A+ PLUS CONCRETE & FOUNDATION REPAIR

I telephoned A Plus Concrete to request an estimate on repairs to our concrete driveway. My phone call was answered the first time I called. The owner came out to assess the situation on the day and time we scheduled. He explained to me what he needed to do and wrote an estimate on the spot. I accepted, and we scheduled an appointment to have the work completed. The owner showed up on the day and time we had scheduled. He worked steady for most of the day and completed all the repairs that we had discussed. The price was below what I had expected to pay, and the repairs are excellent. I would use this company again for any of my concrete needs.

The floor looks great; you can barely tell that it was repaired. The job was finished quickly and the workers were professional and punctual.

They did a good job, fixed one leak and I am still waiting for them to come back and fix the second leak.

Gary was fantastic. If there's anyone out there hesitant to call on a basement for fear of some one trying to sell you on expensive services that you don't need - Gary is the answer to that problem. He came over right on time (Saturday Morning) and did a walk through of the basement and told us that the problems he saw weren't nearly as bad as my wife and I feared they might be. He said that all that needed to be done was some grading on the outside near the foundation and a couple of minor things that I could fix myself. No trying to sell me on anything I didn't need. Very refreshing (and rare) to find a contractor like that nowadays. I'd recommend him to anyone and he'll be my first call if the day comes that I do have a problem. Class act. Thanks, Gary.

At first the driveway looked fine, but after one winter, the materials and resurfacing in the one of the larger areas along the street began to disintegrate. I called Gary in the late fall of 2012, but he said he was very busy and then I knew it was too late in the year for any concrete work or repairs to be done. In May of this year I left Gary a voice message and he returned the call and said he stop by to look at the problem in about two weeks when he was in my area. This did not happen. I called again last month and left a voice message, but I have had no return calls or voice messages as of July 31st. The urethane and the resurfacing materials are slowing washing away along with the stones filling the cracks. I really thought the materials would at least get through one winter. I know it has been raining a lot this year, but should a customer need wait another year before the problem is checked. Maybe I need to contact a cement contractor.

Gary looked at the basement then went outside and walked around the house. He discovered 2 areas where water was getting in that need to be regraded. He told me to call in a landscaper to fix the problem. He was very honest and helpful, and I appreciate that he did not try to sell me something that I did not need.

Gary, who is the owner of A+ Plus Concrete & Foundation Repair was amazing to deal with. He was responsive to our initial phone call, showed up on time for the initial evaluation, returned all follow-up inquires after the initial visit, arrived on time to perform the work and finished on time. During the initial visit Gary did a thorough job of evaluating the problem and then explained the product, how its installed, what is does and doesn't do, the warranty (and what is really covered and what isn't ---- he was the only person to fully explain the warranty to me and describe what is really covered), the cost, and how long it would take to do the job. All the other companies we spoke with did not really describe the full warranty. Gary told us that straps placed on a partial section of a wall, while adding strength to the wall, would not be warrantied by the manufacturer and that all manufacturers of strap systems do not warrant 'partial' wall support. I had to go back to all the other companies to confirm this information or the manufacturer and Gary was correct in all cases. He was the only one to clearly outline what is covered by the warranty. Gary was very professional, prompt, polite, and neat. I would HIGHLY recommend using A+ PLUS for Foundation Repair Services.

Gary came to the house the same evening he called me. He assessed the issue and provided an honest assessment of what was needed to fix the issue. He provided me with the best fix to the problem that actually did not include using his services. Althought we did not use his services , I would not hesitate to contact A+ again when the need arises. Very professional and honest with me in how to fix the problem. Would definitely recommend.

Gary Salerno did a fine job, on time and on budget.

He was very nice and professional. He came out to give me a price and came back the following week to make the repairs. There was one issue that was over looked when he did the repair. It started to leak again, so I called and heard back from him within 24 hours. He came back out within a week and found the remaining issue and repaired it. I had a good test this week of rain, which is when the water would leak in around the pipe area and it was completely dry! He is a really nice and honest man and I would recommend him and hire him again.

Gary replied promptly to our call, scheduled an estimate in a timely manner, and communicated the entire way through the process. He was courteous, professional, and reasonably priced. The condensation issue in our coldroom has been resolved.

Had Gary come out to repair my front porch. There was a large crack that needed to be repaired, as well as some smaller ones, and we decided to go ahead and coat the porch with an elastomeric paint. Gary provided an estimate promptly and was generally professional and courteous. Job took 2 days, first was to repair the cracks, second day was to apply the top coating. Job looked good enough, but the paint did not even out surface imperfections as well as I had hoped. Fast-forward a week and the paint is starting to chip. Another week, the cracks are starting to reappear and the paint has clearly not adhered well. Contacted Gary shortly before the Thanksgiving holiday, never heard back. Overall, I wouldn't use him again, and really, this was a pretty simple job, kind of scary this company does foundation work. In addition, clearly with the crack reappearing that means there's an issue with the porch shifting. I explicitly asked Gary about the structural integrity of the porch, he said it was fine, that is obviously not the case and I'm moving forward with prioritizing its replacement. In short, work was performed and money was spent for nothing. A situation I sought to avoid by depending on these reviews to find someone who would give a well-informed opinion and perform the proper work... Or recommend something else.

Gary was very prompt and professional. Very nice to talk to. The work was done quickly with no issues. After a few months during an extremely heavy rain, we noticed some additional leaking and Gary came back out and redid an area that we hadn't noticed before. No questions asked or complaints, excellent job.

They were very prompt in coming out for an estimate, gave a fair quote, and then set up a time soon after to do the work. The results were very good, and they did the best that they could in addressing the back patio drainage without causing damage to the extensive multi-level surface. Very professional and easy to interact with.

Gary did a nice job. He was not only concerned with the effectiveness of the applications but also with the appearance of the finished job. So far the interior areas of the house affected by the cracks are remaining dry.

I called Gary for an estimate based on the feedback from Angie's List. He was able to provide an estimate within a day or two. I found Gary to be very friendly and professional explaining in detail exactly what needed done and how he would accomplish the work. We agreed on a date and a price. Gary was there on time and delivered EXACTLY what was communicated. The job looks great and I am happy with the results. I would highly recommend Gary and will use him again should the need arise.. Gary came out, gave us an in depth overview and came to do the work on the day he indicated. The quality of the actual patching and coating was pretty good, just a bit splotchy. The problem was that there was a lot of slop over. After i did final inspection i found the material was slopped on my freshly sealed driveway, my deck, the brick of the house, the garden hose, the foot mat and the porch pillars. I called gary to come back and address this, but he hasn't as of yet, about a month has gone by. Furthermore he did not seal the entire job.

I was openminded, I thought he would do what he said he would......

2 hours after finishing the job it poured rain. As one of the patched areas had disintegrated and there were dark blotchy spots scattered over the sealed areas, we called Gary the next day. He did not initially respond, however after we emailed him through Angie's list he called back and told my husband that he would come out. It has been over 10 days and we have not heard from him. This is unfortunate as we had hired him due to his rating and reputation for reliability on Angie's list.
