The branch manager refused to make personal contact with me throughout the whole process, simply responding to my voicemails with emails that "everything was fixed," only for me to receive another threatening collection notice the next week. It was a nightmare not to be wished on anyone.

When I initially called it was because I had a mouse in my wall, I could hear the scratching in the evening and it was unsettling. They were at my house within 2 hours of the call to sell me the service. I paid thousands of dollars for the service with a multi-year warranty. Now it is cold again and the scratching is back. The exclusion service was supposed to fix this problem. I have called to have someone come to my house and the local office never returns calls. I called the salesman who also did not return my calls. I called the 800 number and was told they would call me that day. When no one called I called again ans asked to speak with a supervisor. I explained the problem, there is a mouse in my wall and the exclusion service is supposed to have prevented this. She scheduled a tentative appointment for 2 days later with the understanding that they would call to confirm. They did call me back but only to tell me that my appointment is 3 weeks from today. This is not the first time I have encountered poor customer service from Terminix. They are quick to sell you their service but have no follow through to back up their warranty. I am sorry I entered into this agreement.

Description of Work: I have spend a lot of money with them for attic insulation, encapcilation in crawl space and insulation in crawl space. I have been well pleased until recently. I had the wildlife and rodent service that is supposed to have a 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed. My son saw a mouse go under the porch stair area and I called to have them come and address the issue. The inspector came out and said he told his manager about. It has been over 3 weeks and no one has contacted me to fix the problem. I will keep trying to call and get problem resolved but I feel the bridgeville manager should have contacted me. I was very pleased with their service until now. inspent over 2000 because they guaranteed to the work would keep rodents from coming in.

Terminix came out to resolve the problems originating from their installation from early February. I was getting no response until our case was finally transferred to the Regional Manager (Dan). He brought his crew lead (Paul) and Rob to evaluate and fix the problem of the dry insulation getting into our full house attic fan. We wont know if this fixed the problem, but at least they responded and took time to find a solution. (Price, is buyer beware; but at least the work is done right by folks who worked really hrd in tough conditions. Thanks, Dan & Paul! Lou M.

We were sold a very lengthy list of tasks that (Dan) deemed to be necessary. I am older, and physically limited due to degenerative condition in my feet & legs; my wife is legally blind, and she trusted me to find a service provider that we could trust. Bad decision. It looks like we may have overpaid, bigly! The crew that was deployed to my home worked hard. But I feel that they were given bad instructions and improper materials in order to complete the job, given the needs and use-flow of my home. We have a whole house attic fan for summer cooling and ventilation. We use the fan a lot, as well as using the attic space for extra storage of seasonal decorations and family treasures. The cellulose dust and material is blowing in the attic and into our living space, unabated. The blown cellulose insulation was installed 'dry'. It now blows around in the air of the attic and is falling through the vent slats of our whole house attic fan. The attic space is currently unusable, with the grey dust blowing around and falling into and through the fan This also makes my garage unusable because I now have to store all of the items in the garage instead of the attic, as originally intended. I am trying to get the Bridgeville Office of Terminix to come out and either apply some non-lethal binding agent that will not release any dangerous chemical gasses into our living space; the literature suggests that ammonium sulfate is released when water is sprayed onto the dry cellulose insulation material that was blown into our attic. We have called all of the service numbers listed for the local Terminix branch, but we have been told several times by the switchboard reps in Texas that the managers (Ed & Dan) are unavailable. I don't want to call my City Inspector or my attorney to resolve this issue without giving Terminix a chance to solve this problem, first. Obviously, we would like to avoid the costs and aggravation of a legal matter. But the bottom line is that I want Terminix to make my house livable again. 'Angie', please let me know what to do!

