A+ PLUS CONCRETE & FOUNDATION REPAIR

Joe and his guys are fantastic! We have a 60 year old house that needed some pretty significant repairs to the front porch, our root cellar beneath the porch, walkways and front steps. The team was here right on time, kept the work area clean as they worked, and touched base throughout the workday to let me know how the project was proceeding. They were friendly and the work turned out great - much better than we even expected. I will definitely be bringing them back in the spring to make some repairs to our concrete driveway.

Very pleased with the work from start to finish. Everything was done in a very professional way. The crew did a great job and after they finished their work, explained all that was done to make sure I was satisfied. They were very polite and respectful of our property and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left.

Like many others, I found A+ through Angie's List by their excellent reviews. I was not disappointed! Gary came out to talk through all of needs and make suggestions. He drew out our driveway and sidewalks and made notes/markings for each item we discussed. You can tell he knows their products and have done this a ton. On project day, 2 experienced guys and 3 newbies showed up. They newbies were shadowing. The two main guys definitely knew their stuff. Everyone was very nice and they cleaned up really well. They pressure washed our large concrete driveway, patched (using Flexcrete) in a few areas, created a concrete small ramp to angle water away from our retaining wall, sealed the concrete as well as waterproof one large garage wall. Very happy with the quality of work and everyone I interacted with. I already referred them to my parents and would definitely use again in the future.

A Plus fixed a water leak problem I was having between the foundation of my house and the sidewalk. The crew showed up on time, were friendly, and got everything done in a timely manner. I would definitely use them again!

Gary responded in a very timely manner with visit and estimate of cost. Work was scheduled quickly and accomplished very professionally by Steve.

He came out this past Monday for an estimate and measured and will coming out Friday for the work. He emailed me the quote the same day and has been great to work with so far.

We had minor mold in our basement that required mediation. When they opened up the wall there was a crack that I thought was probably okay but wanted to get checked out just in case. Gary came Thebes day after I called, was punctual, and took a look at all walls in my basement. He was very honest and said we just needed to caulk it up and that it did not require his services. I appreciated his honesty.

Being one of the projects I was most looking forward to getting done, I had high hopes. The original quote was done in early June and work was to take place on June 28. When the workers arrived, there was a discrepancy in the job (basically on what I thought was being done) - all the expansion joints were not being worked on. The one that was fixed, had a piece of felt tossed in with major room on either side. My quote said this was to be filled with concrete. They completed the job (sans the joints), though it took an extra day since they did not have all the materials needed, which is fine. The owner said he'd meet me to look at what else I wanted to have done that was missed on the original quote. He did not show or call. I called back, he said he'd come out and take photos so that we could talk on the phone since I couldn't wait at home again. He did not show or call. I finally got a call from his employee, Jeff, who said he would come by and fix the joints for another $450. Jeff showed on 7/26 and let me know what he'd be doing - again, not all the joints are on the quote - just some. There is clear a miscommunication on what I WANT done vs what the owner is seeing but I can't seem to connect with him to clear it up and he doesn't seem to want to make that effort. Jeff and the crew have been more than pleasant and hardworking - I would hire Jeff again in a heartbeat, but I would not deal with Gary again. I will figure out how to fix the joints on my own or call someone else. My best suggestion is to INSIST on an in-person assessment (if you can - I could not manage this). I attached a pic of one of the joints that did not make it on the quote(s) and picture of the joint that was supposed to be filled with concrete but a piece of felt was added with major gaps.

They did a wonderful job. This was one of the best home project experiences I have had. I have had to deal with many contractors throughout my life time. Many of them range from bad to just adequate. And then there are those who are a real pleasure to have had at their home for a project and this company fits into that category. Gary was super nice -- didn't talk over my head when explaining his recommendations and responded quickly to look at the project and submit a quote. The crew of two workers were also very polite and worked diligently on the job. Any time I went out to check on how things were going they explained what stage the project was in and they cleaned up very well afterwards.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gary. He was easy to communicate with, very responsive and his price was better than other estimates. He showed up on the job site exactly when he said he would for both the estimate and the actual work. This was work needed on an older home that was required in order to meet insurance company requirements. The insurance agent was very happy with Gary's work.

Initially I had requested that Gary present to my home to provide me with an estimate on reducing a 1-2" high, roughly 20-24" long lip in my basement floor that had been the cause of an injury that occurred in my basement. Gary presented promptly to my home on the day the estimate was scheduled. I was very pleased with his overview of the work that he would perform; admittedly, I wasn't certain if the price was right because he was the first estimate I got. However, Gary would ultimately be the only estimate I would get because I found him to be very likeable and honest; he showed genuine concern when I discussed the injury that took place in the basement. I liked Gary so much that, on the day of the estimate, I would provide his name/number to a friend who had discussed with me an issue he has with his driveway. On the day of the work, Gary called me ahead of time to make me aware that he was on his way, and he arrived in the timeframe that he had provided me during the visit. He brought his employee Jeff along who was just as professional and courteous. After performing the work, Gary asked that I come down to the basement to give my opinion on what I thought. I informed him that I believed there was still a slight lip in the floor and that I was concerned that it would continue to present as a trip hazard. I hated to ask that he reduce it down more but Gary agreed with no hesitation. A short while later, Gary asked that I come down and view the work again--it looked great! Admittedly, I was so pleased that shortly after Jeff and Gary left, I texted a picture of the work to my wife, mom, and dad. Ultimately, if you value a company's professionalism, kindness, and a genuine appreciation for its craft, I would recommend A+ Plus Concrete and Foundation repair be contacted.

Shane did a great job repairing the driveway. They also took care of a section by my front door for no extra charge. Gary was very informational, and explained all my options. Shane did all the work, told me exactly what was going on while he was doing it, and was very professional and polite throughout the process.

Everything from start to finish was excellent. Gary responded promptly when I contacted him through here and was at my house promptly. While giving the estimate, Gary gave his honest opinion and ended up saving us a lot of money by saying only half the wall needed to be done now. Also he gave us other options to help minimize foundation issues in the future. On the day of the foundation kevlar strap installation, the crew showed up when they said they would and immediately got to work. They got the work done quickly and correctly and cleaned up any debris or dust they made. After the work was done they went over what they did with me and went over the warranty information for the kevlar foundation straps they installed. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for foundation work, they do excellent work, are friendly, and very professional.
