A+ PLUS CONCRETE & FOUNDATION REPAIR

The man who did the repair work was very nice. He went over everything with me, answered all my questions and even filled a crack in my garage floor. The owner, Gary, stopped by also and also discussed things with me. In all they were both professional and someone I would call back AND recommend to others.

They were great ! Everything was fine.

We were very satisfied with the work and how neat it looked. The cracks were filled a short distance into the garage as a preventive, however, I felt for appearance the filling was stopped short. The owner Gary was super understanding and Walter was a very skilled craftsman. We appreciate both gentlemen.

Gary Salerno's crew was punctual and thorough in performing the contracted work. At first, we were very pleased with our new garage floor, but sadly our satisfaction with the job was short-lived. Just weeks after parking in the garage, we noticed "hot-tire pick-up" on both sides of the garage. When we contacted Gary, he blamed it on our vehicle tires (which are standard Michelin) and offered mats to park on. When we told him mats were not what we wanted, he sent his crew back to resurface and paint the affected tire-blemished areas, telling us he'd never experienced this before and how superior his PPG Paints product was, so the problem had to be our tires. Shortly after the second resurfacing, "hot-tire pick-up" was happening again. After speaking to Gary about the recurring problem, his answer was to simply clean and apply more of his product his crew had left for us in a small container. Considering how much we paid ($2,165), we were then and still are very dissatisfied. Needless to say, after doing just that, the same blemishing occurred. Two years later, we continue to have the tire blemishing, no matter how cool our tires are--even in the winter months. Upon further investigation, we discovered that "hot-tire pick-up" is extremely common with garage floor resurfacing, contrary to Gary's incredulity. Gary Salerno is a great excuse-maker about his inferior product, and even better at making the customer feel like we were being unreasonable to expect to have a consistently painted garage floor that will last more than two weeks before needing repair work done again. Buyer beware!

Amazing. Gary and his foreman, Walt went above and beyond with the repair work. Walt re-pointed/ rubbed the joints and faces of every single block, even the ones that appeared sound. The final product looked brand new! I'd recommend A+ anytime.

After a pretty good storm back in June, I had water in our front "cold cellar" of our basement. I had originally thought it was due to some wood rot on the front porch and after having a few handymen out to look at the porch, a couple mentioned that some of the problem was due to the block foundation as there were a lot of cracks and missing mortar joints. I called A Plus Foundation as they were top of the list for foundation repair and Gary was quick to return my calls. He came out about a week later just due to being busy in my schedule. After having another company come out who said they didn't do that work, I was happy with Gary's estimate and set up a date for the work. Due to rain on the day they were scheduled to come out as well as schedule between us, it ended up being pushed back a week and a half but the crew of two (Nick and Cory, I believe their names were) arrived a bit earlier but got right to work. They started by pressure washing to remove any loose mortar. There were a lot of spots that needed work as years of weathering had taken it's toll on the block and I had a large chunk of concrete that had broken off. They took care of everything and ground out several spots and sealed things up. It made the block and areas around it look nearly brand new. I have additional work to repair some big cracks in the concrete slab that I will be having Gary come out in the near future to take a look at. In the end, the estimate Gary gave me ended up being the final cost which is always great Only issue I had was just a little bit of communication when the job had to be rescheduled as it took a few calls with a few days in between before I got a call back before we could get set up with a new date, other than that, it went smoothly

Weather delayed him a couple of times. He repaired cracks, flaking resurfaced areas, and resurfaced the repaired areas. It is better than before, but can still see bumps where cracks were repaired. There was material that they removed in my lawn and a beverage cup left on my property. A hose was used without my permission and they again covered it with repair and/or resurfacing compound. It is now about 1 month later and cracks are beginning to show in repaired area already. I am not a satisfied customer.

Gary came to my home the same week I called and was on time for the appointment. He investigated the issue and gave me helpful advice. Most importantly, he was honest enough to tell me that the matter was something I could handle on my own with minor labor, and that I did not need to spend money on a professional service for it. Because it was nothing he needed to review extensively, he charged me nothing for the house-call. I would gladly use his services again.

Gary Salerno, the owner, came to my house within 24 hours of initial contact. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He told me exactly what the repair would entail, showed example pictures, duration of work and the price (very reasonable!). I had a written quote the next day. The work was scheduled for 3 weeks later. On the day of, his crew - Walt and Cody - kept me apprised of their arrival time (they had another job before mine). They were done about 4 hours later. I was thrilled when I saw their work! I had to look really closely to see where the crack had been.... if you didn't know where to look, you wouldn't notice it. Walt & Cody actually went above and beyond the scope of work to turn in a perfect job which I sincerely appreciate. In the attached photos, you can see before & after shots. Their work was neat, tidy, they did a good job of clean-up, I couldn't be happier! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend A+ Concrete Repair and am having them back to repair two sets of concrete stairs and sidewalk at the front of my house!