AWFUL!. I have been stood up 3 times (twice during the week, and once on a Saturday)! I have had atleast 10 random appointment changes by the company without adequate notification. I have spoken to a minimum of 10 "customer support specialists" who were very nice but totally ineffectual at handling the situation. Many attempted a band-aid fix without actually looking at what others have attempted to do before them. I feel that this company has no respect for the customer's time or money. I have never been treated so poorly by a company! I do not understand how Terminix feels this is acceptable. The 100% satisfaction guarantee is a joke!
Description of Work: After paying approximately $6,700 last year for insulation and wildlife exclusion, I was contacted in June of this year (2016) to begin yearly inspections to maintain my home's protection.

They call to check on stuff so I still use them. They came out last fall because it is an annual thing; it is part of the annual contract. They just emailed me saying they would be out the Wednesday before Thanksgiving between 1 and 3 in the afternoon. That is just not a good time. There were a lot of options but the timing just did not work in my schedule. That was the first time that has happened. In the past the scheduling has not been an issue. I have had them for a while. I have not seen any bugs in my house. They gave me a window of time and they came on the early end of the window.
Description of Work: Terminix came out this past fall. It was for pest control. They just did an inspection outside and inside of the house just to make sure there was nothing there that did not belong there.

We signed our paperwork electronically in August after our inspection in July. We had emailed our salesperson's Terminix email account multiple times with no answer. Finally - he touched base with us after we called the main Terminix number. He said that his work email wasn't working and asked that we use his personal gmail account. On 9/12, Don Lucas came to the house. He put stickers in the house. He told us that he did not have his auger (four people are sharing one auger according to him) so he could not put in the green stations (I asked if there were other colors - and was told there are not). He said that he would be back within a week to complete the job. I called Terminix on 10/10 - a month later - and the service representative said that it was strange that the stations hadn't been installed and she would send someone on Monday to do the job. On Monday, that salesperson (a different salesperson) called me to tell me that he was running late for my inspection. I explained that I did not need an inspection - I had just had one of those in July. I needed the green stations. He said that I would have to wait and see if I got the stations after his inspection (I was very frustrated at this point) - He then sent me an email after his inspection (I still didn't have the green stations) telling me that I was eligible for the inspection plan. I KNEW THAT ALREADY - I NEEDED THE GREEN STATIONS. That was why I had initially called Terminix! I called again and was told to contact my salesperson because he should never have told me that I was going to get the green bait stations - but I specifically said that was what I wanted when he came to our house the very first time in July. I tried again to reach Don (using his personal email) to no avail. In the email, I told him that without the green stations - I'd need to cancel immediately. I called to cancel tonight and had to leave a message. I have told my credit card company to dispute the 2nd payment that I made without getting any service. I initially left this out of my review - More than once, their main number disconnected me before I even go to someone. On 10/13 when I called, someone picked up and never said anything. I could hear a woman on another call with a customer, and then I could hear her complaining about the customer when the call ended. I kept yelling "HELLOOOOO" - to no avail. I ended up hanging up and calling back.

I am not pleased with Terminix’s service because you don’t know when they are coming. I stayed home a whole day on a Saturday and they never showed up. They never showed up after that either to inspect my home. I tried calling them a couple of times but I didn’t get anywhere. They were going to set up a time to come and never did. I would not recommend them.

The guy started by spraying himself in the face with poison (seriously). He spent about 5 minutes spraying around my house. He didn't spray in front of my house. He sprayed inside. It was a complete waste of money and time. None of the pests went away. Eventually Terminix refunded my fee of $180 but it took about 10 phone calls. Avoid this company at all costs!!

We searched around and had multiple estimates for a bat issue we have had for almost 2 years now. We hired terminix even though their price was a good amount more than the other estimates we received because of several reasons. The main one is the gentleman who came to our home was very experienced and knew exactly what we had to do. Little did he know i have done a whole lot of research on the issue before hand so it was nice to have someone who wasn't just trying to get a job. He advised us everything that needed done with great enthusiasm as if our home was his own and was a very charming character. We were able to set the work up to be started the next day after the inspection (which was perfect because my daughter couldn't sleep in her room because the bats kept getting through the attic entry into her room). The day of work that was done was done in great fashion and looked great. All in all was a pleasant time dealing with terminix and their workers.

