Extreme Decks & Roofing

Extreme Decks has done a lot of work on my house over the last couple years. He and his workers are usually very prompt and they do good work! If there is any problem they bend over backwards to help make you happy. I had no issues but a fried of mine needed to tweak a few things on their covered porch which really added a lot of curb appeal to their home! My house had a new roof put on less than a week after contacting him! He had the time and did an excellent job. I broke down my rear deck into two jobs. The one was to take down my original deck and recycle as much material as possible and he raised it about a foot and added an additional 10' and finally we added a section to the deck that has a 8X15 shed. I use a wheelchair and the modifications allow me to enter and exit the deck from the kitchen and the shed with no assistance His modifications have greatly added to my quality of life and independence. I highly recommend Aaron from Extreme Decks and his workers. If I need additional work I will contact him first. He did an excellent job. Ours was a small job. It was done on a Sunday. He had two guys with him. The price was very reasonable. I was very happy with the work. He cleaned up all the nails , all the wood, all the scraps and made them go away. He was prompt.

Aaron Karas came within a day of my call to give me an estimate. He was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful The work was scheduled for the following week. The crew was punctual, professional, friendly and efficient. They did nice work and cleaned up afterwards. I am pleased with the work.

It was very quick and very painless. They got the job done in about 3 hours. They sent 3 guys out to do the job. The price was really good and they also cleaned up after themselves. I was really happy with them.

I can't say enough good things about Extreme Decks crew. The weather was fit for polar bears in parkas flying kites and these guys came out and worked ALL DAY though the weather. The shed was done exactly as we wanted it - it has windows and workbenches - it's got a 10 ft gabled roof, 10x12. It looks fantastic. In fact, it matches the Patio Roof they built on the back of our home over the summer. They put in a custom roof 16x16 for 8400. The roof is gabled with an open end. They installed 4 recessed lights and one chandelier/fan box. The crew are courteous, they work hard - really hard. The quality of workmanship is top notch. They clean up each day. Aaron (owner) will pick up the phone each time you call. Best prices I found after MANY estimates. I plan on hiring them to refinish my basement next year. It will be the third time I've used them. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that they are so busy, getting the job scheduled takes a little longer than you might like. But these guys are in demand for a reason. Highly recommend them for your home renovation projects.

While Aaron did respond to our initial call very quickly, that was the highlight of our interaction with him. He started by taking three phone calls while we were talking to him. He listened to our overall plan, showed us numerous pictures on his phone of decks he had built and gave us a verbal estimate right then and there with great confidence. We asked that he submit a written proposal for the two options we had discussed: a composite deck floor and a wood deck floor. My husband called and texted and was unable to get him to respond, except randomly with a suggestion that he might have some left-over decking that could be used in our project. When we asked about the color he said he'd send a picture but instead just sent pictures of more decks he had built. We tried again to pin him down on details and pricing. He and my husband set a date for the estimate(s) to be submitted and he missed that date and the next one. Finally, two weeks after the second deadline, he called to say he would be emailing the estimate, but we declined, telling him he was too late and we had already chosen another contractor. His finished products do look very nice in the pictures, but I question what he would actually be like to work with. I know other people have reviewed his work favorably so perhaps we caught him at an extra busy time and our project was not of interest to him.

Aaron"s crew built very sturdy well constructed stairs that are a pleasure to have on our bank. This bank is quite steep. The crew was on schedule, pleasant, friendly and professional. This experience exceeded our expectations for quality and professionalism. Aaron responded quickly to our initial request and was very professional in arranging this job. I can't say enough about Aaron and Extreme Decks and Roofing. I found them on Angie's List and they managed to fit me into their schedule. All calls and texts were returned within hours. I have never had a business in this type of trade be so responsive to me. Both the actual work and their interaction with me was professional. They actually arrived on the day that they said they would. Constant communication from Aaron about assuring I was happy with what they were doing. I could tell he was genuinely concerned about making sure I was 100% happy with their work. I am. Porch floor looks fantastic. I cant say enough about their work and professionalism. Pricing was very reasonable. They were even nice enough to return eight large porch columns (eight feet tall) back to the store for me that I had bought by myself weeks earlier from Lowes that were too short for the project.

contacted aaron in march of this year for a proposal for a 16x16 deck with roof attached to house and wanted it screened in. he was very professional, came right away and gave a fair and confident bid with wiggle room. was supposed to start end of may but didnt get started until august. it's the busy season and we weren't in too much of a hurry so it wasnt a huge deal. when he started, he apologized and knocked off $500 just for being a little late. sounds good. he even repurposed 2 sky lights in my kitchen and put in the new deck roof. a couple crews came by over the next 3 weeks. there was a week in august where we were pretty much rained out so i imagine it would have been done sooner. all said and done, the guys are very professional - fast - clean up after themselves - do quality work - and even give suggestions where appropriate. had one small gutter issue which they came back after a day or two and fixed it. we now have a nice screened in i'd hire extreme decks and roofs again no doubt.

Came in and turned the project around in a day, at a great price.