Everything from estimate to work went smoothly and extremely well. Everybody was on time, and all phone calls were returned in a timely fashion. The three men worked hard all day despite the extremely hot and humid weather. Our stairs looks amazing and they even power washed some brick that faces the street. The workers went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied, even sealing a crack that I didn't realize was in a different place than the other work. I highly recommend this company!

A + Plus inspected the basement and found that the foundation was sound and concrete repair was not needed. Gary Salerno recommended that we grade the ground around the house so that stormwater would flow toward the yard instead of the basement. Larger gutters were also recommended. We were not charged for the inspection.

Gary, the owner, came out to our home to assess water which is leaking onto a wall in our basement when it rains. Upon completion of his assessment, he found that the problem was not a foundation issue but may be more of a window replacement issue. We truly appreciate his honesty and time addressing this matter. We will consider him in the future for any foundation and/or waterproofing endeavors.

Gary traveled a good distance to take a look at the concrete slab between the porch and garage. Unfortunately he had to advise that it would not be wise to just repair as the issue would probably be recurring and to instead get a full concrete replacement. I appreciate his honesty especially with the distance he traveled to come and advise that his services would not apply to what we needed. He even called to give a heads up that he was stuck in traffic and would be 10 mins behind schedule which was very much appreciated. I would definitely call Gary if I ever need any of the services he provides.

Great. Mr. Harry was on time and was very polite. He assessed the situation thoroughly, explained everything to me and determined the solution was so much simpler than we originally thought. After being told by several other companies we would need to spend a few thousand, I was so relieved to find out that wasn't the case. With everyone out to make a buck these days, you just dont find that type of honesty often. Don't hesitate to call A+ Concrete for your repairs. He's knowledgeable and honest. I'll definitely keep his card handy.

It went great. Two of his guys showed up on time and got to work immediately. They were very professional and paid attention to detail. We ended up needing an area of the basement ceiling scraped and repainted after the guys worked on the garage floor, and the guys were able to quickly coordinate w/me and Gary for the time and cost required to do the extra work. About a week after the work was complete, we had a slight bit of water coming in the room under the garage again and I called Gary immediately. He showed up that day and discovered that the problem was with the garage drain. It sat too high to properly drain and was not sealed well. He asked if I had a tube of silicone caulking which I did, and he quickly caulked the drain. We have had no further problems and I wish I had called Gary much sooner.

Sold me a service that did not help. So I'm not happy.

The work was done in tow days in an orderly and effecient manner. They were professional and very nice and personal!! They cleaned up after themselves. They even returned a few days later and left a gallon of epoxy paint for touch-up.

Gary was very responsive and gave a detailed description of the work that he'd be doing. He was also great about taking on the chimney repairs, even though I hadn't realized I needed them when we first spoke. *However*, the work on my front porch was amateurish and sloppy. I definitely feel it was over-priced and I did not get the level of expertise I was hoping for based on other Angie's List reviews. My standard for work on my home is simple- would this be satisfactory for your own home? In this case I would say No. The porch is definitely waterproofed, which I appreciate. But the work certainly doesn't look "finished".

A+ Plus was GREAT from beginnig to end and gave us a great quote and men that completed the work were GREAT also. Would definitely use again for any waterproofing/concrete needs.

Gary looked at the crack in our basement floor and gave us advice on how to fix it ourselves. I really appreciate how honest he was, and wouldn't hesitate to use him when we do need a professional to complete the job. He was polite, professional, friendly and helpful

Gary's team effectively repaired the cracks then sealed repainted the entire patio Rain forced a reschedule after initial repairs. Crew returned the next day and finished the job. Competitive price for the work.

We were very pleased with the results and price. We couldn't find many contractors willing to tackle our unique job, but Gary and his team did a great job. Everything was very fair and reasonable.

I received an astute evaluation of my foundation as well as a detailed and competitively priced repair estimate. Furthermore, the warranty on the work was the best among all bidders. Due to circumstances out of the control of this business, I did not end up hiring them. I would most definitely recommend them to others and am prepared to hire them in the future if their services are needed.

Appointment for cost estimate was done soon after I called. Technicians showed up on time as scheduled, and work was performed quickly and neatly. I was concerned that drilling holes in the concrete slabs would result in a bad appearance, but holes were nicely filled and are noticeable unless you know where to look. All joints between slabs were professionally caulked.