1- They came to perform 2 services, attic insulation and wild life control. There representative is a high pressure sale man and after we sign the contact he told us he will contact us to schedule and he actually called us the next day to start. The job included alot of sealing and caulking outside and they perform it in subzero temp which I was not happy at all with that as I know for sure caulking can not be done in such temp. 2- They blow in cellulose insulation without placing soffit chutes which caused blockage in the soffit vents and developing of an ice dam just 2 weeks after they finish the job.when ice started to melt it caused damage to the garage celling, walls and the same in the powder room. This cost have been covered by insurance but the inconvenience they caused from March till late April till this damaged have been fixed can not be described in price. 3- We hired a roffer to fix the roof, there were no physical damage to shingles but we do have to tear it up, place a new ice guard, replace a damaged gutter and downspout. 4- In addition, when they blow in the insulation they did not inform us that the attic have to be air sealed first to avoid this carcinogenic material to escape to living place and we have to hire another insulation company. Boehmer heating perform our attic seal and add insulation to the insufficient work that have been done by termininx. For sure that was another big cost for us both financial and inconvenience. 5- After we finish all that we discovered they did not inspect one part of the roof ( that was part of the wildlife contract). This area was having significant gaps that require sealing and they did not and therefore carpenter bees nested there and caused wood damage that we will repair with our roofer. 6- Another area they ignored to inspect is one of the vents that they were supposed to cover it as they did with the other vents. As a result a bird nested there and we hired another professional to clean it and install a vent cover which was actually part of the termininx contact as well. Last but not least the inconvenience they caused can not be described, we have been working to fix the mess they caused since March.

Description of Work: I called to get an estimate for doing some work on my home because there was an animal in my wall. There was a gentleman who came to my house and was by far one of the best and most knowledgable persons i've dealt with. He was a wildlife specialist. He showed me the issues i had and i never would have known if it wasn't for him explaining it to me. Also during the inspection he found a large amount of termites in my home. I'm a very handy person as well as my wife but we are very busy people. He set me up to have an exclusion done to my home (animal proofing he called it) and so far so good. He removed the raccoons and had a crew of workers come out and had it all done within 2 days. It was a little expensive so i thought until i had another estimate the same day and terminix had way more knowledge and offered so much more. I would recommend anyone with a animal or termite issue to call them. The wildlife technician i dealt with was Daniel. I highly recommend if you have any animal issues he's the guy to do it.

They first sent someone to get rid of a raccoon in the attic. During this inspection he convinced me to install insulation in the attic. The attic door was not insulated properly and we detected significant amounts of warm air leakage with a thermal camera, but he came back to fix that. Chutes were also not installed on the soffit and this is apparently needed for proper ventilation. The improper installation caused a blockage and an ice dam to form. We have since reached out to a different company who have unblocked the soffit and installed the insulation correctly. In addition they air-sealed the attic as this was also not done before and we were told it would be a health hazard if it wasn't done.

I didn't have too many bug issues, and I didn't even have bugs prior to them coming, so I didn't see the total effectiveness of it.

Very respectful of my home. Very professional and knoledgeable and above all he has done everything he said they would and even went the extra step and helped me pull some things down from my attic after they cleaned,sanitized and reinsulated.
Description of Work: I called terminix because i was having issues with bats and raccoons in my attic. I had their lead wildlife specialist show up on time with a 30 minute courtesy call as i asked. He did a very thorough inspection of my home and walked me around to show me all of what he was talking about. I have to say they did a wonderful job. The price i paid was well worh the fantastic service and perfect work. They removed the animals very quickly and i can now say my home is a critter free home.

It went well. An inspection of my home for sale showed past termite damage. To sell, I had to show treatment for termites. This service provider was knowledgeable and helpful with this process. He used an outside system because of my young children in the home. The cost was about 1/2 what I would have paid elsewhere because he uses this strategy with home sellers to generate new business with the new home owners.