Aaron was very prompt to schedule an in-person estimate session as well as to begin construction. He handled all the paperwork and fees for our local building inspector (which is quite a chore I learned later obtaining these for a different project). His crew worked very fast, completing the deck in just a matter of days. The finished deck is both very sturdy, and beautiful to look at. I have no doubt it could handle any manner of furniture, pergola, etc if we'd decide to add these down the road. The stairs and railing are also rock-solid. The Fiberon Ipe was definitely our favorite color option of the composite samples we checked in Trex and Fiberon (Aaron offers both brands). Had we gone with pressure treated decking, his quote for that was very competitive as well. I would have no reservations recommending Extreme Decks to friends and neighbors (and I have).

They were awesome. He called us back the same day and I was really surprised. He came over within a day or two even though he is way outside of the city and gave us a quote and we just went with it. They were quick and they got it done in a week which amazed us. They cleaned up every day. There was something else we wanted done and I had to go through all my emails and every contact information to find out how to reach them again, we really wanted to work with them. We will reuse them and we would absolutely recommend them to people.

I got 5 estimates on this job. Aaron's bid came in at the best price, and he was the fastest to respond (he came by the same eveing I originally called him). From start to finish he made himself available to any questions or concerns; he answered or returned phone calls every day the project was going on to keep me informed. If there was something done that I didn't like, his crew would re-do it my satisfaction with no issue at all. His crew themselves were extremely pleasant, professional, and did a great job overall. They made suggestions to improve the project as work was being done, and every suggestion they made was great. The project ended up being more involved and costing a bit more than originally bid due to some unforseen issues, but Aaron adjusted the price in a very fair manner. Most importantly, they finished the project on time, by the original date we'd agreed upon to have the work completed by (even with the unforseen issues). We were very happy with the finished product; we've received multiple compliments from neighbors, and many have asked for the company's name. Aaron is a true businessman who sticks to his word and doesn't change his price or story, which in itself is rare today and says enough. If you want a company who gives you a great price, is professional, sticks to their word, finishes on time, makes great suggestions, and does great work call Extreme Decks.

Aaron answered the phone promptly and came out the very next day to give me an estimate. He also helped me with some good design ideas for the new deck which was a little different from the old one. They showed up at the time they said they would and worked efficiently to install the deck. They were polite, neat and worked very quickly. I also was wondering about replacing my fence, but Aaron actually told me that he could do it, but I could get a few more years out of the fence if they just added some nails etc to it and he threw that in for free. It was a pleasant surprise that someone could be honest enough to tell me not to spend money when he could have actually made a fair amount of money redoing my fence for me. The only unusual thing about the whole project was that he did not want an advance, did not ask me to sign a contract and preferred to be paid cash all at the end of the project once I was satisfied. And sicne I was impressed by his knowledge and attitude I trusted him and he came through with everything he promised on the project for me.

Extreme Decks removed my pool deck. They were great! I called Aaron to schedule an estimate; he came out within a day and gave me a price. When I decided to go forward with the project, they again were very quick in coming out to get the project completed. They took down the deck and cleaned everything up. I would definitely recommend the company. They did good work and their pricing was very fair.

If you need a job done right and don't care about fancy estimates and official documents this is the place for you. I'm terrible with names but Scott and Ray I think came and were amazing, talked to me and never stopped working. They went above and beyond, I think it was around 2 to 3 hours for the complete job, AAA++++ all the way Thank you guys for a great job...Highly recommended

I had an idea of the type of deck I wanted, so after discussing a few minor changes, the guys got started right away. They were pleasant to work with and it turned out beautiful.

Aaron could not have been any nicer, period. I cannot recommend him enough. His pricing is very, very competitive and he is down to earth, answers every call, and never, ever pressures you. Although we had to call off our project I would definitely use him for our next one. He is exactly what most families want, he treats you well, treats your home with respect and doesn't fleece you on pricing. He is polite and professional and makes every effort to accommodate you. We couldn't be happier with the result. Aaron and his crew of 4 did a superb job and went well beyond our expectations. The workmanship and professionalism of Extreme Decks is outstanding. These people work very hard to finish on time and on budget. They arrive on time, and leave the job site every day, not leaving a single piece of scrap wood or paper on the ground. Everyone in the team who worked for us had several years of seniority with the Company, which is very rare nowadays, and they all conducted themselves extremely professionally. They delivered what they committed to, and more. There are not many contractors who don't ask for a single penny upfront, not even for the materials, and asked to be paid 100% of the quoted price when the job is completed to the customer's satisfaction? That's the way Extreme Decks conducts business and that says it all. As a matter of fact, one of my neighbors witnessed the whole project from start to finish and contracted with them for the same project.

The deck construction began on Friday 5/2/2014 and was completed on Tuesday 5/6/2014. The crew worked all weekend long at times in the rain to finish the project in a timely manor. We love our deck, and would use Extreme Decks in the future if needed. They were able to build the deck exactly as we envisioned it to be. We had an idea in our head and they made it happen.
