I purchased a Maytag bottom-freezer refrigerator that I had found through Consumer Reports. It was the only bottom-freezer model that was highly rated and would fit in the space of my one bedroom condo kitchen. I found a white one at another local store Scratch and Dent -- I didn't want to pay full price -- but decided if I was spending that much I wanted to buy a stainless steel one. I began searching online for a Scratch and Dent one and found about four at Sears Outlets. The first one I found was in Virginia and the salesperson there was excellent. She sent me a photo of the refrigerator and she was very honest. However, since that one had a dent on the front and was still pretty expensive I went to the next closest which was Pennsylvania. The great thing is I found the model I wanted and it is a floor model so it doesn't have any scratches or dents but was priced at at least $500 off. Another good thing was that the delivery men were very polite and professional and accomodating -- they took off the door to fit it into my kitchen and put it back on and did the whole thing perfectly. I disconnected the icemaker since I didn't want to use it and they did that for me also. They changed the delivery time to accomodate my condo association rules. However I read other stories about buying through Sears Outlets and I think that there were two real problems. One is that Sears website is not quite there -- I could not purchase the warranty through the Outlet since I called ahead to discuss the product with the people at Bridgevale. I purchased it by telling these people about it over the phone. The Sears robot calls are flawed -- the prompts don't work, creating a sense of anxiety with such a high-price-tag purchase. However, there is another phone number which is 877-927-7957 and someone named Eric there at X16292 saved the day. He was able to change my delivery date and explained that they would phone the night before and tell me the time. They actually ended up giving me a window that was just two hours wide, pretty great, and they called fifteen minutes ahead and arrived at exactly the beginning of the window. The three El Savador guys who arrived were fantastic and I hope they are well paid. They were real pros and will take doors off or whatever is necessary. The other problem in addition to the website and the robot calls is the condescending attitude of the salespeople and manager at Bridgevale and insincerity. These guys seemed to be from the generation of men who don't know how to wash dishes -- when I asked questions (I am a middle-aged female and a savvy consumer) they were flip and tried to talk to me about football. The manager told me he would mail me the warranty as it cost $500 (I bought a five-year extended warranty) and I wanted to see it. I was not surprised when it never arrived, but when I called the website number the person there was great and she e-mailed me the warranty. So I am delighted with the purchase but I wish the commission of the guys at Bridgevale could be mailed to the lady at Virginia, Eric, and the website lady who e-mailed me the warranty, whose customer service was real and made the sale.
Description of Work: I bought a new refrigerator through the Sears Outlet, and I also purchased the 5-year warranty.

We found them to be the best deal after shopping around. They were good and delivery was good. But, I had to wait a long time and they got kind of confused when they were doing the final tallying.
Description of Work: I purchased a top loading washer and dryer and had them install it.
